Hylton is focusing a lot on Drinks murder video surveillance from the FedEx.
They are arguing over exhibits and evidence relating to Stillwell's ankle monitor that allegedly shows he was at the same location as Drinks shown in the video from FedEx. Whitaker is saying that it's not what the defense is arguing and she seems to be getting frustrated.
Weinstein brought up a motion to exclude Viverito as a witness and strike her testimony.He claims there was an altercation outside in the hallway between Viverito and Kayla Bumpus.Whitaker asks why this is relevant and Abate says because Bumpus is married to Stillwell.
Whitaker decides just to move on and asks the jury and Viverito to be brought in. "We don't know if she is actually married to him," Whitaker said about Bumpus and Stillwell being married and bringing up Bumpus name.

Note - this isn't uncommon. Defendants are not required to put on witnesses and we often see the work done on cross-exam in the trials we cover around the country.

Judge Whitaker GRANTS the motion for directed verdict on 3 of the charges against Deamonte "Yak Gotti" Kendrick- see attached images. All other charges will go to the jury for the two defendants.

Judge Whitaker is handling the directed verdict motions from both defendants first before continuing with jury charges.
Doug Weinstein, attorney for Deamonte Kendrick, said they are moving for a directed verdict in all counts against Kendrick.
Weinstein argues that the overt acts before May 10, 2017 should not come in.
He is asking for a directed verdict on all the over acts in the indictment before May 10, 2017.
"I do not believe that they have presented to this jury any form of an overarching conspiracy that would tie those acts together," Weinstein said.
Max Schardt, attorney for Shannon Stillwell, is now up arguing for directed verdict for all counts against his client.
Schardt makes the same argument that any of the overt act before May 10, 2017 can't be used.
Whitaker said she is not convinced that the over acts before May 10, 2017 shouldn't be presented to the jury.

Those three charges are against Deamonte Kendrick in relation to the search of Young

It appears that closing arguments will be delayed until Friday but won’t finish until Monday and jury is charged by then.
The problem is Thanksgiving is next week so there are some concerns about the jury begin deliberating before Thanksgiving Day.

For those new to following trials, jury instructions are almost always very long, very cumbersome, and confusing. Also, they are very important. Cases get overturned on errors in jury instructions.
