He’s probably using a new identity.

I feel there is a lot about this case that would be helpful but isn't our business.

Were there searches organized by his family, and if so, where and when? Are they appealing for help with additional searches?

IMO most likely is misadventure while kayaking or self harm.

I doubt someone harmed him and then parked his truck there, because they wouldn't have wanted to leave forensic clues in the truck and would have wanted to leave asap.

I think he went on his trip and maybe made a fateful decision last minute.

Maybe he was enjoying some beers and then parked the truck badly and went kayaking. Just speculating.

May he be found soon.
My heart goes out to his family.

Thoughts are with JDD!
With so many unanswered questions where do you even go from here in trying to help??
Status of divorce, distribution of assets, custody?

I think about Dax often and try to check in. I keep hoping for some sort of evidence to start pondering on a theory, any theory. So little is known, or so little is shared.

Me too! I’d love for some bit of new info that would help get us going again concerning JDD’s disappearance...but unfortunately pretty much all the questions I’ve continued asking are still unanswered. :(

In a situation like this I would so prefer he have chosen his own disappearance, but I just feel there is more to it than that. I’m learning at WS that most often when water is involved or close by, that it results in a tragic end. I so want this to not be that. His children, despite any current imbalance in his marriage, are certainly wondering where their father is, as well as other family and friends. Have friends spoken out much since his initial missing report?

Find John "Dax" Dunn

I just checked the Find John Dunn fb page and sadly there has not been a post since March!
Yes- early March. So what does that say? Not looking very hard for him. Which means they either know he’s dead or they know he doesn’t want to be found. I’m guessing the former. Mo

That was the last I could find from friends or family, but was hoping I had missed something. March is a long time passed. :(

How could they know that though? He is still in NamUs so I don't think he's been located.

He hasn’t been located, but if he was murdered, the killer would know to stop looking.

All I can find at the moment.

June 8 document for the following court date:

COWETA COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT SUPERIOR CIVIL NON JURY
June 23, 2020 09:00AM

CAUSE OF ACTION: divorce (includes annulment)
REMARKS: complaint for divorce includes minor children
FILED ON: 1.24.20

Thanks for posting that, @mlhenn. I was so sad to see that John's wife had continued with the divorce while he was missing. I was hoping that I would find evidence of the divorce being dismissed, or postponed, but I couldn't find anything after that document of the divorce being on the CC Superior Court schedule.

If John wasn't missing, he and his wife most likely would have been divorced, and we never would have known about it. But, because John is missing, we know about the divorce. It just seems so sad to be divorced while a person is missing.

Does this document mean they are officially divorced now?
Or is it just another step needed before the divorce is final?

Does he have a FB page?

It’s just the docket. Doesn’t indicate what the judge’s ruling was. What’s weird though is that the defendant’s representation is listed as “John Dax Dunn- Pro Se”. How can a missing man represent himself? You’d think the court would appoint someone to represent his interests- at least until enough time has passed to declare him legally dead. At which point, I believe his assets would pass to his children since the divorce was pending at the time he first went missing. Or per his will, if he had one & the court has it. This is iirc, posted links a while back as to how divorce in absentia works in GA. Going from memory now... Also weird there is nothing in the “notes” section of the docket. Not liking it!

Bird Creek Boat Ramp

I see where the area that JDD’s truck was found has recently been under construction. It appears the area got a facelift...new boat ramp, longer docks, & extended parking.
I’m assuming with all the construction & workers there, nothing of value involving this case miraculously was found.

This one is new to me. On one hand, it seems like an open and shut case for self harm. On the other.... it’s hard to get the little niggling thoughts to go away. Where are you, Dax?

Yes, anyone reading a synopsis of JDD's disappearance would instantly think that self-harm, medical emergency or boating accident would be the reason JDD is missing. But all of the details that contradict those scenarios nag at me every day. I really hope that someday JDD will be found. But, in the meantime, it would really help if the kayak, or any other piece of evidence, could be found that would help determine what happened to JDD.
