Hopefully now BJ's attempts to gain custody of the remaining children fails miserably for her since technically she now directly contributed to Quinton's murder by leaving him with the egg donor in the first place. Guilty by neglect.

My opinion of course.

I'd love to learn that Danny has some visitation with his daughter finally and maybe some rights returned if he keeps working on his sobriety and his life. I pray also that they can put this trauma behind them someday, including Paul.

eta wishing comfort and peace now for Quinton's father as well.

Just watched the verdict video and saw real tears streaming down the murderers face for the first time. Crying for herself, nothing for baby Quinton. I hope she rots in prison.

Chief made a great point by explaining to people who felt the arrest should have happened earlier that they knew what they were doing and wanted to make sure the case was tight before moving ahead.

I sometimes express frustration about the lack of movement in a case but this is a good reminder that the majority of LE, not just in Georgia but everywhere, want to solve these cases and bring justice to the victims.

We just watched a trial where everyone did their jobs and worked together to put a murderer away for life. And special blessings to the men and women who dug tirelessly through the nasty landfill. I wish I could hug them all!

Well said! It was nice for a change to have a case here (on WS) all go like clock-work and in with the right verdict this time! I wouldn't have been able to deal with with another Casey Anthony in my lifetime.

Ya bloody beauty! I've been out at the kids football training and just saw the news as I was poring my wine. An event She will never experience EVER (football/soccer) practice that is, I'm not daft enough to think She won't drink or hit drugs again!

She can cry all she likes. She did this.

I'm so glad her brother stood up there, and DY. Their humility said a lot. I hope they now go after B. Get those kids FAR FAR away.

A jury finding LS guilty of murder is not going to look favorable for the chance of BJ getting custody of the other two innocents. BJ is just like her daughter......crying selfish tears.

Billy Jo Howell now officially has 2 murderous monster children, hopefully the state of GA dismisses any attempt she continues to make for custody of children, dogs, cats, goldfish and any other being that needs caretaking.

I’d bet dollars to donuts that BJ’s comments are still self serving since she wants custody of the remaining grandkids. It wouldn’t look too good for her to defend her murderous daughter now would it?

Yeah, she was angry at first. I saw the first tears as each juror started confirming their vote one by one.

She just came to earth with a big thump.

And the only thing she's crying about is herself, and what her life is going to be like from now onwards, forever.

As always, her world is a population of one. What happens to her matters. Just her.

Oh really, I disagree- not because her daughter was convicted. But because she wasn’t charged with something herself.

I don't know who actually has custody of the other two littles but Danny mentioned in court that he did not have custody of his daughter I think during cross and got choked up about the question. I can't imagine in my wildest dreams that the state of GA would allow BJ to have them, especially now that the egg donor is going to prison for the rest of her life. moo

According to an msm article from October 26, 2022 they were taken into care:

Howell — who has been reported to have a lengthy rap sheet — had been appointed legal guardian of Simon’s other two children, aged three and just six months.

But the Division of Family and Children Services in Chatham County, Georgia, found she had “failed to provide adequate supervision” and the children have since been placed in foster care.

As we all know, once Children Services is involved it’s difficult for family to get them back. For good reason in this case!

BJ petitioned for custody in April 2024. The outcome is sealed but I’m pretty sure she was unsuccessful. MSM article noted that her petition came just before a congressional report on Georgia’s foster care system was published. The report actually named Quinton among deaths and injuries due to mismanagement. From the article:

It explains he was under Howell’s care as part of a Safety Plan from the Department of Children and Family Services. DFCS ordered it because Simon had a history of substance abuse and an open case with DFCS regarding one of her other children.

The report says that Howell, who has a history with DFCS of her own, left Quinton alone with Simon and that’s when his death occurred.

Thank you so much for the update and reminders/links about this matter with BJ. Poor babies. Being bounced all over the place. At least LS won't be able to donate any more of her eggs in the slammer (hopefully). The US should require immediate sterilization for all mothers who are found guilty of killing their children.
