Popsicle, I went back and saw Hemy Neuman's statement during his sentencing...what I saw is that he showed real emotion and it seemed like his regret and sadness for what happened was true. Also he specifically said sorry to Rusty's family, and that also came across as heartfelt, IMO. I did not sense any bitterness towards Rusty, and he said everything his brother (Steven) said about Rusty is true, he was a great guy, etc...that also came across to me as believable and what he feels today.

I was struck by how different Hemy and Andrea's statements were. Andrea was lying the whole time, fake-crying, never showed any real remorse for Rusty himself. And that was HER HUSBAND!! Hemy showed more remorse and sadness for her husband than Andrea did for her own husband...what does that tell us? I'm sure Mr. James the prosecutor must be engraged that they do not have enough proof against her...every thing she does and says screams out that she masterminded the whole plan. Disgusting human being. It's so obvious to me that Hemy Neuman did not have the ba**s to concoct this whole plan by himself.

I hope they are able to lock away Andrea for life someday. Hopefully they've given Hemy some mental meds to get his head straight and be able to see her for who she is.

I think her statement was VERY telling when she said, "I want my life with Rusty back." SAY WHAT?!?!? To me that's as close as she's come so far to confessing to her part in this crime. If she were innocent she would have said, "I want my husband back. I miss him so much." Interesting how she wants her life with Rusty back, not her husband's life back. That's what she lost in conspiring in his murder, her lifestyle, not his life.

I wish they would do us all a favor and just give her Ariel Castro's bed sheet and save the Georgia taxpayers a lot of money and probably countless lives.

Oooh Madam, good point! Just shows her narcissism. It's like when we broke down CMJA's "speech," everything was about me, me, me. That's how these narcissists work. Even when talking about their victims, they're still talking about me, me, me.

Why doesn't the judge just order that that money be placed in a special account to be only accessible by Rusty's children at the age of 18? Surely there must be some law the judge can use for this....plus it would appear very unseemly for Andrea to block that because it would appear as though she's trying to block it from her own kids. So I don't understand why they don't settle on that?

andrea sneiderman's bond hearing rescheduled for Dec 12.
No reason given, but the longer she's in jail, the better.

  • #1,254
I agree the longer the better and I hope all her assets are FROZEN until this is OVER
The state needs to try her on Rusty's murder. Period end of story. They never should have backed down. TRY THIS woman; so the family has JUSTICE.

Since the state only gets one bite of the apple, it makes sense for them to not waste it if they don't have enough evidence to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt. There's no statute of limitations on murder, so it takes as long as it takes. But, if they can't prove a murder charge then why waste their 1 and only 1 chance?

Sneiderman family settles wrongful death case against widow

A judge signed the consent order Tuesday releasing the freeze on $2 million in life insurance money, in light of a confidential settlement.

Rusty's brother, Steve Sneiderman, sued his sister-in-law Andrea after her boss was convicted of murdering Rusty. Steve sued in an effort to preserve the insurance money for Rusty's children. His attorney would not disclose the terms of the settlement.

I bet the settlement involves putting the money in trust for the children, not to be touched by the black widow. Not that we'll ever know... but that's my guess.
