GA - Twin brothers miss flight to Boston, found dead 24 hours later in Georgia mountains, 14 Mar 2025

He saw dollar signs. Exploiting a terrible situation of two young men. He shared them to the public somewhere or to some people. He knew better or has NO sense of character or integrity in coming upon such a terrible scene to take pix, on his phone I assume. Stay there, do what you do, then let LE do their thing. Though I will say I have little confidence of that there so far.

My mind went to a darker place than just selling the photos.

In 2021 they installed 3 cameras powered by solar. Unfortunately I don’t know where these are located.

I just looked into it some more and one camera is monitoring the entrance gate and the other 2 are somewhere between the first and the top of the mountain. They also have a live feed to LE. Originally they were installed to help with all the spray painting done there illegally.
But maybe the gate camera would have gotten something since people are known to park at the bottom and walk through the site.

Was there anything interesting supposed to happen that night in the sky? Meteor showers or a comet? Trying to think of a reason they would go there in the dark. You can't see much of a view in the dark.

Unless I missed it, the fact the GBI, or anyone else for that matter, has yet to make a definitive determination as to the cause/manner of death....that alone is enough for me to go hmmmmmm.

And why, if they were both shot in the head, why the big secret as to the firearm used? These two young men were old enough to purchase/own a firearm. Where'd the gun come from? Who bought it?

Why no reports that YES INDEED....the fingerprints of the shooter were on the gun, etc. etc.

And then there's that booked flight....uh, what's up with that? Book a flight to detract from our planned suicide?

I'm stayin' open on this case, but I have some crazy suspicions.

Not sure how the lunar eclipse on Friday, March 14 applies here. The brothers were last seen alive on March 7, and their bodies found on March 8.

How many bullets were fired?
Did each young man handle it or did only only one handle it?
If both sets of prints handled the weapon, how did that work?
Were there fingerprints of either one found on the weapon?

No they only said each one had a gun wound

I believe the only thing reported thus far is the brothers died of gunshot wounds to the head, and GBI's preliminary ruling was a murder suicide. I suspect if the Coroner rules the deaths by a suicide pact and/or a murder suicide, the public will hear little except for information that is released by the family. Authorities do not typically report details on deaths by suicide. JMO

One thing that is surprising. Someone in this thread shared above that they were shot in the heads.

Looking at these young men’s photos. They were handsome and knew this. Doubly stunning as twins. They clearly had a sense of fashion and could have been great at modeling.

But such men would seem to care how they’d look in death.

Honestly, shots in heads would be surprising. Specifically given how well they seemed to care about themselves. JMO.

Now, I would like to know what they did for a living. If they were already sewing things to sell, if someone local owed them money.

I didn’t know what sundown towns were. Had to turn to Wikipedia. Honestly, three counties in GA are marked as “seriously” sundown, and I believe the locals should know about it.

I would be surprised if it were their plan, to go to the Bell mountain to start with. I am thinking, they were young and could have been taken advantage of.

Could they have been lured to that area? Probably. Anywhere else but driven here? Yes.

While sundown town looks ominous I would start from the people they trusted. Their cellphones. The cellphones can’t disappear in a murder/suicide, right?

Phones can disappear in a suicide if disposed/tossed ahead of the deed. I'm recalling a similar case in another 'sundown town' where a grad student drove 30 miles from ISU, parked his vehicle in the woods near the YMCA, and the victim's body recovered from a nearby canal. His death also ruled a suicide and the family disputed this ruling for similar reasons cited here.

So the step mom last saw them Friday at 11 PM, and didn’t know about the trip/flight to Boston, but the rest of the family did? Confusing.

The group who has been speaking out hasn’t mentioned any real details, but maybe they were advised not too. But that puts a different spin on things, when you know others in the family saw them, but not the circumstances.

because the crime scene isn't secured by law enforcement and they cannot verify what was done at the time these photo's were taken or vouch for the photographer or his right to take them.maybe something about unverified facts and photos of an unsecured crime scene and unknown possible actions that cannot be recorded and attested to, walking through a crime scene, contamination and exploitation of a crime. mOO

Taking photos wasn't the problem. It was sharing the photos with the public, and violating department protocol per Towns County Commissioner Cliff Bradshaw. Also, it's not been disclosed how the FF shared the photos.

This article from a news source local to where they were found says they were going to Boston to visit family:

The brothers were scheduled to fly out to Boston to see family on Friday, March 7, though they were found dead at the top of Bell Mountain on Saturday, March 8, according to GBI.
