After all the evidence about sexting etc today, and if he had been granted bail where the heck would he go??? Jeeze Loueeze it wouldn't have been very comfortable at home --- or facing the neighbors.

Or I guess a guy like him wouldn't care anyways....

I have no doubt he would go back to stay with Leanne. jmo

I agree. We recently had a case here where the defense attorney asked for the jury to be removed, and then asked the Judge if he could be removed from the case because his client was perjuring himself and he didn't want to risk his career over the case. There are some DA's that are slimeballs. There are some that will do what it takes to win the case. But I think most of them have a job to do, and that job sometimes SUCKS! This guy is just doing his job. So many recent cases here, I get SO upset with the DA and wonder how they can defend such vile criminals, but I try to remember, it's their job.... not one that I would EVER want... not for all the money or fame in the world.

Right, and under the ethics rules, attorneys cannot let someone lie to the court when they *know* it is a lie (obviously hard to prove) or they might be disbarred. So if your client confesses to you, you are not allowed to question him or her knowing they are going to claim innocence - same with a witness who tells you they will lie. You are supposed to convince the client of another strategy, and if all else fails, ask to be fired or file a motion to withdraw. If it's too far into the case and the client won't fire you, the court may force you to do it, and you are still risking your career. In that case, you are supposed to call the witness/defendant to the stand and then not ask any questions related to the matter of the lie. Then you dismiss the witness. At that point, the prosecutor might ask questions to which they lie in response, but the defense attorney at least didn't play a role. A lot of them definitely have boundaries, but you just hear about the ones who are willing to be the most ridiculous. Plus, attorneys switch from prosecution to defense practice regularly - for some people there's a moral stance and they would refuse to be one or the other, but for most, they're willing to make whatever argument can be reasonably made while feigning disdain for the other side. It's all a business, and I doubt most of them particularly enjoy having to defend silly stories for horrible defendants.

The wife.....sitting in the court room chewing gum. It was like watching Cindy Anthony. Ugh

I was in a courtroom for a courtcase, observer, the judge reprimanded me in front of everyone for chewing gum. :get that gum out of your mouth" I was so embarrassed. You would have thought, the not doing crap baliffs, would have warned me.poor judge must have needed attention. I've seen in Arias/ Anthony trial and others it must be allowed now.

He backed into a parking spot next to another car, no way he didn't look over his shoulder

People have lost respect. I would never appear in a court room sloppy dressed. Remember Arias' sister.

It would not be tolerated here! Not even in traffic court!

After watching the video related to death in hot cars and searching all the info and then leaving his son strapped tightly in his carseat to die that way....he is doing his business. Anyone else think if he had gotten away with this that he could have progressed into a sadistic serial killer? eta

I assume this has been addressed, but if he was researching animals dying in hot cars, I fear he may have tested his plan with animals first. Any neighborhood pets missing, I wonder?

Oh yeah...and he claimed to be an expert at that too!
Yet the car seat was too small.

and there was NO backup camera in his vehicle -- looking over his shoulder was his only option.....

What about him telling his dw that Cooper looked peaceful with his eyes and mouth closed? Grrrrrr the dect shot that lie down quickly!

I would love to have seen LH's face when the detective told the truth about Cooper! Was she still emotionless - smacking on her gum?
