Yes this does mean a taser is considered a deadly weapon. In the Javier Ambler case it actually killed him.
Morning all!
It's the convenient selecting that drives me bonkers. A taser is a lethal weapon only one if police use it, but it is not, if a suspect uses it against a police officer? Where is the logic in that?
If so many think its nonlethal then I'm sure they will willingly line up to be tased by one.
Again, this picking, and choosing shows many care far more about the criminals in our society than they do our police officers.
I think it shows how far we have gone down in the moral decay in our society that is ruining our nation.
I've long said when bad acts, and criminal behaviors are proclaimed as good, and excusable acts, and good or lawful acts are proclaimed as bad acts...we will see our country implode in on itself. Since I've said this years ago now, it's more obvious than ever before it's becoming true with every day that passes.
Just watching all of the violence, and destruction that is flowing out on streets all across our nation shows we are being overcome by violent criminals.
All of these horrific scenes show we are truly becoming the land of the lawless.
What is equally dangerous for law abiding citizens is the lawless is allowed to continue to rein because the mayors, and governors have been their facilitators.
When local, and state officials are the very ones who are on the side of the criminals, and care nothing about those who have always abided by the rules of law ...the criminals are emboldened, and those who long for safety, and peace are totally ignored.
Those things shows how totally upside down we are now.
I know this officer will be charged. DA Howard is elected so retaining power has always mattered to him.
But where can this officer get a fair trial? Where will they find fair jurors when they already know their verdict will spark more ruins, and destruction if it's not the verdict demanded? How will they not worry about their own safety, and that of their families?
Imo, even our justice system is being hijacked because of the fear of violent backlash now. So this police officer doesnt stand a chance even if the evidence at trial shows a much different outcome.
There are always two sides to every story. We have seen, and heard only one. Imo, the other side of what was in this officer's mind at the time will be ignored. He will be used as a scapegoat to appease all of the violent masses. They've already showed everyone how extremely violent they truly are, and what they are capable of doing.
How they can say they want to be treated fairly then turn right around, and unjustly treat innocent people in countless cities everywhere?
I've never understood why they feel they have a right to steal, burn, kill, and injure others? They already had to know they were going to getaway with all of these serious felonies.
Imo, they really don't believe all BLM either. That was painfully obvious when the retired police captain was murdered by someone of his own race, and his same race did nothing to help him as he lay there bleeding to death in front of them all.
I think it's the hypocrisy, and total double standards that confuses me the most.
