I'm confused, did he leave with his dog, then take it to the neighbor or did he plan something, took the dog to the neighbor to babysit then leave? Where did he tell the neighbor he was going/doing?
Heres LE's take on this

From what I understand, he left the house on Sunday with his dog. He dropped the dog off at the neighbor’s house, said he’d return in a few days, and left. That’s the last known sighting, and his car was in the neighborhood’s parking area. Didn’t say where he was going and didn’t leave in his car. Hasn’t had contact with anyone since Sunday.

It sounds like he might’ve been planning something, but he didn’t say what that was. Though I don’t think LE knew where Ally (the dog) was until Tuesday when the neighbor came forward.

Cherokee County doesn't report into the PeachCourt Citizen (for non attorneys) and the other database requires an expensive subscription. So I couldn't see if he had any recent activity (traffic, family, civil suits, settlements,, etc) that might have warranted his immediate attention. The car being left doesn't fit though with a planned trip for personal or other reasons.

I'd love to see the video cams from around the tennis court to see if he walked away or was picked up by someone, very concerned for him. IMO

I will say, I reside in Georgia and received a phone push notification alert on this case (similar to how iPhones display AMBER Alerts). I’ve never gotten a notification on a non-AMBER alert case, so I’m really curious as to how this case is classified. Do they think he’s in medical danger? Physical? At higher risk than most other missing persons cases in the area?

Either way, this case is capturing my attention.

I agree, in the 4 states I've lived in as an adult I've never got an alert for an adult that wasn't disabled in some aspect (physical cognitive). I found a screenshot of the alert (attached) issued on behalf of the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency. Their website says nothing about alerts for people -only road closures/flooding/natural disaster type of notifications. HOME | emergencymanagement their missiion "protecting lives and property".

That’s exactly the message I got. Maybe they’re trying to include more endangered missing persons who aren’t in medical danger? If so, I do support the initiative 🤷‍♀️

Based on the Ring video, Greg pulled up in front of a neighbor's house and dropped off his dog,, along with bowls and food. So he didn't live on the same cul de sac. He then drove to the tennis courts and parked in the lot. Which means he either headed out on foot from there (which implies possible self-harm) or someone picked him up (which implies to me a planned disappearance?

If he headed out on foot, it doesn't make sense that it would have been an accident since he told the neighbor he'd be gone for several days. this isn't and area where you would go hiking for days.

I'm just noodling through some ideas.

That’s what I’ve been thinking too. I wonder if other neighbors have Ring footage too that they haven’t looked through yet. Or if nearby neighborhoods have anything.

Is there a linkable/credible source to back this timeline up?

I'm confused by the addresses. On google maps the road by the racquet club is called Racquet Drive. I presume this is one and the same street.

If so, the houses are on the south side of the road and are all odd addresses, no even addresses.
Secondly, the house in the video shown of Greg dropping Ally off looks to be on a cul du sac. There is no tennis club across the road.

Have I got the wrong place?

It's a different house. (and the house at 105 Racquet doesn't have a porch that looks like this.)

Do I have the wrong subdivision? Or is Google maps wrong? Or the addresses in the timeline incorrect?

I think you are correct - the street is named Racquet Drive (there is no Racquet Club Drive in that neighborhood). And, the houses all appear to be odd-numbered and on one side of the street, opposite the tennis courts area. There are also incorrect reports of tennis court address, that wrong street sited. Cherokee Tribune, 11 Alive, etc.

You definitely have the right neighborhood - that is what I get for relying on AI I guess.........

I have been observing the car left behind for a few days. Notes have been left drawn on the window as well as detective cards placed on the drivers side. The car is in rough shape. Taped up front fender and very dirty. There are visible items I could see: Black tape, scissors, Cincinnati Bengals cooler, laptop, lots of dirty clothes, and dog leashes. I will get some more pics tomorrow as the car is still at Racquet Drive as of 11/8. I did walk the river trial where the Ring footage suggested and found nothing. This is a very long trial, with multiple paths and steep drops to the river. Last police presence searching in the woods was on 11/05 that I saw. Ever since then, I have seen no one on the trails or searching.

All we know (officially) so far is this:

November 2nd, 9:09 AM
- Powell leaves his home with Ally
Time unknown, likely before 10 AM - He parks at the tennis court lot. Car was found there.
-He drops Ally off at a neighbor's house with food. Says he'll return in a few days. He leaves on foot for an unknown location.
-He never returns home or for Ally, and an alert about his disappearance goes out to GA residents on Wednesday, November 5th.

Here are the exterior views of Greg's car as of today. It is still parked in the common parking lot of the tennis courts. as reported. Going to get some pics of the inside in the morning to show what I previously stated.
