I have been on this man like white on rice since day one because I felt he intentionally did this to his adorable little son. I was so relieved today when the Judge said this could wind up being a death penalty case.

Yet I had a different reaction to the sexting today than I thought I would have.

Instead of it convincing me he is guilty as the sin he committed it actually has puzzled me somewhat.

And the detective did make a point to say that Harris seemed well versed in the law and its terminology. We also know he looked at different sites pertaining to the criminal justice system.

So while I cant even stand to look at him.... I don't think he is a stupid man by any means. So why would he do all of the sexting and sending a photo of his erect penis on the very day that Cooper died?

He had to know that his computers, both home and work, and cell phone would be taken. Even one that doesn't even keep up with cases closely knows that just by watching normal tv shows.

If he had preplanned all of this out it seems like to me he would have made sure he was either busy doing HD work all day, texting someone and mentioning Cooper in a positive way or emailing someone at the church. That way it would appear like he was a good guy just going about his day at work.

So instead of it convincing me it was premeditated .....for the very first time ...that part just didn't add up with the preplanning. In fact it has left me very puzzled.

IMO

Narcissists (sociopaths are narcissists) are self-destructive. Ultimately, they act in accordance with their subconscious minds- their real selves. Do they get caught because they're stupid and/or arrogant or because subconsciously they see themselves as bad people and, ultimately, reveal themselves as such (take off the mask- the false self)?

Consciously, he's smart enough to have known that the things he did before, during and after the murder would get him convicted, but he did it anyways. His subconscious mind gave him away...at least that's how a wise old dear friend explained it to me years ago...

Other news - as you all probably know (hopefully) by now, the forum is being upgraded tomorrow morning so we will be off line for a bit. I think until 8:00 a.m.ish PDT (and alien time :)).

Once the update is completed, we will be setting up a forum for Cooper Harris. Start thinking now about the threads you would like to start with and let me or Nurse or Fran know.

Salem

:happy dance:!! How about a thread with anything that Ross and/or Leanna have said concerning this case? And then we can discuss their words? Just a thought.

I think I am going to have to avoid this case for awhile. Maybe permanently. I don't know. I love sweet Cooper. I want to see justice done here. But, this is the thing... I have a son. And, let me tell you, he is a gem. He is kind and good, responsible and hard-working. He looks a lot like RH. A LOT! He is a little chubby, has a baby-face (he is much younger than RH), and the same hair color and style. He is beautiful. He is soft-mannered and not at all a braggart. It pains me to look at RH. It pains me to see so many posters commenting on his weight and his unmanliness. I am not fussing. Just being honest. Just felt I wanted to share how I am feeling. RH's appearance and the possibility that he never "skipped a meal" probably have nothing to do with what has happened to Cooper. I know his appearance is a reflection of the real man that he is, or is not, but it's sad to me. I guess because he reminds me so much of my son.

I would like a thread for the charges and statutes related to the charges and how those laws will affect the trial and possible sentencing.

Just think what else LE is going to find before they finish their investigation.

I'm afraid they have found or will find child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 that Harris made/downloaded.:moo: I hope not. It would not surprise me if that couple has 🤬🤬🤬🤬 pics of themselves on the Read It forums. :moo:

From todays hearing we learned the following from Det Stoddard about Leanna Harris:

*When she arrived at the police station, she was asked if she wanted to see Cooper. She said no, she wanted to see Ross.

*When she was alone in the room with Ross, she asked him "did you tell them too much"

*While talking to her mother about Cooper dying, she didn't cry even though her mother was wailing. She told her mom she (Leanna) wasn't crying because she was probably in shock

*She went to pick up Cooper from day care. When she was told Ross never brought him, the first thing she said was "Ross left him in the car." She then called Ross but could not get in touch with him and then asked one of the day care employees to ride with her to the Home Depot office.

She won't file for the insurance imo because she will have to sit for depos then.

Please be assured this is meant kindly. I would rather have a cuddly teddy bear of a man or even gal pal friend than someone who is mean regardless of their size.

Teddy bears are wonderful and maybe we are all upset because someone appeared to be a teddy bear when in fact he was a mean grizzly.

your points are not lost on me

physical attributes are an easy target....

Today was like a kick to the forehead..right?

It was for me :( I was pretty much standing on the guilty side of the fence, but was open to a good argument. I was shocked today and my heart hurt for poor little Cooper. Hearing how RH stopped and waited to see if the guy was going to see anything in his car was just unbelievable and watching the witness/coworker when he said they stopped a reasonable distance from RH's car - I could just see his mind working and realizing that Cooper was in that car, dead, at that very moment :(

So sad. So sad. And anger provoking, to say the least.

Bringing this in from the last thread:

Cliffs on the hearing today:

Level 1 Slime:
Surveillance video shows RH backing into parking space when he arrived with son at work
no backup cam on vehicle, would have to use rear view mirror and would undoubtedly see child
Cooper was too big for carseat; mannequin was used to show child easily visible only 6 inches away from suspect

Very inexplicable that he could have "forgot" his son.

Level 2 Slime:
Harris LIED about Cooper probably falling asleep; daycare workers said he always arrived wide awake
Harris LIED about not returning to his vehicle that day; surveillance video shows him dropping light bulb boxes into his vehicle @ lunch
surveillance video shows him leaning into the car and turning his head (as if to investigate whether Cooper had died yet)
when Harris leaves the car to head back to work for the afternoon, surveillance video shows a passerby walking in direction of vehicle
Harris stops dead in his tracks to watch the passerby until they are no longer in the area of the vehicle

Shows intent to deceive and hide his deception.

Level 3 Slime:
When Harris pulled over later that day and exited the vehicle with his son's body he immediately said that Cooper was dead
not only did he immediately say Cooper was dead, but he made no attempt at CPR (another person had to)
spent 6 minutes on the phone while his son's dead body lay on the ground just a few feet away

But oh it gets worse ...

Level 4 Slime:
Harris had internet searches for "child free life" and participated in vile "child free" reddit sub-forum
Harris had internet searches for "how long does it take for a child to die in a hot car"

And much worse than that ...

Level 5 Slime:
Harris had watched (and apparently got off on) videos of people and animals suffering inside hot cars
Harris had watched (and apparently got off on) videos of people dying and being killed, including suicides and executions

And just when you think it can't get any worse ...

Level 6 Slime:
The whole time his kid is suffering baking to death in his car, Harris is sexting with 6 females
getting an erection and exchanging x-rated pictures with 6 different females while he is murdering his child

But that's not all ...

Level 7 Slime:
One of the girls is underage, and police hinted they will get him with child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and child solicitation charges
Girl asks him if he has a conscience and Harris replies "No"

We're really getting into the deeper levels of hell here ...

Level 8 Slime:
He feels absolutely nothing for his child; callously lies to his wife that Cooper's eyes and mouth were closed (when they were not, Cooper died a horrific death)
Shed no tears at any point except when he ranted about everything HE was going through
ranted at his wife about how HE could get in trouble, how HE could lose his job, never said anything about his son

And then the wife was in on it too ...

Level 9 Slime:
Wife shows up at Daycare and when Cooper isn't there she immediately says "Ross must have left Cooper in the car"
Daycare workers try to convince her that there could be another explanation but she insists "No. Ross must have left him in the car". As if it were a premeditated attempt to establish accident right from the beginning
Wife asks Harris about his interrogation "Why, did you say too much?
Wife only asked to see her husband and never asked about her son, never showed any emotion or concern for what had happened to her son

And then the motive ...

Level 10 Slime:
Couple took out $27,000 in life insurance policies on Cooper
they were in bad debt

So they locked their 1 year and 10 month old child in a hot car and fried him to death while he banged his head violently against the car seat and scratched part of his face off -- all so they could collect $27,000 or $13,500 / each (if they were going to divorce) rather than give the kid away and get nothing

-----------

Every time one level of slime was uncovered, infinite layers of more slime were uncovered beneath that one.

These two people are the worst kind of monsters. [modsnip]

I'm sorry. :( :( I made comments about him. It's really uncalled for, but I think for some posters, it's a way to displace the anger/emotions they feel toward him. It's not kind, and we should be more considerate.

Heaven knows... we are a bunch of beauty contest winners in pajamas behind keyboards with no right to point fingers at anyone. (Yes....I've been in Mickey Mouse pj's all day.)

the highlight for me today was how together the LEO was when he was asked if there was any reason why bail should not be granted

the first thing out of his mouth was the thing about potential jury tampering and

not being able to find accused if they needed to talk to him

RH's appearance has nothing to do with the person he is on the inside and really should not be a part of this discussion. So please alert the posts and the mods will look at them. I know today many things were said out of anger, understandable after all we heard, but still, appearance is not an allowed topic of discussion.

Didn't they say when he would delete things from one place they popped up on another device? Seems he had them linked. jmo

Yep, they did; just like a leaking boat.

On the last thread, someone speculated that he took the sexting photos near his car during lunch. I think that is possible. Where else could it be? Either the bathroom or near the car. It is sick but I think knowing what Cooper was going through gave him the erection. Maybe he was getting "excited" because he thought he would be living out his fantasy life soon enough.

I am guilty too. I see the ugliness inside of the man. I don't believe he has kind eyes either.
Trust me! I love me some big ole teddy bear men. My husband is 6'3" and 255#

I'm so sorry. I think the comments about his looks and weight are coming from a place of pain at what he did to sweet Cooper. It's not right, but sometimes it feels good to pick apart and insult a person who has done such terrible things and I think it feels good because there is such a sense of helplessness in these horrible cases.

If I took part in any name calling or unkind comments I sincerely apologize. I'm a little embarassed that I can't even remember if I did or didn't :blushing:

Thank you for bringing it to my attention :blowkiss:
