GA - Twin brothers miss flight to Boston, found dead 24 hours later in Georgia mountains, 14 Mar 2025

No. It has been mentioned many times. I have never seen any reference to a flight at 7 a.m. on Friday. Y
It's in the original news report about this case in the first post of this thread:

According to that news report, the twins were scheduled for a flight at 7 am Friday. Their bodies were found early Saturday morning.

Thank you for correcting me.

Man Arrested in Twins’ Mysterious Mountain Death Investigation:

That's just to do with the fireman taking pictures.

Thanks for clarifying that posted link. No one has been arrested in relationship to Qaadir and Naazir’s deaths. This is the arrest of fireman who took photos and distributed them publicly.

This case is highly suspect to me. I can't imagine what family is going through.

I have a question. If I understand correctly, the car was at one of the parking lots, both cellphones in the car and their bodies, up on the mountain? Or close to it?

If so, it feels more like a suicide pact or a third person’s doing that a pure case of murder/suicide. If one of the twins is unaware of what’s going to happen, he’d probably take the phone with him for photos, right?

If you were an EMT and you are at a scene and people start talking about suicide. You clearly see that its not. What would you do?
With suicide the position of everything means a lot. What is in that EMT's photo? Why did he take the photos?
GSR (Gun Shot Residue) being on the hand.
Location of the gun at rest.

The family needs to start asking gating questions like the phone pings. When did the twins arrive at the parking lot. Check all carriers for other phones pinging in the area at that time.
Who was the owner of the gun.

Was the gun located at the scene?
Have authorities determined who owned the gun or where it came from?
What forensics are the GBI waiting for? because gunshot residue test results are pretty immediate IMO

I await the answers to those questions before I can feel comfortable with a murder suicide determination.

I completely get why the family is questioning that initial assessment.

I wouldn't make any guesses about religious affiliation due to having Arabic names. Famous example: The singer Aaliyah was Catholic, went to Catholic school, funeral held in a Catholic church. Omar is an Arabic name that's popular in many Spanish-speaking countries.
Omar became popular world-wide after Omar Sharif and maybe later, was repopularized by a song. JMO.

The twins had Islamic first and middle names but of course, it may not indicate anything about their personal views. Just thinking that it would be more difficult to do it with a festivity in the family.

As always wishing the family to get their answers.

Likely waiting for tox screens, it might be a while for those results to come back to finalize the investigation.

My bold.
I certainly could be mistaken, but I still don't see these young men in a fratricide/suicide situation.
I would assume that the young men were excited about graduating from H.S.; they were probably excited about their trip; they were young & attractive; and it seems like things at home were good from what we heard from their mom.
Hoping LE can find out what happened...
What a loss.

They both look proud and happy about their graduations. IMO, I don't think this was any type of suicide pact. JMO.
They were headed to Boston -- I would think they were exited about the trip. SMH.

Their new lives, STS, have just started. How many of us were proud of ourselves due to our first big step in growing up and feeling more adult? Who knows what good things these young men might have done to make things better in their town and possibly for the world?
Their parents, probably grandparents, cousins, and friends, etc., were certainly proud and happy for that day for those young men. The world was out there for them.
It takes my breath away.
Hoping that LE and whoever else can solve this sad, sad event.
Many people with mental health issues, especially if they've been suffering for a long time, do not appear to be distressed. As a matter of fact, a sign that someone is planning to commit suicide is that they become even more cheerful. Going off of what a person seems to be like is very often unreliable, in all cases, but especially those involving mental illness.

My thought is that maybe one or both of these young men had a secret, which is sometimes true in self-harm cases. (Something like -- has a large amount of secret debt, or didn't actually graduate, or was scammed/blackmailed... something. Something that will make it make more sense.) Just my theory.

LE really should not rush to judge what happened, though.

Sincere condolences to their family and friends. This is such a tragedy.

Something I’m wondering: do we have verification on where they were sleeping that night? Was it in their family home or at their own apartment?

Their flight takes off at 7. In that case, they’d have to leave around 4/5 unless they live super close to the airport.

Gates at Bell mountain open at 8. We don’t know their address, and therefore their route, but if the mountain is 90 miles away that’s about a 1.5 hour drive at 60mph, 2 hours at the most?

So, theory 1. They leave around 4/5, either go to the airport or they don’t, and arrive at bell mountain at 8?

Or theory 2. They didn’t plan to go to the airport at all, yet they still bring their boarding pass etc. They leave at around 6.30 to get to Bell mountain at 8? If they’re with family, would their mother or father check to see that they left on time for their flight?

Or theory 3. They leave early morning hours for a drive, to hang out, or whatever. They don’t know what time the mountain opens, so either get there randomly by chance, or wait outside until the gates open, then enter.

There MUST be CCTV to narrow these down. Did they ever get to the airport? Did they want to? What time did they leave their home?

There are two parking lots at Bell Mountain, only the upper lot is gated with limited access.

No one has said where their car was specifically found parked. So at this point, you can’t reliably use the limited access times of 8AM to dusk in a theoretical timeline. It might be an inconsequential detail.

I hope the GBI is checking in with the family and giving them updates, even if just to say they are still waiting for results.

I agree -- I just don't see suicide... Certainly it's possible, but I'll wait to see more info -- if there is any.
My condolences to their parents and to all those who loved those young men.

I really don’t understand why any toxicology reports would matter in this situation since the autopsy said both were shot in the head.
