I thought the picture was very similar to the suspect...the lips, eyes, etc. A defense lawyer on JVM show, of course, said there was NO resemblance and that would be the best thing for the defense.

I am hoping she is the one that turned him in.

But if things were going on in the office.......the coworkers will know. They always do even if the couple thinks they don't.

IMO

Someone close to me works with these people. So far, no inter office rumblings about an affair....just lots of shock because both Neuman and Rusty's wife seem to be nice, successful people.

LE has stated that there were no tips or leads that lead them to the suspect. They found him purely by investigative work.

My guess is that Andrea tipped him off the morning of the murder by sending him a text message or calling him to let him know Rusty was in route to the Daycare.

If the police pulled her phone records they probably saw she contacted someone and followed the trail to a man who matched the sketch, was her boss and who possibly used to drive a silver minivan.

I am pretty surprised that the wife has not yet been arrested. I expect the suspect to turn on his accomplice in order to avoid the death penalty. I cannot imagine the emotions the Sneiderman family is going through right now.

I doubt a text message tip off was sent. If a text was sent the cops would have figured this case out in 2 days as opposed to 7 weeks. I also think the players in this case are too smart to send a text like that. Everybody knows text messages make excellent evidence. (see Kwame Kilpatrick) Now it is possible that both parties involved had throw-away phones... I think a couple days of following someone around, one could pick up their habits and communication with texts would be unnecessary.

One thing that strikes me odd is the mini van. I doubt a man that has 2 college age kids would drive a mini van. I also doubt a guy that was going to murder his lovers husband (most likely) would drive his own vehicle. I think this mini van was purchased for the sole reason of committing this murder and I think it will be found shortly.

There is a resemblance but I likely wouldn't have said Hemy was the man in the sketch.

I also thought the sketch made the killer look very human and very sad, he looks heartbroken. The artist is the same woman that did the famous Eric Rudolph composite, she is very very talented.

I've wondered about the wife having an affair with her boss, and then the boss killing the husband.

But there is also the possibility that the wife and her boss were not at all involved, that the boss lived in a fantasy world where he thought that if he killed the hubby, she would fall into his comforting and welcoming arms, kwim?

I know we become cynical here at WS reading about all these crimes and the first thing most of us think is "the spouse did it!"

But, your suggestion is what I was thinking (hoping?) this time too. Maybe the Boss became obsessive with Wife (Wife doesn't have to be aware of Boss's "obsession") and thought if he killed Husband then he could get Wife...

As far as wife not recognizing Boss from the sketch, it could be as simple as grief clouding thoughts... Boss doesn't have a beard, so the beard throws off the thought that sketch resembles boss...

I hope for once, it's something like this... we become so cynical here that it feels good when we're actually proved wrong... and spouse is actually innocent.

I kept thinking......... now who would know he was going to be at the daycare that morning and know exactly what time he would be there.

Well his wife sure would know wouldn't she?

This is such a sad turn of events.

I pray this man is just some kind kook but that is very naive thinking, I know.

Did she tell the police about this man? If he was her boss she had to know his feelings about her husband. I have a feeling she said nothing about him to LE.

One article said more arrests could be coming. If she had any knowledge of this or was part of it then I hope Rusty gets full justice for all those who plotted against him.

Sadly, it is like many other cases. IF she and the suspect are involved then they wanted all of Rusty's money and didn't want to settle for half in a divorce.

I hope and pray for the children's sake their mom had no involvement but really.... not much else makes any sense.

IMO
I agree, ocean. How would the suspect know Rusty would be dropping off the child at daycare, and lie in wait for him there? Maybe Rusty's wife just innocently told her boss he'd be going there, as relating to her work schedule. I hope that is all it was. But I am still curious what led LE to arrest Neuman if they haven't recovered the minivan or gun and would like more information about him owning either. MOO

I think it's easier to see the resemblance of the suspect and the sketch after the fact. The sketch guy had a beard, looked menacing, and was wearing a cap. His coworkers probably had NO reason to believe he was involved so they werent even considering it. I mean it's not a 100% dead ringer. I look at it and see a resemblance but surely wouldn't have picked him out in a grocery store saying oh there's the killer!
I don't fault co-workers for not making the connection either, especially with the position Neuman held at the company. I do see a resemblance between the sketch and photos of Neuman, however, wouldn't have made the connection either especially due to the heinous nature of the crime, if I were someone who worked with him and if he never showed any signs of being capable of doing such a thing. 'Key Evidence' Possibly Recovered In Dunwoody Day Care Killing

DUNWOODY, Ga. -- Just days after police arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a Dunwoody father of two, Channel 2 Action News has learned that investigators may have a key piece of evidence in the case.

In the hours after the shooting of Rusty Sneiderman outside his son's preschool, police said they were looking for a silver minivan speeding away from the scene.

On Thursday, a Channel 2 crew spotted a silver Kia Sedona with South Carolina plates leaving the Dunwoody Police Department on a wrecker. Hours later, Channel 2 tracked the van to a Chamblee impound lot. Workers told Channel 2 Action News reporter Mike Petchenik that police had been processing the vehicle for clues Thursday.

A spokesman for Dunwoody police wouldn't confirm or deny to Petchenik that the van was the getaway vehicle, but instead deferred all questions to the district attorney's office. On Wednesday, Sgt. Mike Carlson told Channel 2 Action News investigative reporter Jodie Fleischer that police hadn't found the murder weapon, but he wouldn't say whether they'd recovered the vehicle.

Hemy Neuman, 48, of Buckhead, was arrested Tuesday and charged with Sneiderman's slaying

If the Kia Sedona is connected to the murder, and the South Carolina plates belong on the vehicle, I am curious how it is connected to Neuman. :waitasec: MOO

If Boss was "obsessed" with Wife then he may have stalked Hubby and learned his movements...

Is the child care facility a day care (i.e. drop off whenever you need to) or nursery school (class starts at 9)?

One comment, How would the wife not recognize the boss?

Goz

RIP and blessings Rusty. We care.

I wonder if it has been traced back to a family member of Neuman.

He may have given them some excuse why he needed to use it and they didn't think a thing about it but when he was arrested maybe the family member notified LE or LE has sent investigators out of state to interview family members and found the minivan that way.

IMO, a lot of planning went into this.

Looks like the press conference was cancelled due to department rivalry. The Dunwoody PD announced the press conference, then cancelled saying all updates would now be officially provided ONLY by the Dekalb district attorney's office.

Dekalb then said they had "no idea" what updates the Dunwoody Police planned to give as nothing was concrete.

Yes I agree it seems the murder was well planned (the beard, the van, etc...) but then again it seems like the LOCATION was a very very bad choice and maybe a last minute idea. Hemy does NOT look like a stupid man, why did he do it this way? The shooting should have looked random, or if the goal was just to get RID of Rusty then have him simply disappear, lots of bodies show up in the Georgia woods months later (found cause they were just lying there, you never hear them find any that were buried).

Course if a body goes missing for too long it does create legal problems with insurance and other things, and it would put the wife under a lot of scrutiny for months or even years during the "search".
