I thought about this before I decided to post as it is OT from the death of Sunday, however if may show some family relationships. I found the obit for Ruby's youngest son, he lived in Tallahassee, but what I found interesting is it lists his parents (same last name as his) but does not mention Ruby at all. It names Theo as a brother (although he was listed as Wayne, which IRC that is his other name.
I would like to hear some of your thoughts on this.
I found the obit on a site that has a small fee.

what was the younger sons name? cant help search without name???

According to google maps, all that time Sunday was less than a 30 minute drive from the house on Briarwood Lane - barely 20 miles.

 May the murdering SOB's all rot in hell.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sunday you deserved so much more out of life :rose: Rest in peace beautiful girl.

Memorial Day Weekend has just taken on a whole new meaning to those that were lucky enough to know you!

The majority of all missing loved ones who are recovered deceased are usually within a 30 mile radius from where they went missing. Also, and this is really sad and scary...children are usually recovered within 3 miles!!!

So if Sunday was not taking Isabella to Tallahassee that day, why did they kill her on that day?

It's my guess...and only a guess...but because it was "that day" some argument may have transpired in which Sunday reiterated the fact that the only reason she was leaving Isabella behind is due to school and they can surely bet she will be back to get her once school is out. Not too mention it is only an hour and a half away to Tallahassee so she may have even told them she would be back that weekend or the next to bring her home to Tallahassee and back in time for school. Perhaps that put "them" over the edge. I personally believe this was premeditated and it will be interesting to see what Ruby and Herman are going to be up against. I hope it will be life in prison without any chance of parole or the DP. What is really sad is while they are sitting in prison and getting their meals, shelter, etc....the family is trying to come to grips with this horrible situation and have to figure out how they will afford to bury Sunday, where they will bury her and yet...those that murdered her do not have to pay a single penny towards what they created. They'll even be given an attorney at no charge. The family is aware of the future in knowing that they will be driving back and forth to trials, etc. Please pray for them. This is very difficult.

I would be interested in reading more on the stats you just quoted LD, do you have a link?

Seems like Georgia news ,got to take peek at hermans facebook page

A Look into the Facebook Profile of Man Charged with Blombergh's Murder

No, that was the Tallahassee news crew. They were one of the most professional and compassionate news teams. They always called and asked permission if they could interview the family...unlike some of the other reporters who were very disrespectful and would approach Sunday's sister and ask horrible questions about the condition of her body found. Just so sad that any person would do that...for a job or no job...it was not right. I commend highly the team at WCTV in Tallahassee.

I found the same obit on the Democrat website and assumed that Ruby had gave him up for adoption? Perhaps someone else will have the answer and share it with us. IIRC, there is a picture of him holding Izzy on Free's FB or MS, I cannot remember which. He was so young when he passed, very sad.

Not sure knox, good question tho....

One thing is really buggin me after reading this from the above link to the Tifton Gazette report:

I THINK it's pretty obvious DRUG USE WAS A FACTOR BY THOSE COMITTING THE CRIME!!

I CAN NOT freaking IMAGINE IZZY IN THAT HOUSE when anything went down!!!!

Hopefully she was in school.

But something tells me that house was not a good place for Izzy on any given day - not just April 22nd, 2010.

There are a lot of underlying messages in that comment by the GBI that cannot be divulged. Just let it be known that it will come out at trial and when you learn of it...it will make you cry...for Sunday...and for Izzy. I can also tell you this, Sunday was no longer doing any drugs. She had her life going in good places and did it for her daughter. She was promised a "safe place" to stay with her by the MIL when she left Theo. Hence she moved in with the MIL. (Theo stayed in Florida) Little did she know it was the worst unknowing choice she could have made. (obviously) As for the landlady...what else would be expected from a friend of Ruby's? Not to mention, she contradicted her own story in the media by stating that Sunday was incoherent and had sores in one breath and the next how she rarely if ever went to the house. Sunday worked at the Lil' Pantry...none of her coworkers saw her with sores. She maintained a job. Its very sad when the media has portrayed the victim as if "asking for it". Very sad.

Not sure if I can get you a link...it's common knowledge among those who are in the LE field, Search and rescue, etc.

Thanks for the info Lavanda.....after further reading it seems she was found even closer to the house than I had earlier estimated!

My heart breaks at the mere thought of it all.

:(

They say Sunday was a "great mom" & that's obvious in this pix..I'm glad her Dad is in jail & will probably never get custody whenever he does get out..From all that I've seen & read about him he isn't fit to raise his daughter..If he ever gets visitation rights some day I hope they're supervised cos, imo, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

That's not Izzy, but you are right amysmom, Sunday loved her daughter. As for Theo, you never know, he may get his life back on track and be involved in her life in a very positive way. Many overcome drug additions and lead good lives, let's hope that happens for Izzy's sake.

Does anyone know if Ruby was married or had a connection to a Brian Smart?

I knew people who worked there back in the day. They've always been a classy, compassionate operation.

Can you tell me how long Isabella had been living with Ruby? I thought Theo had brought her back from TX before last Oct. I am just wondering about Ruby's state of mind here (not that it excuses her).

Isabella never stayed at Ruby's without her mother. Yes, at one time Sunday and Isabella and Theo lived in TX. It was one of those on again off again relationships between Theo and Sunday. Keep in mind the TX stay was due to Sunday's parents live there. Also, anytime Sunday may have gone back and forth between Tallahassee and GA for job interviews and to help find where she and Izzy would live is the only time that Izzy was left with Ruby and that was due to school. Which is contrary ...again...to the landlady saying she would just disappear again. Apparently Ruby had motives for a long time and started out with not telling factual information from the get go. As for the boyfriend in Tx that the media is reporting is also not confirmed as a "boyfriend." Sunday had many many friends, male and female. She was a well loved person and everyone who knew her has made the remarks on her bubbly and outgoing personality and her love of laughter....and there has never been a negative response from anyone (Except Ruby and her clan) on her love and care for her daughter...it was due to that love that Sunday knew party days and fun were over and time to straighten up..which she did. Her last words posted as to her heroes is as follows:

Thank you Lavanda. I wasn't questioning Sunday's love for her daughter...I was just trying get my mind around Ruby's thinking...which is pretty much impossible anyway...and I was wondering why Sunday chose to go stay with Ruby when she has family in Tallahassee. (I was guessing maybe it was because Ruby already had Isabella at her house, which was purely speculation on my part) Thanks again for clearing that up.

Her family would have gladly taken her in...as they have in the past (Texas and FL) but keep in mind that it was Sunday who chose to be as far away as she could from Theo, but within driving distance to her Florida family. (She didn't want to go back to TX) So when Ruby offered...she took her up on it. She was only with Ruby 7 months until her death. Very sad.

Are you a spokesperson for Sunday's family? Anyway, I appreciate your clarifications.

My organization worked with Sunday's family in helping to find her during the time she was missing. I have to tell you that I've worked with many families and Sunday's was one of the most loving, kind, genuinely wanting to do anything and everything possible to find their daughter and sister. It's been devastating for all since her earthly remains were located. The family is extremely close, all are very good citizens who own their own businesses and work to help each other with their children, etc. A family Sunday was very blessed to have.

Thank you for all your good work! If only the outcome could have been different :-(
