I am very curious about something. For those of you that believe that Ronald Cummings shot his child in some kind of altercation....I am very interested in reading a theory on this. Where did it happen? How did Haleigh get in between her Daddy and bullet? What about blood evidence? When did it happen?
Because I have thoughtfully examined this theory over the last year and there are too many unanswered questions for it to be possible in my opinion. Anyone care to share?
I think that LE has known shortly after she was reported missing that she was dead. They just don't know exactly how or where her body was placed. By keeping it a "missing" person" case, they were able to try to gather information without the players knowing that they NEVER believed the story.
I was searching google news archives today to find out when Ron and Crystal had been asked to give DNA. The DNA from the parents always bothered me because DNA is only needed to identify remains, not a live child her age. I had never heard that EVERYONE who had been in that MH had been asked for DNA.

Twenty-three days after the disappearance of Haleigh, Putnam County authorities assured the child's family the case is not cold.
"It's not a dead case or a cold case. There are all kinds of leads still coming in, and there's all kinds of information to follow up on. It will not be a cold case as long as there's investigative evidence to be followed," said Capt. Dick Schauland of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
He said the case has generated more than 2,300 tips.
"The piece of info that's going to come and lead us to her we haven't found it. That's all there is to it," Schauland said.
He said no one is considered a suspect or a person of interest in the case because "We don't know what the crime is. All we know is that Haleigh is missing. Let me assure you that no one is out of the mix."
On Wednesday,
anyone who had been inside the Cummings' home was asked to give a DNA sample. Police called it a routine part of their investigation...Investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI have followed thousands of leads, but the family told Channel 4 that authorities said they are no closer to finding Haleigh than they were on Feb. 10 -- the morning she was reported missing and an Amber Alert was issued.
"
The piece of information that's going to lead us to her, we haven't found it," Schauland said on Wednesday.....
While the sheriff's office released the mobile home where Haleigh disappeared back to the family earlier this week, most members of the family can't bring themselves to go inside. The missing girl's grandfather, Lester Cummings, said he went inside to get some clothes for his son, Ronald, but
everybody else breaks down before they get to the porch.

I have NEVER heard of LE asking for DNA for everyone who had been in the house. Fingerprints yes but not DNA. DNA tells me that they did find some evidence that led them to believe Haleigh was dead. Under the guise of misisng child, LE was able to get people to volunteer their DNA. That was actually really smart.
I find it interesting that LE says the "piece of information that is going to lead us to her." Not to the person who has her or took her but to her. IMO, the way that is worded it sounds like they thought they knew what happened but needed her body to find out how she died.
Finally, the family broke down before they got to the porch. They could not even step into the house without losing it. There is only one reason I can see that the house would be so terrifying that they could not even get to the porch. They knew Haleigh died in there.
IMO, LE has been working this case from almost the beginning as murder. They only changed it publically to a homicide because they questions they had to ask now was going to tip their hand.
