..he says "cory" not Cody.

Thanks for re-iterating that. He has a FB friend named Cory.

By the way, has it been confirmed in MSM that he was friends/roommates with the manager's son? I keep seeing folks post about it here but I haven't seen it anywhere else. I do know from his FB that he had a friend he was moving in with when he took this job, but do we know for a fact that it was the manager's son? Thanks...

You know I noticed that, but here on the forum everyone was posting as if it was one and the same person. ????? Do you know? ty

Does anyone know the correct pronunciation of Jorelys? It's been bothering me. The talking heads have pronounced her name so many different ways. This sweet, innocent girl was brutally raped and murdered, and I feel the least we can do is say her name correctly.

There is also a Cody who is the BF (I think...) of his best friend. Someone made a joke on her page on 11/24, asking if she had kicked him out. I think that's how it got started...?

I think it depends upon where you are from, but I have heard:

Hor-a-lee
Yor-a-lee
Jor-a-lee

In my opinion, the correct way to pronounce it is

Horaylee

Jo is pronounced Ho like in José

Y is pronounced as long E

RE is pronounced RAY

Whatever "pathetic excuses" are going to be claimed, (temp. insanity?) it won't be good enough to explain the deliberate torture he inflicted on Jorelys. This monster won't be free to play out his fantasies again. Was he bored, looking for a thrill, whatever. He has no soul, must be a disease that is becoming more prevalent. Why must we provide humane food, shelter, protection, and legal representation to this non-human entity. Such a waste. We should offer the condemned a choice of two doors: one that is crawling with poisonous snakes, and the other would depend on what might be his worst nightmare. Pick one.

I don't want to live in a society like that. Paraphrasing (I believe) Indira Ghandi, we don't have cruel punishments not because of what it does to the criminals, but because of what it does to us.

I am assuming we are not allowed to sleuth/post information about the family members, even if they have spoken to media, is that correct???

  • #150
we may discuss what family members have said/done in the media but no sleuthing of them outside the scope of what is said/done in the media.

That is my understanding of the rule.

I just saw this, so excuse me if it's a repost.

Her mouth was duct-taped, her hands and feet bound with plastic ties, and her body had been compacted by the mechanical dumpster only operable by maintenance staff.

“I used to hang out at his house," said Young. “He always seemed kind of weird ... He always seemed like he had a lot in his head but didn’t want to talk about it."

That is correct. We can reference them in context of the crime, or when talking about Jorelys in general terms.

His brother just seems so decent. I wonder if Ryan considered how this would hurt his family so much?

Well ... if he's a sociopath, I don't think he can empathize with (or for) anyone, family or not. :twocents:

BBM - That just makes me want to gag. Can you just imagine the horror in that little precious angel's mind? I am sickened by the people that do this kind of thing! I want justice and I want it YESTERDAY!

In my estimation he didn't think about it at ALL beforehand. But I'm sure he's thinking about it now.

Do we know anything more about the little boy who went missing for a couple of hours? I wonder if his disappearance was a practice run for RB... to gauge the response from residents and law enforcement, or just for kicks.:furious:

imo

Are any of you that are local, going to the candle light vigil Friday night? I will be going, and hopefully DH can make it, too.
