Does it matter whether MS has money or not? Why?

Because there is so much interest in DM's money, I think it only fair we have some discussion about MS's, whether it's a million or one hundred dollars. Why should there be a discrimination between the two?

For all we know there may be a few stacks of bills hidden away for a later date, just because some people have inherited money doesn't mean that they are the only ones with accessible cash. JMO

Well living at home with momma didn't stop MR from getting Legal Aid in the TS case. Well, for the trial at least. They wouldn't fund MR's appeal.

If DM attempts to hold on to an inheritance that is not legally his, he is defrauding the rightful heir (who is not MB).

I would be surprised if WM's will did not stipulate where the inheritance was to go if something happened to DM. Without seeing the will, no one knows who the "rightful heir" is.

Anyway, it's quite possible DM and MB will keep all the cash from everything he rightfully owned outright (i.e., not his inheritance) and you, the Ontario taxpayer, will remunerate his victims, just as happened in the RP civil case. IMO.

The only way the taxpayer will pay is if they sue the police or the city and actually win.

MS could be indigent...he might not be...does it matter one way or the other? No one has any proof of MS's situation, so maybe we had just let that be, or agree to talk about it hypothetically.

Yes it matters, if it matters what the other accused is worth IMO. Someones guilt is hypothetical too prior to trial, but that doesn't appear to stop bloggers and others posting as if its a definite guilty outcome. I think if we are going to discuss and dissect one accused persons financial circumstance, it is only fair we do the same to the other. We could always just not discuss either and wait until we have an outcome, but I am of the understanding that this is a place for discussion without discrimination. I am quite happy not to dissect either of the accused finances. I have never thought it was necessary for either, but I felt the need to contribute to the ongoing debate and give my opinion along with the rest of the opinions. JMO MOO

DM could have appointed someone to take care of business. That's always an option when you have money.

The owner of the company could always be there for meetings when necessary and allow the appointed one to do the work. IMO

So DM could be CEO and he could hire someone to be, uh...Acting CEO?

Why not take the title of Owner or President if DM never intended to take on the duties of CEO?

One episode of a red mohawk for a Baja adventure is hardly following audacious fashions IMO. Any pics I have seen aside from the Baja days have shown DM in normal attire and with normal hairstyles.

Yes I did see that. I didn't see a date stamp on the pic though. It appears to be the exact same mohawk as in the Baja trip so I believe it is dated around same time (around the Baja days). I think it would make sense to wait until the dye washes or grows out. The only other option would have been to shave his head and I have a feeling he may have been scrutinized for that. JMO

Yeah, I think DM was a regular blue collar kind of guy, and it is family that has tried to make an image of him as some kind of high-bred sophisticated individual, since his arrest.

But I think he eats regular ground beef because he's just a regular kind of guy.

And he was in the habit of relaxing a lot

That picture was posted mid-April 2011, just over a month before they would have had to leave for the Baja 500. Judging by the comments on it, it was current when posted.

Me too. It was actually two, maybe three, TV's that was said. So maybe only two TV's. Does anyone have less than two TV's anymore? Maybe not everyone has 2 Xboxes, but most probably have both an Xbox and a Playstation.

I think most people have said he is a regular down to earth type of a guy. Even reporter Molly Hayes said as much. I like relaxing as much as I can too, don't we all? I don't see anything out of the ordinary that would indicate anything sinister about DM IMHO.

Why is this of interest to the case if you don't mind me asking?

I wonder how much cash is stashed away somewhere belonging to MS and/or MWJ, but I don't suppose we can get an audit on that. Maybe MWJ/MS has a stash of guns. Guns can be quite valuable, I hear they sell for a good price. I wonder if they could be considered assets?
