Is there a way of translating Instagram comments from German to English I only seem to be able to translate the opening posting on pages not the comments underneath ? Thanks

I have no idea. You can try Google Translate, tedious though as you have to copy/paste text over.

There is! Not very visable but a red car.
Here is the "best image" I could find on google:
rebecca reusch florian r. - Google Search:

Wasnt it a Toyota?
per WELT on 3-3-19
The car that burned out on Parchimer Allee was a Toyota...
(Though seemingly unrelated to RR's case )....

But I cannot find the type of car the BIL and Sis drive...

do they have TWO cars?

This article says fibers from both, the jacket and the fleeceblanket, were found in the trunk.

Also seems to confirm that they have only one car.

---

Many are surprised: Why is the family of Rebecca Reusch, her parents and two sisters, still firmly behind the brother-in-law Florian R., although in his trunk today hair from Rebecca, as well as fibers of the missing fleece blanket were found? Rebecca's mother, Brigitte Reusch, told Bild.de: "The fact that Rebecca's hair and fibers from her jacket were found in the car is logical, because Jessica's daughter wanted to play in the car with Rebecca the day before when she left the playground. The fleece blanket was on many excursions with the children, they always travel around. " Brother-in-law Florian R. affirms that he had nothing to do with the disappearance.

In the trunk of the car of him and his wife Jessica, who is Becci's sister, now hair of Rebecca Reusch were found, as well as fiber traces of the fleece blanket, which she had allegedly taken with her disappearance. Also according to BILD, the statement of Florian R. contradicts the evidence. Because he stated that he had come home at 5.45 and then slept. However, according to his WhatsApp history, he later sent messages and was thus awake when Rebecca disappeared.

Family car was used by several people
The car was used in the past, according to information from the Berliner Zeitung, by both Florian R. and Rebecca's sister Jessica. At the time of the disappearance, the brother-in-law, according to current knowledge, had no access to the car because Jessica was traveling with it.

Interesting .... !

The STERN has another curious detail:

"According to a report in the "Berliner Zeitung" he (BIL) had no access to the car at the time of Rebecca's disappearance."

Rebecca Reusch: Führen Haar-Spuren im Auto der Schwester Polizei zu der 15-Jährigen? | STERN.de

It looks like someone is making an assumption that she vanished after the sister left for work. No one saw her at the house in the morning. Isn't it possible that she vanished earlier, at a time when the brother-in-law did have access to a car?

I guess it is possible. I'm sure police are trying to establish when exactly he left work and arrived home.

He must have an alibi up until a certain time before her disappearance, and one for some time later on Monday. Once they found those times they have to try and find that car on cctv somewhere in the interim ...

It also assumes that he used the car to do something with her. I think there could be a reasonable alternate explanation for trace evidence of her and the blanket in the trunk of the vehicle.

It looks like the evidence is coming down to the router logs. They not only show that Rebecca's phone was at the house in the morning, but also that he was using WhatsApp on his phone at the same time that he said he was sleeping.

I believe whatever happened to her took place in the middle of the night at an unknown time when he returned from the party. I think he then took her in the car, hid her and other evidence and then returned home at 545, saying he was just getting back home from the party. I think he went to bed for a bit, but then woke and tampered with her phone and whatever evidence was left immediately after his wife left for work.

I agree, this seems very likely.

If he came home at 5.45 his wife would have to be part of it as she probably got up at around 6 and left with the car at 7.

Or, he killed her after 7 and hid her body somewhere in the house (basement, garage, garden shed etc) and moved it the next night when Jessica was sleeping.

Just wondering, wouldn't his wife wake up if he left with the car in the middle of the night? Garage door opening, trunk of the car slamming shut, car motor starting etc. Mothers are light sleepers.

I’m sure they would have checked his work though as to what time he left as the police aren’t querying that. Also think we discovered it’s not a party as such but he was working as a cook at a party

There’s no unexplained dna in the car so he can’t have moved a body in that can he ? The hair and fibres seem explainable to me and not suspect

Was Rebecca still at a bus stop on the evening of 18 February?
The case of the missing student Rebecca (15) from Berlin continues to raise many questions. Even if a suspect is currently in custody - the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the girl are so far completely unclear. The investigators know so far only that her phone between 7 and 8 clock in the morning on 18 February the last time connected to the router in the apartment of her sister . But now a new witness claims to have seen Rebecca at a bus stop almost twelve hours later.

"I'm 1000 percent sure that it was Rebecca"
"She stood behind me at a bus stop, as normal as always [...] she had phoned someone," Samantha J. (18) tells RTL. However, she does not know who Rebecca was phoning with. "I was on my way to a birthday and then boarded the bus 15 minutes later, where she was still standing at the bus stop, and I do not know where she went afterwards."

Rebecca herself knows Samantha only by sight - but she is absolutely sure that the girl she saw at the bus stop is the missing person. "I recognized her face, and when I see people, I do not confuse them," she says. She was "more than 100 percent sure" that the girl had been Rebecca.

Samantha knows Rebecca's sister Vivien from before
Samantha was in a cheerleading group with Rebecca's sister Vivien. The two had but no longer contact. "When I saw Rebecca missing the day after, I immediately wrote Vivien," says Samantha. She also wants to have told the police, of which she was heard today as a witness according to their own testimony.
If Samantha is not mistaken, her statement would be a hot hit for the police. An inserted beagle tracked Rebecca's lane to a bus stop - that's where Samantha wants to see her. But even if Rebecca was still at the bus stop in the evening - more than two weeks have passed since then, when there was no sign of her life. Police are currently targeting Rebecca's brother-in-law. Rebecca was seen in the apartment the last time he lives with her sister. After being provisionally released last week, he is now back in custody. According to prosecutors, he is silent on the allegations against him. Rebecca's family is behind him and is sure that he is innocent

Wow. I feel incredibly sad for this entire family- what a rollercoaster. If I were them I would so so desperately cling to all hope that she was seen that night and forever argue that Florian is innocent.
Until they find some bombshell evidence this poor family will be in hell and unable to heal at all.

I can take a brief moment to also cling to all hope that she’s alive and left on her own free will and the cops (along with myself and others) have got this all wrong. Sigh

Interesting that Rebecca was "seen at the bus stop that night."

When she didn't go to school that day.

Unless Rebecca somehow acquired a second phone, wouldn't the police be able to see any other activity on her 'known' phone after the 8am shutoff?

ETA: From the article (BBM): she had phoned someone...
