Well I think I agree with you here, seems to be a bad dude.
Do you know his age, height weight?

He is supposed to be a big guy, yes?
I have no idea but he looks like a huge guy in pics...all puffed up with a small erm..you know what :p

I have read that RS was shot in the head near the right ear, in the right elbow which broke her arm and the right hip. I never read any reports from the bail hearing of a bullet injury to her hand.

You are right, just went to check:

8.26am GMT
There were three entrance wounds on Steenkamp's body: one on the right side of her head above her ear, one in her right arm, which broke her arm, and one at her hip.

"Pistorius, Batchelor in girl squabble
22 Nov 2012

JOHANNESBURG — Olympian and double amputee Oscar Pistorius has not opened a case of intimidation or defamation, the Hawks said yesterday.

“Pistorius hasn’t opened a case with us [the Hawks],” spokesperson Captain Paul Ramaloko said. “I can confirm that he has had some challenges and that he came to the Johannesburg organised crime unit on Wednesday [yesterday] and we managed to resolve the situation.”

Ramaloko was responding to media reports yesterday that a case of defamation was opened against Pistorius after he opened a case of intimidation against former soccer player Marc Batchelor.

Pistorius reportedly threatened to break Batchelor’s legs, and Batchelor made threats in return. All this after Pistorius found out his girlfriend had been allegedly cheating on him. Both parties laid charges. Batchelor denied making threats while Pistorius did not com*ment, the Star reported. — Sapa."

The Hawks sounds like a sport team, but I take it it is the police??

Yep, the Hawks are a specialist elite group. Maybe like your SWAT teams??

Whoa! Nasty. :)

And you just can't tell that kind of thing till the time comes.

He can't be so tough if a probably much smaller Palestinian guy had a pair of scissors and he ran like crazy.

But the whole MB thing is because OP went to Quinton van den Bergh and threatened him because he was seeing OP's former GF, and I guess MB intervened against OP and told him to back off. OP would not be frightened off.

But now I showed he went to the police. This could be because he was first threatened or because it is better to be the first to file a complaint even if you started it...

Thank you for this information. I read a little about Ms. Taylor up to this and feel that it would be an honor to meet such an impressive young woman.

Ms. Taylor should stand firm.

I don't know why OP is in such a hurry to settle with her now though, it's a civil suit unrelated to his current problem and she will be forced to (be happy to) testify in the criminal matter anyway. He's been having so much fun these past few years making her life harder and costing her money to defend his frivolous law suit, why stop now?

Anyway she, like Botha, both stand to make a lot of money on book, movie, and interview deals. Which is why there is probably more than just legals fees in contention. OP likely wants a Confidentiality Agreement to keep his "Dark Side" from the public view, but Ms. Taylor has other plans. :furious: IMO

Excellent post, Shane. I have been wondering what your profession is. It appears that you are in the medical field or maybe you are a homeopath or naturopath. His mother's allergic reaction adds to your prediction about possible alcohol/caffeine addiction. When one craves these things, it is often allergy-based. Also, if he did not eat well, there might not have been much food in his system to absorb the alcohol.

Also, many people have reported that OP has anger issues which when sober, he might be able to control. But when he starts drinking, the rage comes up and he cannot control it.

Among alcoholics one of the many irritating personality traits is anger. Dealing with an angry drunk is challenging. Coping with this disorder when they’ve been drinking is difficult. Even sober, the negative emotion seems to be dominating in the character of a regular alcohol drinker. Not all alcoholics are candidates for having the disorder actively working in their life. But it is a common thread among the disease of alcoholism though.

So was OP also a "rageaholic", or "anger addict" as well as a heavy drinker with an allergy to it? That is a person who gets excited by expressing rage, or a person prone to extreme anger with little or no provocation. While "rageaholic" is not a formal medical diagnosis, it has been developed as a lay psychology term by counselors and anger-management groups seeking to help people who are chronically angry and who compulsively express fits of rage.

Thanks. But I'd rather not get into myself. Nor can some people be easily pigeonholed. I am/have been knowledgable/educated/educator in several very different fileds of endeavor.

And I think several things I wrote in that post may not have been understood. I did not name the alleged underlying factor RE Pistorius and his mother. Some things can lead to what some call allergic reactions but the originating problem may be something else.

And this type of thing is a physical/chemical problem and it may be difficult to see it/describe it with language from another field. And that may be inappropriate, and limiting to do so. Trying to apply the language of one field to a different field is problematic at best. That's why there is a different language, field, scale, etc.

And someone with such a chemical imbalance will be a problem even if s/he lived alone indefinitely. But when interacting with others, he probably was a ticking time bomb.

If not then (say he married her)...he would have done that to her some other time(--due IMO to the deep underlying medical problems.)

And if not her... then to someone else sooner or later.

And if he had no guns...then a knife, bat, door, etc.

And maybe most of us would too, if we had his chemical imbalance. There but for the grace...

JMOOC.

I will post about the "Reeva had to have gone to the bathroom, that is why she was there", and "her empty bladder" canard, if you all like. IDK if it has been wrapped up here or not. Let me know.

More than likely, to be honest, I've never heard TIA before. And I haven't watched Blood Diamonds either.

Any good movies on/in/about SA that you do recommend?

(I guess I am pretty ignorant on SA except for movies/docs on Biko, Mandela etc., and some others.)

Ok. OP's team claims that Reeva went to the bathroom while he was on the patio bringing the fan inside and he did not see her get out of bed and walk to the toilet closet. Then he heard the "noise," and etc... As proof of that they point to the autopsy finding of her bladder being completely empty, so they say she definitely had to be sitting on the toilet, finishing, when OP opened fire, hitting her with three bullets in the toilet stall.

I posted early about how it is impossible that Reeva died in the toilet closet, she died downstairs after bleeding for approximately 30 minutes, she was alive for a long time. I point this out because some have become confused with all of the conversation and think that she died after being shot, in the toilet closet. She didn't, even OP admits that she died downstairs "in his arms."

In autopsy the volume of urine in the bladder is always measured. Even if only a small amount is there it will be collected and measured, with great accuracy. The procedure involves introducing a known amount of saline or water in to the bladder and then evacuating the contents and taking the measurement.

In 20% of all deaths the bladder voids in the last 2-3 minutes of life, leaving the bladder completely empty. In the remaining 80% of all deaths there is a volume of urine in the bladder. The body continuously produces urine, approximately 1 ml per minute.

At death the body shuts down all functions, no more urine production. But Reeva was alive for 30 minutes after being shot three times in the toilet closet! So whether she went to the bathroom to pee or not there should have been at least 30 ml of urine in her bladder. But since it was completely empty, she had to have voided her bladder in the last 2-3 minutes of her life, downstairs.

So why she was in the bathroom is still open to what I believe, she fled there and was hiding. IMO

Not about the Pistorius case although it is mentioned in this article ...

South Africa is an angry nation on the brink, warns Nelson Mandela's wife

I post it only because the Pistorius case has been a learning event for me. It has given me the opportunity to consider SA like I never had before.

Mods, if you feel this is too off-topic, please remove.

It is just Politicians doing what Politicians do... Never letting a crisis (international headline) go to waste. They all operate the same regardless of the country.

I'm getting too cynical too soon for my years.
