Next installment of Georgia Indictment read-a-long.

I am reading straight through, from the beginning, and am currently at
Count 1: Violation of Georgia RICO Act
All 19 defendants are charged with this count. There are a total of 161 acts under this count.

Any bolding is by me.

Keep in mind the "elector nominees" are commonly referred to as "fake electors."

69. Dec 13, 2020: Kenneth Chesebro (Trump lawyer) emailed documents to Michael Roman (Trump campaign official). New Mexico Trump elector nominees were to use the documents to cast electoral votes for Trump despite the fact Trump lost the election in New Mexico.

70. Dec 13, 2020: Kenneth Chesebro (Trump lawyer) emailed Rudy with subject "PRIVILEGED AND CONFIDENTIAL - Brief notes on 'President of the Senate' strategy." He outlined strategies for disrupting and delaying Congress on Jan 6, 2021, the day prescribed by law for counting votes cast by duly elected and qualified presidential electors from Georgia and other states. He stated the strategies were "preferable to allowing the Electoral Count Act to operate by its terms."

71. Dec 13, 2020: Kenneth Chesebro (Trump lawyer) emailed attachments to Michael Roman (Trump campaign official) and unindicted co-conspirator #4. The Georgia Trump elector nominees were to use the documents to case electoral votes for Trump despite the fact Trump lost the election in Georgia.

72. Dec 13, 2020: Kenneth Chesebro (Trump lawyer) emailed Michael Roman (Trump campaign official) and unindicted co-conspirator #4. He stated Rudy "wants to keep this quiet until after all the voting is done," in reference to Dec 14 meeting of Trump elector nominees in Fulton County, Georgia.

73. Dec 13, 2020: David Shafer (GA GOP chair) texted unindicted co-conspirator #4 and stated unindicted co-conspirator #8 would attend the Dec 14 meeting of Trump elector nominees in Fulton County, Georgia in place of an elector nominee who refused to participate in the meeting.

74. Dec 13, 2020: Unindicted co-conspirator #9 texted David Shafer (GA GOP chair) and confirmed he and unindicted co-conspirator #13 would attend Dec 14 meeting of Trump elector nominees in Fulton County, Georgia.

No doubt about it. He is despicable.

Despicable doesn't even describe T-- There is no word strong enough that I can think of to describe this thing- to me he is a thing- not even human quite honestly.

in place of an elector nominee who refused to participate in the meeting.

I guess that person was wise enough to walk away from participating in a criminal enterprise. Don't you know that person is feeling good about their choice after Monday's indictments?

Imo.

Yep. As I read that part, I thought, "out of all these people, that one is sleeping well at night."

Okay, I am officially tired of no judge shutting Trump down as in putting him in jail-He is getting away with threats and intimidation no other person would have gotten away with. I am tired of hearing how judge Chunkin (sp) takes no crap-- well she is taking crap and he is getting worse each day and putting people's lives in danger, including hers. She might as well put him in jail- then the crazies who want a civil war can come out of the shadows: there won't be that many IMO and law enforcement should be ready for them this time. How long is the justice system going to let Trump go on with these threats?
It's almost like the defendant is holding all of us hostage.

Prediction: "Find the riggers" will be the new "Let's go Brandon."

By now, we can assume the GOP endorses it.

ETA: Before I forget again, former White House lawyer Ty Cobb said that in his view the 'report' due out Monday will probably lead to another charge of obstruction of justice since a) it will more than likely be deceptive and b) intended to taint the jury pool.
snipped

I'm thinking the "report" will be smears against opponents.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the "report" reveal gets canceled, and I hope it is.

I am not holding my breath for any big reveal. I predict his usual nastiness and whining if it comes to pass. As Georgia's governor has said, "For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward — under oath — and prove anything in a court of law."

The former guy is lying and grandstanding and running a con... like he always does. Imo.

Trump prosecutor Fani Willis faces racist abuse after indicting ex-US president

Georgia prosecutor subjected to flurry of threats after Trump makes thinly veiled reference to N-word after latest charges

Fani Willis […] is facing a flurry of racist online abuse after the former president attacked his opponents using the word “riggers”, a thinly veiled play on the N-word.

[…]

“They never went after those that Rigged the Election,” Trump wrote. “They only went after those that fought to find the RIGGERS!”

[…]

Trump’s allusion to the racial slur was immediately picked up by his supporters on far-right platforms including Gab and Patriots.win. The sites hosted hundreds of posts featuring “riggers” in their headlines in a disparaging context.

The word has also been attached to numerous social media posts to Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shaye Moss. The two Black poll workers from Atlanta were falsely accused by some of the 19 defendants in the Fulton county case of committing election fraud during the 2020 vote count, and the indictment accuses Trump allies of harassing them.

Calls to violence have proliferated across far-right sites since the charges were made public on Monday night. Several Gab posts reproduced images of nooses and gallows and called for Willis and grand jurors who delivered the charges to be hanged. And posts on Patriots.win combined the wordplay with direct calls to violence.

[…]

And, yet, there will be people who will taut free speech and his rights. The denial that there is any planned action on his part is unbelievable. I am sad that his speech is appealing to so many.

George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and on and on. People act on what they have been taught or influenced to think. Mr. Floyd and Mr. Arbery were killed and blamed for their own deaths because racist narratives were advanced by people with a bully pulpit. Not much different than what Mr. Trump is doing now. Somebody will get hurt or killed just like on J6 but no one will hold him accountable for sowing the seeds.

Something is gonna give. And it would be better if he was in jail without his phone when it happens! He is creating a chitzstorm! IMO

Did the jurors knew their names would be released? If they did, they are an incredibly brave group of Americans!

Indeed. One does not expect to have to risk their lives for the freedom of their country, while living in their country of freedom.

And, yet they did. It is interesting to me that Mr. Trump never puts his own interest on hold to serve his country (IMHO). He never loses an opportunity to line his pockets or advance his personal agenda. The officers in the capitol, the jurors who will be excoriated by a Trump adoring public, the public servants who have had their lives ruined because they spoke against the status quo and those who have taken the fall for this man have paid a great price because Donald Trump hates the idea of losing a penny or a point. He will steam roll anyone at any cost so that he can say he won. Trump U. His Casino in AC. The workers/contractors who never got paid. The taxpayers in NY who lost tax revenue because he undervalued his properties for taxes while securing loans based on an inflated price when negotiated with banks. The young women in the beauty pageant who had him ogling at them and going into places where they were changing without announcing himself. THE LIST of his self interest is long and varied but yet many still say, "Free Speech" when he acts despicably. JMHO!

I couldn't agree more and honestly, in part, that fuels both my fascination with him and my overwhelming desire to see him finally, finally be held accountable.

I personally believe he's close to evil personified. A malignant narcissist or narcissistic sociopath...literally textbook. There's a sadistic component to his personality - he seems to enjoy hurting and humiliating others. It's just chilling to think he was ever president and could well be again. JMO

Signs Someone Is a Malignant Narcissist

Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder (and the severity of these symptoms) vary. But the following are common characteristics of malignant narcissists:
  • Preoccupied with fantasies about beauty, brilliance, success, and power
  • Unable to handle criticism
  • Tendency to lash out if they feel slighted
  • Likely to take advantage of others to get what they want
  • Overly concerned about their appearance
  • Have an expectation of being treated as superior
  • Lack of empathy for others
  • Inflated sense of self and inability to self-regulate
  • Have no remorse for hurting others and no interest in apologizing unless it benefits them
  • Have an attitude of deserving the best of everything
  • Tendency to monopolize conversations and/or mistreat those who they perceive as inferior
  • Hidden insecurity and a weak sense of self
  • Tendency to blame others for their own bad behavior
Additional signs of malignant narcissism can include:
  • Seeing the world in black-and-white terms, including seeing others as either friend or foe
  • Seeking to win at all costs, leaving a great amount of pain, frustration, and even heartache in their wake
  • Not caring about the pain they cause others—or maybe even enjoying it and experiencing it as empowering
  • Doing what it takes to protect themselves from loss, inconvenience, or failing to get what they want in any situation

“These jurors have signed their death warrant by falsely indicting President Trump," read one post on a pro-Trump forum in response to a post including the names of jurors, which was viewed by NBC News.

According to the report, the addresses were posted on the fringe site while the jurors were later specifically targeted on other, more mainstream sites including, Facebook, TikTok, Truth Social and X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, prompting the term “Civil War” to trend Wednesday.
