The latest article I read now says they think the body has been there at least 3 years rather than less than 3 years like the last article I read. It also said as long the rest of the bones remain buried in the mud, there’s little chance of finding out who the woman is so they are draining the pond and searching for more bones. This means that it must not be Theresa (unless the anthropologist is wrong and her body decomposed faster for some reason, which I don't think is a big possibility).....still praying for Theresa and her family. I hope this answers questions for some family.......

Anyway, that seems to be the story these days. LE is having no trouble keeping the lid on tight because there is really nothing trying to get out…

yeah, that sounds about right, unfortunately.

I am not so sure that they can't get DNA from a large bone as some marrow would be available, I think. I guess I am going to have to research. The clothing aspect has me confused as well. If 40% of the bones were discovered it is not likely all the clothes were around the remains. Maybe shoes were found on foot bones.

Yesterday G.B.I. employees assembled at an intersection of Georgia 320 and collected scattered bones and clothing near a creek.

........................................................................................................

I would think that the article would have said shoes if that is what they found. I hope there is clothing there and maybe it will match what one of our gals was wearing when they disappeared. When the person was left there her clothing could have just been thrown down beside her and is still in the same place. The person could have just been thrown there and then animals scattered her bones around. I hope this doesn't turn into another Jane Doe. Maybe they will find the skull and the teeth will be there.

They now say they think the woman found in the swamp died between 2005 and February of this year. They say it is tough because beavers "eat calcium" and sharpen their teeth on bones. They also said they checked records and all the missing persons cases around here have been solved except for 2 reported missing in 2005 (probably Tara Grinstead and Leslie Adams). Is it just me or do you guys think that they could be off by 2 months this early in their investigation of the remains and it could still be Theresa. It sounds too gory to think about but could it also be a possibility that she was dismembered when they left her, which to me could also speed up the process of scattering the bones. I just feel like it should at least be investigated that it could be Theresa to rule out the possibility. Two months isn't that far off from their estimation of February of this year..........

The article intimated but did not confirm that a skull and hands were found. If so, dentals should be fairly quickly.

Well, what was SP burning in his yard? Wouldn't that speed things up? But I guess there would be evidence of that.

What do I know? Nothing!

Clothing could have been what was burned. (Both the perps and the victims...) Ashes then moved and disposed of elsewhere...

From caption of picture on left side of page at link below:

Dr. Rick Snow, forensic anthropologist with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, examines a beaver’s nest near Akin Road in Franklin County. Officials closed the road to drain a swamp and search for a woman’s skeletal remains. Some of her bones and clothing were found Sunday.

I agree there could be variables that affected the process and it could still be Theresa. He could have burned the body partially before he put her there, which would destroy the skin and speed up the process of bone scatter. He could have dismembered the body, which would also speed it up. Actually, it said the clothes were found in another spot from a creek and who knows if they are even connected. The bones they have found could be what was left after he did whatever he did to her.

I say the possibility of Sam burning his own clothes in his yard that next day when he was seen burning is a big, big possibility whether this is Theresa found or not. That would get rid of a lot of evidence. Who knows? Seems like he covered all his tracks a little too well.

I'm just periodically lurking on this thread lately (hoping that Theresa's been found, but....)

I'm trying to recall the part about seeing a burn pile shortly after her disappearance. I was under the impression that the burn was a few days after her disappearance (and therefore, the search had already started???) and was in the general area and neighborhood, not on Sam's actual land. Does anyone know more specifically when the burn was, and where?

TIA!

I found this article on the internet and it mentioned the burning......from what this says he was burning the night she disappeared but before she would have been actually missing b/c it was before her sister last saw her......

Yes, I remember that and I've been harping on it. I think there were three fires set and they were trying to find out if someone had set them. They weren't on Sam's property but somewhere around there. To me that would have been the perfect place to put a body....maybe even a body that had been dismembered. If the fire is hot enough like a bon fire....Steven Avery burned Teresa Halback's bones...it will burn the bones to almost nothing. This wasn't long after Teresa disappeared if I remember right. I don't know if LE walked through those places where the fire burnt or not but they are foolish if they didn't. What better way to destroy a body bones and all.

Not long ago a man murdered a young woman. He set up three bar-ba-ques on his porch and proceeded to cook her body parts until there was nothing left! The neighbors noticed him just cooking away on his back porch for days and finally someone called LE. When they went to his house he still had some of the body parts laying on racks across his bathtub ready to cook. He had cut her into small pieces and was slowly getting rid of the evidence. Hard to believe but it is true. I don't understand how the neighbors couldn't smell burning flesh :banghead:

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to learn that Theresa ended up in a bon fire or three.

Okay...I know what you're talking about now; I thought you were asking about the fire Sam was seen burning in his front yard..........the other fires were in Ringold and were set after the search was already on for Theresa. I've wondered if that had something to do with it too.....if he had dumped her body there he could have gone back later and set the 3 wildfires that were in the same area and started at the same time

Last night I watched the local channel UTC.On Night Talk they were talking to a psychic named Sam Herbert from Berkeley California.I think that was her name. She had some interesting things about what she sees happened to Theresa Parker.I did not get to see all of it.But from what I did get to see,she says that 3 people were involved in the incident, that Theresa was the 5th person of 6 that the main peson had harmed but was not sure if all 3 people were involved in the others, that the 6th person was a woman killed in a supposed car wreck in Centre Alabama.Several people called and the were talking about Moccasin Bend and Shellmound(or mountain?)Someone called and asked if explosives had been involved with any of it and she no but that they may be in the future and that the person will kill more people.UTC does not have any links to what they talk about at night but I wanted to let all of you know some of what is going on.The psychic also said that a red vehicle with red and white tags is involved.Someone called in and said that the 911 or emergancy management drive red SUV's with red and white tags. She also said everything she has done so far has been for free but that she could not afford to come here for free. She said it would probably take $3000 for her to come here for a week.Whatever else she said I missed because did not turn over there in time.

I just don't put much credit into psychics...okay to be honest really no credit for psychics from me........this woman has probably just been reading the local blogs, which mentioned the car wreck, which actually happened in Rome (Lisa lived in Centre but wrecked in Floyd County). There were people on there saying he could have caused that somehow, which I just don't believe....if he did the only way to do it would have been to have drugged her b/c she fell asleep driving.....never tried to avoid the accident w/ brakes, turning, anything and the man she hit said she was slumped over before she hit him. Anyway, I guess some people believe in these people but I just think they are rip offs, out for money.

Where you sit this very minute, there are thousands and thousands of radio frequencies “landing” in your lap. Commercial radio stations, television stations, cell phone conversations, government communications galore… private communication systems etc. You are not aware of those radio frequencies all around you because you don’t have a tuner or reciever that can “hear” them.

But, if you did have the proper equipment you would be able to capture those frequencies, separate them, amplify them and convert them, one by one into sound waves coming from a speaker. As the sound waves reached your ears, they would travel down the earcanal and vibrate your eardrums. The vibrating ear drums would carry the message to your brain and finally be converted into a thought or idea, giving you new information to be processed for whatever…

It is my belief, based on personal experience, that all data processed by our brains is also transmitted into “space” as it were. If, for example, another brain out there happens to be receiving on the same frequency I am transmitting, and if that receiving brain happens to processes that frequency into the same thought pattern that I had upon transmitting it, that other brain can know what I know without having to actually “see” or “hear” it.

We all tune into the information we need to survive. There is no reason for each of us to hear and see it all. Some people are better recievers than others. Some people are better transmitters than others. Some people can purposely tune into information at will. It sounds far fetched perhaps, but just as some people can sit and play concert piano at 4 yrs of age without the first lesson, some people can tune into thoughts and past events with perfect clarity. It is a rare talent, yes. But I know there are people who have such a gift, as it were, and I try to accept the exceptional as reality as oppossed to simply dismissing it as hoax.

As I read the babydust post a few minutes ago, a chill ran from my toes all the way up my torso and into my scalp. Images were racing through my mind and fragmented thoughts were slamming together and bouncing about like a hundred magnets dumped onto the table. My eyes which have not felt a tear in months were suddenly flooded and over flowing. That particular fragmented recollection of information forced a wave of something to build and crash within me… Oddly however, the wave was haromonious... Like a major chord played in 3 octaves on a fine piano in an acoustically perfect hall. I have heard the various notes from day one.
A chord was unified just now and it was very strange indeed.

I don’t know what else to say. I am not trying to sell anyone anything or persuade anyones opinion one way or the other…. I just have a creepy feel about this whole thing.

I don't mind listening to what they have to say but I would never pay a psychic. If they believe they have been given a gift then the gift should be given away. That woman wouldn't have to come to Theresa's town. She could use pictures of Theresa or something that she had worn and hadn't been washed yet or a piece of jewlery. They use all sorts of things. I know that people get desperate when a loved one is missing and will try almost anything. I can't say that I blame them at all. You just have to be careful and not place your hope on what they say.

I doubt that there are that many people involved in Theresa's death. I think Sam may have taken the one guy into his confidence because I don't buy the story that LE are telling about why the guy ended up in jail. I think LE thought they could get the guy to talk if they threw him into jail but he didn't.
What the psychic had to say is pretty far fetched especially for a small town.
Who knows though. Anything is possible.

Check those places where the three fires were set LE. You just might find bone shards that belong to Theresa.

That's how I feel Bobbisangel - I don't put much faith in them but of course if I was in the situation of a missing loved lone I would listen to their ideas and check them out but I would never pay for it. Most of the time they are either too vague or are wrong; usually it's information they could have gotten elsewhere or speculation that has already been said by some. That psychic said she helped on the Tara Grinstead case but Tara is still missing????

I don't feel there could be that many involved either. I could be wrong but I don't even think Ben was involved in murder or probably not even the disposal of the body; I feel like the other officer probably just lied to help Sam out about his alibi or something like that. I could definitely be wrong but that is my gut feeling.

I would not pay a psychic to work for me and I would not pay a musician to play a concert for me, unless… they had a proven track record. And, that would go for any service I may hire another person to perform. If a person wishes to profit from their talent, that talent must be of value to someone wishing to pay for it. I have no problem there. Past performance and reasonable expectation of future performance are factors effecting price in the marketplace.

I am trying to do a better job of keeping my written thought simple and to the point so please don’t hesitate to critique me when I don’t. In my previous post, I was trying to say that I believe some people do have psychic abilities. Any profession, psychics not withstanding, will have those that are fair, good, or excellent at what they do. There will also be imposters and crooks... Do your homework and get references before paying for any product or service. So,I don’t think it would be a sin for a person with psychic talents to charge for the information they gather. It is physically taxing on the individuals that do this type of work and a lot of time is often involved.

As far as the fires in Ringgold--- Too many uncontrollable variables if you ask me. A guaranteed plan to dispose of a body would not involve a weather forecast, hundreds of fire fighters, exposure risks associated with actually setting the fires or hoping that a certain spot in the brush fire would reach high enough temperatures to do the job. Besides, Ringgold is 25 miles up the road and Catoosa County people notice when Walker County people are stomping around on their turf.

Walker and Chattooga Counties too small for corruption or cover up? Give me a break. I have learned to never underestimate what a man might do to protect his personal interest.
