"Focus will be at the jail all week as both high-profile figures such as Rudy Giuliani and lesser-known co-defendants alike will have to appear.

Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said his department plans on following “normal practices,” including taking mugshots, when former President Trump and the other co-defendants are formally booked.

Of the co-defendants, former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows has filed to have his case moved to federal court, where he intends to claim federal immunity from the state prosecution. The timeline set forth in a determination on that by a federal court, however, would not keep Meadows from needing to also appear at the Fulton County Jail."

Can't tell me the brilliant minds here don't know exactly what Trump is:
The Trump team had explored whether Trump could do the ultimate counter-programming by scheduling his surrender to authorities, after the Fulton county district attorney charged him with conspiring to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia, to take place at the same time.

But even though the political team had pushed for him to be booked at the Fulton county jail on Wednesday, his legal team has been opposed. Trump’s lawyers thought Thursday was a more realistic option and intend to finalize logistics with the district attorney’s office on Monday, the people said.

At the meeting with the Fulton county district attorney, Fani Willis, Trump’s lawyers are expected to negotiate the scope of his surrender, including whether the former president will have his mugshot and weight released.
As an aside, it's gonna be mighty interesting to watch the next couple of years play out. There's going to be constant friction between legal and political goals and narratives. What helps him politically hurts him legally and vice versa.

snipped

Plus the challenge of convincing his supporters that his ratings, popularity, and poll numbers don't matter in the court of law.

His innocence or guilt is not determined by how many people still support him or the level of their fevered fervor. Some of his supporters find that difficult to accept.

It's like when they questioned Biden's victory when he didn't have rallies like DT did, as if rallies are the same as elections. They are not.

I wonder if I get arrested if I'll be able to negotiate having my mugshot taken.

I don’t understand why it’s being said that Georgia doesn’t have voting machines that provides a paper ballot that can be audited. That is how they were able to do a hand recount in 2020. It’s all too deep and convoluted for me and seems designed to create doubt in the electoral system. JMO

From 2019– Georgia buys new voting machines with paper trails | StateScoop

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced Monday that his office is awarding a $107 million contract to election-technology vendor Dominion Voting Systems to replace the state’s voting machines ahead of the 2020 presidential election with new equipment that produces paper records of ballots.

Under the new contract, Georgia will phase out the touchscreen devices it has used for the past 17 years. Those direct-recording electronic machines, also known as DREs, do not produce paper trails, raising concerns about the state’s election security and the ability to audit vote totals. The new Dominion devices feature a touchscreen on which voters make their selections, and print out paper ballots to be tabulated.
BBM
BBM. Georgia didn't do a "hand" recount. They did a recount using electronic scanners. Georgia voters have made it clear they don't trust the "touch screen" electronic voting system because they don't get to see the paper ballots. Raffensperger replaced an electronic system that voters didn't trust with another electronic system voters do not trust because they can't see the paper ballots. In 2020, there were discrepancies in several counties.
JMO

During the recount, which was done using scanners that read and tally the votes, there were discrepancies in vote totals in some counties. Since the results of a recount become the official results, those counties had to recertify their results. Once that was done the secretary of state recertified the statewide results, his office said in a news release.

Repeating the same misinformation (alternate facts?) over and over again does not make it true. The voters DO see paper ballots (according to previous links and as attested to by WS member and Georgia voter @vls12345) and there WAS a hand recount according to your own link.

If you keep reading past the paragraph you quoted from your link you would see this:

The recount was the third tally of votes in the presidential race in the state. After the initial count following Election Day, Raffensperger selected the presidential race for an audit required by state law. The tight margin meant the audit required the roughly 5 million votes in that contest to be recounted by hand, he said. That count also affirmed Biden’s victory.
BBM

Again, your very own link states that the recount was by hand. So IMO we’re done with the misinformation about these very clear facts. This dead horse has been beaten to a pulp.

Next installment of Georgia Indictment read-along.

Count 1: Violation of Georgia RICO Act
All 19 defendants are charged with this count. There are 161 acts under the count and I'm going through them one by one.

Any bolding is by me.

Reminder: "Elector nominees" are what has come to be called "fake electors." The real electors met in each state on Dec 14 to cast votes for the president. The acts below are all from that date.

75. Dec 14, 2020: Trump tweeted "What a fool Governor @BrianKempGA of Georgia is. Could have been so easy but now we have to do it the hard way. Demand this clown call a Special Session and open up signature verification, NOW. Otherwise, could be a bad day for two GREAT Senators on January 5th."

76. Dec 14, 2020: David Shafer (GA GOP Chair) texted unindicted co-conspirator #4, "Listen. Tell them to go straight to Room 216 to avoid drawing attention to what we are doing," in reference to Dec 14 meeting of Trump elector nominees in Fulton County, Georgia.

77. Dec 14, 2020: Michael Roman (Trump campaign official) emailed unindicted co-conspirators #4 and #7, "Please send me an update as soon as the State Electoral College has adjourned and all paperwork is secured."

78. Dec 14, 2020: Ray Smith (Trump campaign attorney) and David Shafer (GA GOP chair) encouraged individuals at Dec 14 meeting of Trump elector nominees in Fulton County, Georgia to sign the document titled "CERTIFICATION OF THE VOTES OF THE 2020 ELECTION FROM GEORGIA."

79. Dec 14, 2020: David Shafer (GA GOP chair), Shawn Still (fake elector), Cathleen Latham (fake elector tied to Coffee County breach), unindicted co-conspirators #2, #8-19 committed the felony of Impersonating a Public Officer in Fulton Country, Georgia by falsely holding themselves as elected and qualified presidential electors from the state of Georgia, with the intent to mislead the President of the United States Senate, the Archivist of the United States, the Georgia Secretary of State, and the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for Northern District of Georgia by placing in the U.S. mail to said persons a document "CERTIFICATE OF THE VOTES OF THE 2020 ELECTORS FROM GEORGIA." This was an act of racketeering.

80. Dec 14, 2020: David Shafer (GA GOP chair), Shawn Still (fake elector), Cathleen Latham (fake elector tied to Coffee County breach), unindicted co-conspirators #2, #8-19 committed felony offense of Forgery in the First Degree in Fulton County, Georgia with intent to defraud, knowingly making a document "CERTIFICATE OF THE VOTES OF THE 2020 ELECTORS FROM GEORGIA" that proports to have been made by authority of duly elected and qualified electors from Georgia, who did not give such authority, and delivered document to the Archivist of the United States. This was an act of racketeering.

81. Dec 14, 2020: David Shafer (GA GOP chair), Shawn Still (fake elector), Cathleen Latham (fake elector tied to Coffee County breach), unindicted co-conspirators #2, #8-19 committed the felony of False Statements and Writings in Fulton County, Georgia, unlawfully making and using a false document titled "CERTIFICATE OF THE VOTES OF THE 2020 ELECTORS FROM GEORGIA" with knowledge the document contained the false statement "WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, being the duly elected and qualified Electors for President and Vice President of the United States of America from the State of Georgia do hereby certify the following." This was an act of racketeering.

82. Dec 14, 2020: David Shafer (GA GOP chair), Shawn Still (fake elector), Cathleen Latham (fake elector tied to Coffee County breach), unindicted co-conspirators #2, #8-19 attempted to commit the felony of Filing False Documents in Fulton County, Georgia by placing in the U.S. mail a document "CERTIFICATE OF THE VOTES OF THE 2020 ELECTORS FROM GEORGIA" addressed to Chief Judge U.S District Court, Northern District of Georgia with intent to knowingly file in a court of the United States having reason to know the document contained the false statement "WE THE UNDERSIGNED, being the duly elected and qualified Electors of President and Vice President of the United States of America from the State of Georgia, do hereby certify the following." This was an act of racketeering.

83. Dec 14, 2020 David Shafer (GA GOP chair), Shawn Still (fake elector) committed the felony of Forgery in the First Degree in Fulton County, Georgia with intent to defraud, knowingly making document "RE: Notice of Filling of Electoral College Vacancy," purported to have been made by the authority of elected and qualified electors, who did not give such authority, and delivered document to the Archivist of the United States. This was an act of racketeering.

84. Dec 14, 2020 David Shafer (GA GOP chair) and Shawn Still (fake elector) committed felony of False Statements and Writings in Fulton County, Georgia by unlawfully making and using a false document "RE: Notice of Filling of Electoral College Vacancy" with knowledge the document contained the false statements that David Shafer was Chairman and Shawn Still was Secretary of the 2020 Georgia Electoral College Meeting. This was an act of racketeering.

85. Dec 14, 2020: David Shafer (GA GOP chair) instructed unindicted co-conspirator #15 to deliver to Governor of Georgia a document signed by David Shafer and Shawn Still (fake elector) titled "RE: Notice of Filling of Electoral College Vacancy." The document contained multiple false statements.

86. Dec 14, 2020: Unindicted co-conspirator #4 emailed Michael Roman (Trump campaign official), unindicated co-conspirator #7 and others, "All votes cast, paperwork complete, being mailed now. Ran pretty smoothly," in reference to Dec 14 meeting of Trump elector nominees in Fulton County, Georgia.

87. Dec 14, 2020: Stephen Lee (pastor) attempted to commit felony Influencing Witnesses in Fulton County, Georgia by traveling to the home of Ruby Freeman, election worker, and speaking to her neighbor with intent to knowingly engage in misleading conduct toward Ruby Freeman, by purporting to offer her help, and with the intent to influence her testimony in an official proceeding in Fulton County, Georgia concerning events at State Farm Arena in the Nov 3, 2020 presidential election. This was an act of racketeering.

These are notes by some lady on the internet from pages 39-43 of the Georgia Indictment and any mistakes are honest mistakes. Read the original: DocumentCloud

to be continued....
Bumping up the info about Dec 14 from the Georgia indictment.

This is the date the fake electors meet in Fulton County and cast illegal votes for president. It is the date that all electors in every state met to vote legally for president, but in 2020 fake electors also met illegally in an attempt to overthrow the election.

I pull it up again because a journalist who happened to notice the meeting is doing the interview circuit now about his experience on Dec 14 with the fake electors at the Georgia State Capitol and his experience with the grand juries.

I think a link would acceptable as the youtuber who conduced this interview is an MSM contributor and the interviewee is an established journalist, but since I don't know for sure I will simply suggest "Taking Feds with Harry Lipman" channel on youtube from today with guest George Chidi is interesting.

(I also think it's worthwhile to either review the quoted post above or read about Dec 14 in the indictment before watching the interview, but that homework is not a required assignment.)

Please stop misrepresenting my posts. I haven't posted any misinformation. My link clearly states that the "hand" recount was done by electronic scanners. Voters fear the system can be hacked. That is why there have been two lawsuits that are now before a federal judge in Curling v Raffensperger. I've posted multiple links. For election officials to blame it on the County's "managerial system" is absurd.

Furthermore, my link clearly states that:
Fulton County’s recount results showed 880 fewer votes than the results certified after election night, with an overwhelming majority of those votes coming from Biden’s total in the county. Gabriel Sterling, who oversaw the implementation of the state’s new voting system, called the discrepancy in the county “a little worrisome” but said it’s a big county that’s had managerial issues. He also noted the difference isn’t enough to change the overall outcome of the election.

I will probably regret jumping into this, but here goes. From the link

“We have now counted legally cast ballots three times, and the results remain unchanged,” Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said during a news conference at the state Capitol before the results were recertified....

During the recount, which was done using scanners that read and tally the votes, there were discrepancies in vote totals in some counties. Since the results of a recount become the official results, those counties had to recertify their results. Once that was done the secretary of state recertified the statewide results, his office said in a news release.

So the third recount was done using scanners.

Also from the link:

After the initial count following Election Day, Raffensperger selected the presidential race for an audit required by state law. The tight margin meant the audit required the roughly 5 million votes in that contest to be recounted by hand, he said. That count also affirmed Biden’s victory.

So the first recount was done by hand.

#1 was by hand, #3 was by AC/DC.
