Schwendemann left her home on Wednesday, July 21, 1993, and was never seen again. On the day of her disappearance, she rented a car in Berlin, a grey-silver colored Lancia Thema with license plates D-TC 463. The car was found on September 1, 1993, approximately 600 km (372 miles) away, unlocked in a parking space near Düsseldorf Central Station. No apparent ties could be found to trace Schwendemann to Düsseldorf.

At the time of her disappearance, Schwendemann was the owner of the bar "NO NAME" in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen and the mother of two children. It was considered out of character for her to leave her children behind.

No i didn’t. You think they resemble enough? I’ve been here long enough to see people give the pro’s and con’s of jane/john does but i’m not sure enough of my own opinion/knowlege…

In my opinion, there is a good resemblance, but I think the unknown deceased woman looks younger than 50-ish. I also see what appears to be a mole above her lip, but that could also be artifact. And they don't mention her having the birthmark that Marina is known to have. Also the dates really don't match up, unless she had "walked away" from her life, which seems unlikely.

Yet it wouldn't hurt to submit the idea, since countries do not necessarily check every possibility from other countries. JMO/MOO.
