I think it is important to bring up for a few reasons.
One, people are posting about this officer's ONE written reprimand in 7 years on the job. As if that means he is a horrible officer.
Two, people and various articles keep harping on him being a father of four, and his 8 yr old's birthday party, as if that means he should have been given a break on the drunk driving....and I think those convictions paint a different picture than what he portrayed during his lie fest with the officers.
Three, being on probation means that his arrest would have sent him back to jail for quite awhile. And it may also explain why the cop didn't just pat him on the back and say I'll drive you home .
When you get probation it means that you aren't supposed to be out drinking, and making bad choices like drunk driving. There is no excuse for that. He keeps talking about his 4 kids, but what kind of choices was he making to be drunk driving while on active probation?
