“He called me at 8:30 that night and told me ‘I am on my way home. Have you finished cooking?’” Sharon said. I said ‘yeah’. He never came home from that point.”

Sharon said she last saw him on December 21. December 22 was the last time she had heard from him.

“He was lost,” She continued. “He says he remembers calling me, telling me he was on his way home and he said, ‘I don’t know how I got here’. He said, ‘I don’t even know where I am at.’”

Is it possible that Harold had a stroke while driving and that's why he was confused?

A family in Riceboro continues to search for answers in the disappearance of their loved one, Harold Eugene Clark Sr., who has been missing since Dec. 21, 2023. Harold, a 64-year-old husband, father, and grandfather, has never missed a high school reunion or family gathering — until he vanished a year and a half ago.

In October 2024, a hunter in McIntosh County stumbled upon Harold’s car in the woods. Sharon expressed her frustrations with the work done by detectives and the lack of progress in the investigation.

“I really don’t think we got treated fairly,” Sharon said. “It was like, ‘OK, we went out, we moved. We didn’t see anything. There’s no sign of foul play.’”
