Thank you. If mom tells a 5-year old "I don't need you to do that," it means stop. If your boss says it, it means stop. If a police officer says it, it means STOP. So why are we supposed to believe that GZ doesn't have the same sense that a 5-year old child has, to know it means stop?

Sorry. It does not.. And If I said " I don't need you to do that. " To my child and they did it anyway they would not get in trouble for disobeying..

That is not fair, I gave them a choice.

I don't need you to, Infers while I don't need you to do it, you can if you want to.

With no bruising or marks on TM hands per the pics, is it possible that GZ hit himself in the face with his big flashlight? The multiple punches to the face does NOT add up.
And what gun owner carries their weapon with a fully loaded clip PLUS one chambered? That's just bad gun safety and an accident waiting to happen. IIR, there was no safety on GZ's gun.

No evidence of that.

one that has a concealed carry permit, which GZ obtained legally.

According to GZ's own words...he said TM said to him "Why are you following me?"

Supposedly, his response was "What are you doing around here?"

Then what?

George states later he was trying to detain him...unsure if this is supposedly before or after the shot?

Again, I am so confused about that statement.

But GZ states that the original confrontation begins with "Why are you following me?" from Trayvon.

This tells me - maybe it's just me - that George was in fact, following him then.

This didn't happen at GZ's car. The car was quite some distance from where this happened. Trayvon wasn't hiding anywhere...there are no buildings to hide where he was found. That was out in the open as it comes in that complex.

This is the problem. George's story doesn't add up to what we have been told and what we know.

And if he's lying about how this all happened, there is a reason for that.

To me, it all rides on who put their hands on whom first. Regardless of the provocation(TM is angry that GZ is following him) or how over zealous GZ was or even if he is a racist..it does not matter. Who ever struck the first physical blow is the aggressor IMO. Right now and all the evidence is not in..it looks like it's TM and not GZ. TM's only wound in the gun shot. GZ had bodily injuries that support the theory TM was on top of him. Regardless of how wrong that situation may have been...you can't starting punching. TM could have called 911 himself, but he did not . He could have said.".I'm TM and my dad lives here" ect. BUTTT if GZ grabbed TM in an attempt to "hold" him for police...doing an over zealous police thing..then it's a different story and GZ is the aggressor.

The operator reported wind noise, which would indicate Zimmerman was moving quickly, if not running. Zimmerman also mentions that he kept walking around, supposedly to look for an address, though for someone who knew the neighborhood, it sounds quite thin that he wouldn't know where he was.

For one thing, marijuana is a calming drug. About the only thing you'll smash after a joint is a sandwich.
For another, you're referencing an alleged history (no arrest record) that Zimmerman knew absolutely nothing about when he took it upon himself to chase someone down with a gun. There is only one person in this situation that has a documented history of assault, and that's Zimmerman - and it's not based on unverified stuff "found" on social media by skinhead hackers.

Is talking about guns a crime now (as opposed to using one to shoot someone to death)? Because I see people do that every day online.
So, one set of histories is admissible, while another is not. Gotcha.

That's all I was demonstrating. :winko:

I disagree. My 80-something mother often tells me that she doesn't need my help. I have to practically pry the laundry basket away from her to carry it upstairs. "Stop" means stop. "I don't need you to do that" could mean anything.

Find me the police reports or a link where it states GZ was chasing down Trayvon.

TM's girlfriends statement.

GIRLFRIEND: Yeah, ’cause, he said, it was still a little bit dripping water so he put his hoodie on. So I said, ’What’s going on?’ He said, this man is still watching from a car. So he about to run from the back. I told him, go to his dad’s house. Run to his dad’s house.

PROSECUTOR: Go to what?

GIRLFRIEND: Run to his dad’s house.

PROSECUTOR: To his dad’s house?

GIRLFRIEND: Yeah. So he said he was about to run from the back, so the next that I hear, he just run. I can hear that the wind blowing.

PROSECUTOR: So you could tell he was running at that time? OK. And then what happened?

GIRLFRIEND: Then he said, he lost him.

PROSECUTOR: He lost what, the man?

GIRLFRIEND: Yeah.

PROSECUTOR: So was Trayvon, at that time, you could tell he was, like, out of breath, like excited?

GIRLFRIEND: Yeah.

PROSECUTOR: OK. Take your time, I know this is difficult for you.

GIRLFRIEND: So he lost him. He was breathing hard. And by the sound of his voice, his voice kind of changed.

PROSECUTOR: Who, Trayvon’s?

GIRLFRIEND: Yeah.

During the opening statement yesterday, the defense said TM hands were not bagged and should have been wrapped in plastic.

IIRC, LE doesn't use plastic, because it retains moisture and can degrade evidence. I think they use some form of paper bag.
Just FYI, not related to whether they DID or DIDN'T :seeya:

Is it possible to block certain users so that I don't have to see ANY of their comments?

I've been following cases since JBR...and have been on WS since CA... and while us "regulars" have disagreed a time or 3...we managed to keep this a great forum. But all these comments not regarding the trial...not regarding the case...but just comments for the sake of calling someone a racists for their actions or comments...is getting ridiculous.

So if there is a way to block...can someone please give me the cliff notes version of how to do that?

Follow the directions in my signature line HTH's :)

We all agree it's a communication break down... but remember they did ask him to wait by the mailboxes which he also decided was a choice.

Uh, from what authoritative position are you speaking about gun safety in this manner?

It makes absolute sense to have a round always chambered, because you do not know if you will have time to rack the slide to load a round (what if your other arm is injured or unable to successfully pull back the slide?). That's also one less round available to you. Many weapons are manufactured without safeties. I do not see a problem with this, either - it's one less thing to fumble with when it's absolutely necessary to use as quickly as possible. Fine motor function is decreased when adrenaline is pumping. It was in a holster, and isn't just going to go off.

Just my experience as someone proficient with firearms...

Was watching the pics of GZ's head and face......I've had my nose broken twice in my lifetime. The area around my eyes went black and blue, and my eyelids drooped. My nose and area around my eyes went red immediately. Both times I was bleeding from my nose.
Not buying the "broken nose"... and I'm not seeing the "road rash" on the back of the head. When someone is pounding the back of your head into the concrete, you're head doesn't just smack straight into the concrete unless you're unconscious. You're struggling and you'd have more of abrasion type wounds. I also don't see any marks where TM would have gripped GZ's head to drive it into the concrete. JMO.

I see it exactly as you do. If pummeled GZ would have needed stitches, huge bandages, etc. - not a couple of bandaids. MOO :seeya:

And then he says No, I'm not going to run.

I said, ‘Keep running.’ He said he ain’t gonna run. ‘Cause he said he is right by his father’s house.
