I wonder how old the other children in the house are, whether they'd be reliable witnesses.
I'm not convinced there were other children in the house.

Channel 2′s Audrey Washington was at the Lakeview Place apartments in East Point Friday, where crews worked all afternoon to drain the large lake while family members of the toddler looked on.

“It’s really critical. This is a 2-year-old boy,” Ischa Njoku with the East Point Police Department said. “We have to find this boy.”

North was arrested by DeKalb County police and charged with false statements and false reports of a crime. He was already in jail on an unrelated crime at the time of his arrest.

Njoku said police are not looking at anyone else as a suspect in the child’s disappearance.

Makes me hope there aren’t other children or they didn’t see anything. This reminds me a little of Lonzie Barton and I’m sure his sister lives with trauma from what she saw.

Yeah Lonzie Barton came to my mind when I heard the kidnapping story.

""Somebody's got some answers, just please say something," J'Asiah's grandfather Jonathan Wyatt pleaded Friday.

Wyatt said the search has been surreal as more agencies became involved and it has expanded. Police officers have collected evidence - but there are still no answers.

"I can't even put some of it in words," Wyatt said. "People don't understand, you see stuff like this all the time on TV, but it don't hit home."

I keep checking social media for updates on the pond/landfill searches, but it's gone eerily quiet.

Is there no Community organized search for baby J'Asiah?
Did everyone just go home, and shut the door?
Where are LE searching? What is the plan?

Poor little dude.
Looking at his photos, He has 'Sweet Georgia Peaches' for cheeks, just like my Grandlittle. My heart hurts.

Peace

Thanks for the link !
So... the father was already incarcerated, or was not home -- at the time J'Asiah went 'missing' ?

I'd imagine that LE have spoken to other family members ?
Omo.

My understanding (based on articles I've read & posted & that others have posted here) is that the father reported him 'taken' late Wednesday night. (Wondering if J'Asiah was supposed to go back to his mom on Thursday? And if something had happened to J'Asiah, the father might have thought he needed a story to explain why J'Asiah was missing.)

By Thursday morning/afternoon, it was looking like LE & the family (his mother/grandparents) weren't believing the father's story.

Thursday night/early Friday morning the father was arrested for making false statements (I guess about J'Asiah being 'taken').

The search for J'Asiah, as far as I know, is still ongoing.

The mother posted on her sons' help find FB that there is a search party going on at 4pm today. Bring drinks, snacks etc, they were hitting 4 different locations.

Hard to believe it's been five days... :(

J’asiah’s grandmother, Lariesa Mitchell, said they won’t stop searching for him.

“My daughter wants to look for her son, so that’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to look wherever she wants to look, wherever she wants to go. Whatever idea she comes up with and thinks she might need to go check it out, we’re right behind her,” she said.
