The sickening thing is Maria, herself, probably thinks shes' in love and run off with her prince charming ( so gross to even type it ) so she probably thinks they're having a romantic and wonderful time. I hope he doesn't become agitated and fearful of arrest and do something rash, though. Freaking sick creep!
Yep, that's a real scenario right there isn't it.
Going right back to the beginning when Maria went missing, there hasn't been anything confirmed through the Police nor the MSM that this case has played out like it has been reported. Her mother confirmed Maria said she was going to stay with a friend, and then she has not been 'verifiably' seen since - and neither has Bernhard Haase, the Skoda, nor the dog.
Reality - no one actually saw/knows what happened after she left her house to 'supposedly' go to her friends house.
Its assumed she is with Bernhard, because its assume she left with Berhard - because of the chatroom communications for a year - but there doesn't seem to be any indication that she was head over heels in love with Bernhard, on the contrary I think I read that she had said to a friend he was 'too old'.
I do think (though) that Bernhard was the instigator of why she left. What ever reason he gave her, he managed to kidnap 13 year old Maria.
Considering that he must have known that his own life could never be the same - he could not go back to his family or job, his home, or friends, nor be recognized in public again without going to jail.... what was the payoff? Maria? She is 13! What happens when Maria says she wants to go home and see her family - and she will. If not now, what about in 6 months, a year, 2 years time. How can he be so stupid to think that this could last - unless he is so selfish that this is all about 'his' life. How much damage has he already done to her life!
I just think one day Bernhard will get very sick or have an emergency and need a hospital and it will be his undoing.
I hope Maria is not in danger, or harm, or has been left or given to anyone else.
All I can say is: Let her come home Bernhard.
