GUILTY GA - Quinton Simon - Missing From Home - Mom ARRESTED- Savannah #6

Judge is having it delivered so as not to stop the jury work flow during lunch.. nice!

In judge Tammy's most demure and polite way, she's actually cracking the whip. " Get to work ! " ( You will be working through lunch )

So, question for you all. The one part of this trial I am worried about is during the instructions when the judge was speficying what exactly constitutes murder (I think she said several times that it has to be intentional), versus whether or not this was an accident. I don't remember all of the details, but if there isn't proof she did this on purpose (which I HATE to admit, there may not be), what do you think the verdict will be? Second question. I don't remember hearing about the vomit in the room before- a strong smell of vomit (noted by detectives), and vomit on his pillowcase and in the pack-and-play. What do you all think happened there?

My thoughts was she did SOMEthing to him that caused a concussion and... I don't want to think about details after that. :(
That is why they chose Malice Murder. I think it will stick
Malice murder is a general term for intentionally killing someone, while first-degree murder is a specific type of murder that involves premeditation and malice aforethought
  • Implied malice: A killing that occurs during a felony, also known as felony murder, or when the killing shows a depraved indifference to human life, also known as depraved heart murder.

I think the totality of evidence rules out accidental, and a huge amount of that is LS's words and actions on tape. The point was made that she was offered the suggestion of an accident and cover up all along by LE, and she never took them up on it, not even when she was arrested for murder.

Even a callous, unloving parent would concede an accident under those circumstances if it was an accident.

I think it's truly impossible to guess cause of death, but if I was going to speculate, I'd land on blunt force trauma or smothering/strangulation. Just because those are very common child abuse deaths for toddlers, and could be achieved relatively quietly.

Another jury question

Again about lunch :D

Mr Dean says he's going to have heart issues soon lol

We have one juror who needs their person something brought from home and warned in the microwave and can we have drinks with lunch.

Dean is questioning why these questions are coming to the court, that they seem to be logistical matters.

Clarification is that one juror brought lunch from home and just needs it warmed.

Foreperson is informed that all will be sorted.

This is not a question that goes to the Judge. There is a court officer at the door of the jury room you can ask this question. This is ridiculous. Her talk with the foreman should clear this up. Now the juror wants to know if she can microwave her personal lunch she brought?????????

Geez
Leilani won't be having one.

It will be good for her to spend a very long time away from drugs, alcohol, men and children. And it will be good for society.

I really miss the deliberation clock.

I'm curious, where is Quinton's Grandmother?

They went for an hour fifty minutes ish yesterday.

Today they've probably been going three and a half ish, if you minus off about twenty minutes for the two questions.

I'm curious, where is Quinton's Grandmother?
to my knowledge she was completely absent from the trial. Last we heard she was seeking custody of LS still living children. I have no clue how that has gone since minors involved and it is a family court matter. I do believe she has distanced herself from her daughter as part of her efforts to rehabilitate her own reputation. JMO

ETA just saw shadow's above, she is there today
