You mean like a sobriety check point? What if someone matches the description of an armed robber? How about drug dogs being brough into schools? What if someone is trespassing on private property?

There is no fact that GZ is telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God. TM isn't here to tell his side of the story and someone has to be on his side, IMO. I don't believe everything GZ is saying, I just don't. I do not believe GZ is a murder, I do not believe he went out to kill someone, but someone ended up dead because of his actions. GZ put himself in this position, not the other way around. :twocents:

NOW CNN has put up a little trailer/teaser for the Zimmerman trial that looks to me, at first glance, to portray GZ as a dangerous person who is doggedly pursuing Trayvon Martin. I will gladly delete this post if that turns out not to be true.

They are shameless, if it is. There is a special place for those who try to push a lie over and over and over, when they know it is a lie, especially if it hurts innocent people. At least NG has started to cool her jets.

I find it hard to believe TM could do all these things at the same time. Also if your nose and mouth are being held how you can scream so loud and clearly.

I also find it odd that a teenager without a gun would say "you are going to die to night mfer. How was he going to kill him by punching him?

I mean not even SuperMan was such a colossal multi-tasker as Zimmerman expects us all to swallow.IMO

Which brings me to this; I am irritated and disgusted that Zimmerman's copious, convoluted statements; written, dramatized, spoken and otherwise are in His Opinion supposed to convince us That an unarmed boy heading home, was such a threat and was sooo blasted " suspicious " that he had to gun him down after what I have heard this morning deemed as an exaggerated encounter. " IMO

do you honestly believe those are impossible actions to take in a fight? who said all those actions were taken at the exact same second, as you imply? you can slam a head, hold a mouth and reach for a gun within seconds, not to mention within the context of an ongoing fight.

I am not arguing. I am trying to understand. GZ has made these statements as reasons that be fired his weapon.

Yes I have seen a fight. I've also been in a fight where someone hit me first. At no time did I think to kill them.

I have seen a fight when I was in my teens where someone was getting their head beat into the pavement. Guess what? That guy was asleep when the police got there. And required a lengthy hospital stay.

That is not fact based reasoning.. that is emotional reasoning and if that is what your source is that is okay. Every one gets to choose or not to choose what they believe.

But that is where I think we have that line of one side or the other.

I believe in the Justice system. WE have to presume innocence and it has to be proven that someone is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If there is no proof and only emotion reigns then we lose as a society.

I am so sorry that TM is gone. I am sorry that this happened but I see this as a happenstance of misery. They collided and TM overpowered GZ proven by his injuries and he shot to save his person. It did not have to be scared to the point of death, But I do believe that GZ believed he may die at the hand of TM and he shot him in self defense. That is what the issue is. Did GZ have enough evidence in that moment to think he was going to be done great harm. That is all the law states.. He had a right to protect his person.

Assault is a felony.

Correct...and we have the right to say "no". Key words are "probable cause". I would never consent to having my car searched if I had done nothing wrong.

Whether shot with intent, or not,
there is culpability.
As in past cases, where-in the defendant was innocent of intent,
there are still legal repercussions.

The boy, went out for snacks.
He may have been posing, trying to show strength,
as young men will do, in the face of confronting someone stronger.
The man, perceived a threat, perhaps based on recent burglaries.
A boy, mis-took the confrontation as a threat, perhaps reacted in agression, from fear.
That is all this is about.
A man pulled a gun, and shot.
What is the cost of this young mans life?

They found tool in the bushes, A piece of an awning or window in the bushes.. Like a slim jim.. to open locks to break in a vehicle..

IT was found after the event.

In the bushes behind a resident not far from event.

That is testimony from serino..

No. It was just testimony brought forth from Serino..

No positive link that it was from this case but just something to think about.
