Well, at least she's not calling him Hot Tot Dad (no disrespect intended except to NG, even though I kinda like her).

OT
I just turned on CNN and they were showing Cheney Mason talking about "poor widdle Casey anthony" gag!
Book coming out??????

This morning she called him Justin harris cooper and Ross cooper on GMA.

I am sure she has a lot on her plate and her mind. But at least get the names right.

his middle name is Ross. Do we even know if he goes by that? maybe he does.

how long til the hearing? Need to lay in supplies and top off my coffee! :scared:

  • #544
They NEVER lay out their whole case until they have to.
That is not being sneaky. That's being smart.

To lay out your entire case in this hearing would be stupid. JMO

It is still very early in the investigation and a lot of things they have still need to be researched and documented.

Exactly! This is a hearing, NOT a trial

I disagree but that is how it works.

Eight things to expect at the probable cause hearing:

Probable cause hearings are shorter than trials.
The probable cause hearing is not a finding of fact.
The goal of a probable cause hearing is to screen the prosecution's case.
The prosecution is only required to show "probable cause" at this hearing.
The probable cause hearing will be conducted in front of a judge. No jury will be present.
Although the defendant may be held to answer for trial, that does not mean the defendant is guilty.
Neither the prosecution or defense will present their whole cases; they want to save their case strategies for the trial.
Cross examination of police officers or witnesses may occur.

Justin Ross Harris does reportedly go by Ross Harris and his onlie persona tends to be RoscoeUA at various sites.

yes the general opinion down here is that he will walk out of court today but it will cost him a lot of money to do so

I really hope it's a really, really high bond( I prefer none) . I wouldn't donate :twocents:, I'd rather waste my $$$ on losing instant lotto tickets that donate to his potential bond.

ETA OT.... I think Casey Anthony lives with Mason middle finger Cheney and is his housekeeper and .................:shush:

Of course this MD wasn't at the scene. We will have to see what the official statement from officers at the scene ends up being with regard to smell.

Oh for sure! I would think that a medical examiner would have a better idea of when decomp starts and smells so him being unsure is surprising to me.

Thanks for that. I did not mean that I meant for them to put on a full trial, I just hope they will share ALL vital evidence that leads them to charge him.

And I have a question for legal eagles..

In a trial the Prosecutor gets no surprises they have to give the Defense everything including exculpatory evidence.. Is that the same in a hearing??

So I'm still thinking no decomp smell in car. If RH went in a 9:30 and poor Cooper passed at 10:30am that would make him deceased for an hour and 1/2 at lunch and 5 1/2 hours by the time Ross got back into the car. If an MD can't say there would be a smell of decomp in 7 hours I'm assuming the smell that" stunk to high heavens" was a cooked dirty diaper. That would be rank. I would be that's what made RH turn around and look. No way with the car seat that close he wouldn't have smelled the diaper and or vomit if there was any.

Graphic, sorry.

There was another post up thread by a knowledgeable WS poster who works in a medical profession regarding the gases and liquids that become present in a deceased body after several hours. If the body was then moved or jostled, these gases and liquids could be released from the body.

When Cooper was lifted up out of his car seat in the parking lot, the gases and liquids may have left a putrid odor inside of the car and perhaps that's what LE officers at the scene smelled?

This is not a trial. I am not a lawyer but this will not be the same as a trial and the link I just provided shows what is presented and how the judge will review what is presented. This determines if the charges will be bound over.:twocents:

You're putting me to shame, lol. I SHOULD be cleaning, got out-of-town relatives coming for the holiday, but had to run out and do my shopping and other errands before the hearing. Guess I'll clean after the hearing. Anyway, time to walk my dog and have some lunch. Got HLN on the TV (on mute), looking for the live-stream link, should've bookmarked it before I left. Can somebody please post it again. TIA!!!

Yay! Yall found each other! Oh how I wish I was there

So I assume you are allowed to use laptop, text, etc. in the courtroom? Some don't allow it and apparently some do . So glad you're able to communicate with us "homebound" sleuths!

I wanted to clear up a couple of things.

1. Not all children fall asleep because of Benedryl. There are children that actually become hyper after taking it instead. I know this for fact as my 17 year old daughter has NEVER become tired, sleepy, etc from it.

2. Just because Mother is a nutritionist does NOT mean that she, her husband and Cooper always ate healthy foods only at home. How many times has anyone seen an overweight, unhealthy doctor or nurse? Someone that should know better, concerning their weight and health concerns, yet they don't do anything to help themselves. All the while they are at work telling their patients/clients on how to eat, be healthy, etc.
