Wow. He does not look chagrined. He looks "PO'd."
Wow. He does not look chagrined. He looks "PO'd."
when you respond to a call as emergency services you are not supposed to share details- bad for the injured/deceased, demeans pubic serviceCan someone explain how taking pictures of a crime is an obstruction of justice? Not condoning it, just don't follow the logic.
possible he shared with one person close to him and said "do not share this" and that did not work (speculating)Wow. He does not look chagrined. He looks "PO'd."
I haven't seen an article stating where exactly they were found. However, the trails on Bell Mountain are all rated hard, so they aren't heavily traveled by random sightseers. But they were found on/near a trail - they didn't try to hide themselves from hikers.
Apologies? I hope he’s outright ostracized…Kerling was part of the emergency response team at the location on the top of Bell Mountain on March 8, according to local CBS affiliate WANF.
WXIA confirmed with the Towns County Jail that Kerlin bonded out. He was charged with misdemeanor obstruction. The charge is not related to the investigation into the death of the Lewis twins.

Firefighter shared crime scene photos of 'inseparable' twins found dead on mountain peak: GBI
A Georgia firefighter is out of a job after he allegedly shared crime scene photos connected to the case of twins who were found shot dead.lawandcrime.com
We know from other reports that Town County terminated Kerling from his volunteer position for violating protocol. Kerling personally took the photo while on location during a call-out and no doubt has some apologies to make...
It’s my understanding there are two parking areas. One at the very top, where the stairs and outlook area is. The other is lower and you walk to the top. I think the access gate which opens at eight and closes at dusk, only limits the top access?I haven't seen an article stating where exactly they were found. What is important to remember is we don't know the exact thoughts that happen when someone is suicidal. I look at it as a psychotic break, and at that point, we have to stop saying well, this person would never do this. The rationale is gone. The person is no longer behaving as they typically would.
I could 100% be wrong, but I still believe the preliminary COD is correct. If it is not correct, I will be interested to read the details on findings that led them to change their minds.
attached one too many; commenting on last part of rleigh123's post."Last time they were actually seen? Stepmom originally said Saturday at 3 a.m. Investigator said 3 a.m. as well, then investigator changed it to Friday 11 p.m; he stated that he converted the time wrong."
IMO
If he did, that could really mess up a kid. That is a worthless parent. M00
I think it’s kind of wierd for two 19 year olds to both leave their phone in the car. In a time where people can’t even go to the bathroom without it.

Remember GBI said M/S. That indicates one of the twins killed the other, then himself.

Police usually write reports in military time 0300 and 2300. They were visiting their sister's home watching movies prior to returning home. Their flights were quoted from other sources (here/newspaper) as 0700. It makes more sense they left sister's home at 2300 (1100 PM) went home for some sleep, up by ?? 0500 to get to the airport for 0700 flight.
They were at the sister's house watching movies on Friday night. The flight wasn't until the next morning. Saturday at 7 a.m.Ah, that might explain what is meant by investigator "converting" the time. But that still doesn't explain why they were seen Friday at 11pm, hours after their flight but the rest of the family says they thought the twins made their flight. And we're still not clear on who saw them, although it could be stepmom. She said they were seen then --- but not by who.
Is the implication that whoever saw them at 11pm on Friday is not considered by the family to be a reliable witness?
IMO
Can you link a report to that? Everything I saw said flight was on Friday at 7am.They were at the sister's house watching movies on Friday night. The flight wasn't until the next morning. Saturday at 7 a.m.
Correct, two parking lots. The top lot is steeper than some people are comfortable driving to, and very narrow, so they can park in the lower lot and walk up. The top lot is gated from sunset to daybreak. It

I am sad for this family. They keep saying the twins would not “do this” as they come from a family of love. Mental health is a mystery. A person can be completely loved and cared for their entire life and still commit suicide or struggle. It is often hard for a family to accept, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
I hope some day people learn that mental health is not something to be ashamed of. We need to understand it better and study when someone who is seemingly successful and happy does this.
I still don’t know if the original COD will stand, but just saying that if it does…
