Could there be separate federal charges, if they lied to the FBI agents, or obstructed FBI investigation? Weren't the feds brought in initially to investigate the "kidnapping"?

BTW, I did catch a little of that lady prosecutor on GR giving back lip to the THs. Something about KC doesn't stand a chance if JB sticks with the ZFG story, and the rest of the hoopla about the MR, etc. is meaningless if she can't prove her kidnapping story.

I sure as heck hope CA didn't lie to the Feds...oh, they're not as forgiving as OCSO IMO.

ITA! I meant the LA camp, GA/CA camp and KC camp. Personally, two weeks seems ridiculous. What next? They decide they DO need to investigate the crime scene? I see more attempts at roadblocks coming. They are using these two week period to come up with something else.
Perhaps they can get those bigfoot guys from Georgia to fabricate a Zanny sighting.
The wonderful thing about this , IMO, the longer they put this off, the more evidence comes out, like the two PI's.

I have been giving the defense benefit of the doubt regarding the length of time needed for an autopsy. But hearing today that it could be another two weeks? Well that just doesn't seem legit. If the autopsy truly doesn't happen this week, I'm calling foul.

Do you think the As are holding off funeral plans as a means to forestall proceedings against them? I hate thinking that, but I can't come up with any other logical explanation as to why they're delaying the "autopsy".

Nah -- I think the Defense is playing for time to let the dust settle, see how this PI video plays out and, if LE take any actions / the A immunity thing.

I doubt the A's are forestalling, either their attorney's will get them immunity or the shoe will fall. LE won't act unless it helps them, i.e., delay and let A's testify first or, use indictment as stick to get truer testimony. Turn LA?

In all honesty, it is likely a scheduling issue as well, since they have such a LARGE team of experts -- too many cooks, too many chiefs.

GOOD QUESTION!!!!! I would think if the indictments are brought by the SA's office then that wouldn't matter. However, if FBI (ie: Federal) indictments are brought - well - those are a whole different animal. But if Federal indictments are bought they would have to be something along the lines of "wire fraud" or whatever dealing with the trust fund fiasco.

Maybe one of the legal eagles on here could shed more light.

The Feds love the 'ole "mail fraud" charge as well.

If he could get away with Change of Venue and leaving the state....he's more than welcome to come to Louisiana (hehehe). Plenty of us La. members here on WS and we'd be more than happy to make JB & KC feel right at home, just like it was the Sunshine State. We even have room for her here at Angola Prison if they need a place to store her, plenty room on death row, if DP ends up back on table and conviction happens. LOL
