Why would anyone research leaving babies in hot cars?
No one, supposedly, plans to do this and if they do, they are breaking laws already. Who even thinks about leaving babies inside vehicles long enough to go google it? What difference does it make if it is 70 degrees or 90 degrees! You just don't do it. I know I have googled some weird stuff thanks to WS, but this is too much for me, unless one of them has a manuscript in the works about a baby dying this way. Jmo

It made me wonder if they had left him in the car before? During a night time sporting event? Or went to the movies, etc. :waitasec:

Not just breaking laws but wilfully, deliberately planning to break laws and researching how to best go about it and get away with it - wouldn't that be considered conspiracy to commit a crime which is a crime itself?

If it's at all like our house, the electronics are "ours". The kids share computers, we all share ipads, kindles, etc. I think the only thing we don't share are our phones. Secondly, I find the searches odd as well. I live in Tennessee (another hot state) and realize that the car gets really hot in the summer. I have three children and have never felt compelled to search for information about how hot the car must be for a person to expire. I've done lots of safety research over the last 13 years. Which car seats are best, nutrition, stranger danger, you name it. But I think most searches aren't "how long for the bad thing to happen", they are "how do I prevent the bad thing from happening". That's what really sends a red flag up for me.

Maybe, but Cooper looks so much like him! Also, men like him tend to marry very subservient and naive women who worship them. Although it would put his "Cooper never did anything to anyone!" Comment in a different light. Maybe what he meant was "but his mother did!"

Cooper doesn't resemble him at all, only the mother.

I agree. I feel the breakfast at CFA was to possibly give Cooper something to make him fall asleep. My opinion.

(Just speculating, this idea hinges on it being a planned event, not an accident) -
I was actually thinking that very thing! I wonder if there is video inside or any witnesses that could tell in Cooper ate or drank anything in CFA. It's possible he wanted to drug him (for various reasons-- not feel as much pain, not cry out and alert people to his presence, etc) before he got to work. Drugging him would lessen the risk of someone passing by seeing a child kicking around in the back seat or crying out. By the time he was at work, the drugs may have started to kick in, depending on what it was. I'm guessing if this is the case and he was dosed with something not explainable, this'd up it to premeditation. You could explain a normal dose of Tylenol or Benadryl away, but not an overdose or Rx pain meds or who knows what else. The toxicology should be released sometime next week, so I guess we'll see.

Well again lets remember some of us "recently" researched temps and child death resulting in cars and hyperthermia etc. Someone mentioned in the last thread that in Douglasville GA a child died in May of Hyperthermia as a result of being left in the car. No charges filed. Now if they saw this and the child was close to Cooper's age and it made them sad and nervous or they just followed the situation as we have followed Ross's its not outside the realm of possibilities. However it can also go both was, the research could have been for all the wrong reasons considering its now happened to them after they both alleged making searches doesn't look good for them as a family. This should be explored by investigator in my opinion.

I hope CFL has good quality, in-store video. Perhaps evidence of this could be proven.

They they have at least 5 cameras and also panic buttons in case the store is robbed in every single location. I don't think they have any outside the store though (except maybe the drive through).

They are the only fast food chain that I know who is more concerned about the safety of their employees than employee theft (hence panic buttons in case the employees are in trouble). If your teenager wants to get a job at a fast food place Chic-fil-A is probably the safest place for them to work plus they get every sunday off (Sunday is God's day and stores are closed).

To be honest, if I was in the same situation I'd do the same damn thing, if I thought he was really innocent. I'd be angry. "You took my baby, isn't that enough, you AREN'T going to take my husband as well! NO WAY!"

I still have sympathy for her.

I have researched products to ensure it doesn't happen, because I am worried about it..but I have zero reason to research temps because I am worried. Because in my opinion any temp is the wrong temp, you just should not leave your kid in the car.

Yes, but our children aren't dead after being left in hot cars.
If he was searching because he was concerned this could happen, how could he possibly forget his child was in the car in a short time it took him to drive to work?

Yep. It's so hot here that a Local farm is turning a pasture into a mud pit, so the community can play in the mud and cool off. Even the water is too hot to swim in!! I still managed to never google what they did. :banghead:
