Good morning! I had a short panic today for oversleeping (I’m in the Pacific Northwest so three hours earlier).

So, to clarify, is the jury asking for drinks like cocktails and wine for lunch or drinks as in hot cocoa and macchiatos?

We are not sure. The question posed to the court by the jury foreperson was vague. I was just filling in the blanks....

The judge said they would be getting drinks with ice, so my money's on soda or tea.

Well, if I was on the jury I’d probably need more than a bottle of Faygo Red Pop with my lunch!

Seriously though, while it’s frazzling waiting for a verdict it’s probably good that the jury is…

Aw, who am I fooling? I thought for sure we’d see a verdict by now. I’m hoping that it’s just filling out paperwork and deciding to have a last lunch together that’s holding things up.

Gannon, they took eight hours and there were far fewer charges. I'm not panicking yet.

Thank you for that reminder! Yes, it’s way too early to start worrying.

The state brought a strong and compelling case, IMO one that the defense couldn’t counter, although Mr. Hilliard tried his best.

In some ways the case made itself through the videos, texts and gps maps. In your face evidence.

I'd sure like to see Billie Joe at least questioned if not charged. She knew she wasn't supposed to leave Quinton with his poor excuse of a mother, yet she did. Do any of our legal minds have thoughts on this?

Yeah, that’s reasonable- they could have decided to give themselves a break to eat, then take a vote again afterwards to see where everyone stands, or what further questions anyone has (among the jurors, not for the judge) and wants to discuss before deciding on the verdict.
