I have to give credit where credit is due. Thank you to law enforcement for doing their job quite well in spite of everything else. My hat's off to you! Rest well Sam. Your untimely death will not be in vain.

Dakota was the friend who claimed Sam was at his house fixing his computer and Dakota was the last to see Sam. Dakota likely told the story about Sam leaving at 1:30 on foot and barefoot. The reporter asked for clarification and they confirmed that was the story Dakota told but that story was likely not true--they declined to say what did happen as they are still gathering evidence.

They implied it was Dakota who revealed where Sam's body was but didn't outright say that. What we know from the press conference: Dakota was arrested around 10:30 PM, before they found Sam's body. Certain information they obtained during the investigation lead them to Sam's body. Sam's body was found around 2 or 2:30 AM (going from memory so this may be off). Brandon was arrested around 3 AM, after the body was found.

So, you have to read between the lines but it seems like Dakota broke down and told them, they arrested him, and went to find the body. LE probably kept questioning Dakota all night and by 3 AM had enough evidence to go arrest Brandon too. It is possible that other kids were involved and told what they know without facing charges, but if it was just Dakota and Brandon this is what it looks like happened, IMO. LE during the press conference said they would not rule out making more arrests connected to this case but they believe they got the "2 main players".

They also said to expect more charges than just murder. Just to speculate what the charges are--I think additional charges will have to do with moving Sam's body to where they left him. The reason I think they moved the body is that during the press conference they confirmed Sam was killed within the city of Perry, but his body was found 4 or 5 miles outside the city limits. LE didn't say these two statements together as one thought. This was in answer to reporter questions. They may not have realized they gave away that the body might have been moved by sharing that info, but that is the conclusion I drew. They also said Sam was NOT killed at Dakota's house.

Yes, looking at the sequence of events from Gardener's post above, it is logical to conclude that Dakota did indeed tell them where to find the body after he was arrested at 10:30.

I speculated that but it seems to be true from what we heard so far.

It's sad, teenagers killing one of their peers. Maybe over a girl?

Evil doesn't need a motive to feed it.

I feel that motives (such as jealousy) occur organically and violence is usually not the final result and thankfully so.

In my opinion it takes pure evil to carry something like this out. Undiluted evil.

I wonder if he wasn't somehow coaxed out of his house? That would explain no phone, bare feet. I wonder if the "texting" was along the lines of "hey, come outside"...

Someone reportedly picked him up from his father's house in a car. They might have really texted him to ask if he could fix Dakota's computer (cell phone evidence indicated Sam left his house around midnight to go fix a friends computer).
I wonder what they said to him to get him to leave his phone home?

The warrant says Poss was killed sometime between 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14 and 7 a.m. on Saturday the 15th. It says Poss was killed at Dakota White's home at 1102 Tucker Road.

And it says Poss was killed by "strangulation, suffocation and/or stabbing."

The arrest warrant was issued around 2:13 a.m. Thursday.

It charges Warren with a single count, murder.

White's arrest warrant was not available.

This Is just terrible. Has anyone been able to find any SM for them? I was able to find sams and he doesn't have them as friends but it's seems he hasn't used it in years
