Probably because when Ron had his weekends with the kids, they really were not with him, probably with some other relative, but it was important at that time to make Ron look like a good dad who was taking care of his kids that manic weekend when he was upset about Misty.

This seemed like another attempt of too much info to say nothing or maybe even more so, putting out words that dispute what many of us saw with his actions, and that was just on TV when you'd think he'd try to look good.

Isn't everyone suspicious of the fact that ron and misty were indeed "apart" for at least three days...I say more like two weeks.

The reality they are showing us is that Misty returned to the love nest; Haleigh vanishes and ron loves misty even more. Now, this particular scenario worries the heck out of me. RC was hugging her on camera; defending her on camera; giving her his mother's diamond ring and utlimately marrying her all within a month. Something is very wrong here, very wrong.

Any normal person would be questioning this behavior. Why did rc become an understanding, compassionate man concerning misty when she was the last one to see his child alive. Knowing rc's personality, does this really make any sense?

BBM -- good point -- I'd believe a pink elephant ran down the street quicker.

For some, it may have pushed suspicious issues into the background -- for me it put up some big red flags and I need a new supply.

OT Going in for breast cancer surgery Monday, but hope to be back later next week ready to discuss this case more. Doctor is putting me on a time-out from some of my usual activities.

I wish you all the best and will pray for a speedy recovery.

Can anyone tell me why PCSO has a strong hold on the people in Putnam County. My Goodness, they do exactly what LE tells them to. That wouldn't work in most parts of the county. LE appears to have everyone quiet..or is it LE? I assume it is. Why and How?

Is this a subculture of ours? No one talks on camera. They don't answer calls for interviews.
I called a media source once and they told me flat out they support LE and if LE says it they believe it and they do what they say. This sort of thinking is foreign to me.

They got the media out and they got the investigators out too....WTH? In my mind, the biggest problem in solving this case is the fear of the public to come forth. In this entire case, the only one who seemed to have guts was Charlie Jones...I commend him.

I know AH tried but the LE contolled what he could say. Cobra tried but LE finally made him leave. How does the PCSO have so much power or is it something else?

So sorry you are going through BC surgery.
I have been there, if you need to talk.
I will keep you in my prayers.

We also do not see anyone from PDM coming forward on any level, except anonymous. Same as the people the tattoo shop where Ron was BRAGGING about how much money he had gotten since Haleigh went missing. This leads me to believe the LE have asked them to be quiet because they could be called to trial at some point.

I talked to someone from the tattoo shop (I think it was the owner) a long time ago. They were hesitant at first, and they even asked me if I was a "family member or supporter" of Ronald Cummings, and I laughed and said no.

I told them quite frankly there is nothing more I'd like than to see than Ronald Cummings charged in connection to Haleigh's disappearance.

Small town. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone has dirt on everyone. I know many people would go to the cops with information about Ronald, and if Ron or his family got wind of it they would retaliate.

I don't think LE has any sort of mysterious control over anyone at all...

I also suspect some dirty hands can be found in PCSO and LE down there too..JMHO

As far as the air conditioner maintenance man goes, RC (IMO) is not the type of individual to allow any strange person inside of his house..nope..no ron cummings! Based on this, I say rc either knew him very, very well or special arrangements were made. He may have told him, "You do not have my persmission to enter but can do whatever U do outside...or rc was present when the guy was there.

Another scenario would be rc made different arrangements with the guy by phone or in person to come another day.

Whisp, I see Ron the same way. Ron either knew him very well or he was there watching over this guy in and out of his mh. IMO, guys like Ron do not trust people and sometimes when someone sees themselves as shady characters they suspect everyone else to be the same. Little to no trust at all. Especially in the business of drug dealing. Trusting someone can get you killed, set up or robbed. They must be very careful dealing with others.

IMO, Ron was there when the A/C man was there. One thing that has always puzzled me about that situation, well two things 1.) if the A/C man made a phone call to Ron that day, why did Misty answer the phone? I would assume that the A/C man had Ron's phone number and not Misty's, so did Misty have Ron's phone? or was Ron present with his phone? He seemed to have his phone at work, so if he didn't have it earlier that day how did he get it at work? 2.) Misty slips and says that she handed the phone to Ronald. WTH?

Also, wasn't the A/C man there around 5pm? Wasn't there witnesses that claim Ron was still home around that time or didn't arrive to work until after the evening news? Can someone help me out here?

Hi S1. Levi has posted that LE has swprm:crazy: interviews (I think) from 2 witnesses that Ron was at their home demanding money and saying he was going to go after someone (a drug dealer I think) during the 6pm evening news. Sorry my memory is faulty on exact details. I'm old...

I'm stumped. I really am. Why didn't Misty take the deal? Either she's loyal to the bone, scared, doesn't remember, or she's the perp, & LE offered her the deal, hoping to trip her up, & get a body location. If LE's willing to play games with the others, why not her? But in all honesty, except for the drug sting & Tommy's 'confessions', I haven't suspected much set up from them. I just don't know what to think. There's been a lot of speculation that the reason she doesn't talk is because she'd rather go down for drugs than be seen as a baby killer. This was her chance to fix that, once & for all. Oh my...I've got some thinking to do. MOO.

Well, if rc's family is as bad as people say, than that person/s in trouble...because by now they have figured out who he/she is.

Dodie, just go back to the beginning and trust your instincts. This crime is most likely not complicated at all. Ron is the one in the mix that throws off everyone's thinking. If u remove him, it makes sense; if u insert him, it gets complicated

Some young girls see themselves as a savior of sorts for people like ron. ron met his waterloo when he brought her into his life. She may, indeed, be the perp or she may be covering for her ronald. Afterall, she branded herself with his name even AFTER he divorced her. She will do whatever it takes to keep him close. Remember, she is a teenager. She may see him as her Romeo and be willing to give her life for the man she loves.ll

Then again. She could have killed Haleigh and told him a whole different story.i

Besides herself, who would Misty be willing to protect? Ron was her boyfriend & he obviously loved her & gave her a better life, (by some standards, it was pretty good). CC said that he bought Misty a car & TN would take her shopping. If you can overlook the fights, she was pretty spoiled. no school, no job, a car, shopping, plenty of partying an heirloom wedding ring...& if she acted up, Ron would take her back. But how much did MISTY love RON? IDK, but she did get that tattoo, so even after the divorce, there was still something there. In court, it was reported that she mouthed out 'I love you to him'. I kinda thought he was covering for her, & him not mouthing back, meant the jig was up. But she didn't take the deal, so was there a jig? In the letter she supposedly wrote, the things she said about Ron, seemed silly...not like love. I'm not sure. They hadn't been together long, & she was so young...& she didn't have a problem getting with WBG, so some bonds, at least, weren't hard to break. Ok, & here's where my stomach ties up in knots. Would Misty protect Tommy? I remember early in the case, HC talked about how wild & how much worse Misty was than his sons, & how many problems she caused. He also made a point to tell how really hard Misty slept & how she was almost impossible to wake up. (See? His boys were good & Misty slept through it all. She knew nothing). I didn't like that. I also didn't like the way, IMO, HC manipulated Misty. In a call, he said that he & Lisa were gonna have to move, & Misty became very upset, & then he said her brother wanted to know why she hated him...in which she replied, (paraphrased), 'I don't hate my brother. I love my brother', all the while crying. So, IDK, but Misty covering for Tommy, might be more for her parents, & to save what little bit of family they have left. MOO.

dodie, this is a tough one because this has gone on for so long. Misty is a con and a manipulator...I don't know if she did it but my first guteral instincts were she did.

She has turned on her brother in the worst way. She told the world he molested her. She told LE about the minor thefts wich, BTW, gave him moocho more time. She told LE her brother holds the key....and to ask him.

I think she is more than willing to sell him out if she had anything. The problem as I see it is tommy has never once got angry or talked back to her or defended himself with her allegations..now that is strange.

And I think that is where LE is going. Y didn't tommy defend himself? It appears he would be guilty of the charges since he didn't.

My 1st instinct told me one thing, but then I remember Tim Miller saying that nothing was as it seemed in this case, & also how very immature Ron & Misty were...the most immature people he'd ever met, I think. & then I remember how really immature & silly they both looked in those NY pics...& I put this all together & it goes against my 1st instincts, because maybe things really aren't as they seemed. Maybe, just maybe, something happened because of their immaturity & negligence, but not at their hands. There are just too many red flags waving around all 3. which does nothing, but protect the killer. MOO.
