and we did suggest a theory (at the beginning of the case) that she could have been lured out of the house by a "photographer" with nefarious motives...

Ah yes that's true we did!

This is the first time I’m hearing that she had SO many followers on a second account- I thought she had the one and her sister deleted pics from her OWN account and the details got messed up. RR very truly had that many followers before she went missing!?!? That throws me off a lot. I could see it being that high SINCE she went missing. The thought of her doing this for attention never crossed my mind and is appalling.
I, too, missed the drug discussion about him. I heard it as rumors on the German forum, but I’m interested in that. He must have been supplying his party buddies/coworkers small amounts of some party drug? I can’t imagine it being more serious that that...
Either way, I think he knew of more rural or wooded areas to hide evidence- whether it was driving to visit family, go on drug runs, or buying fireworks, I don’t think they directely played a part in her death nor do I believe he was doing “business” the day after and the day of her going missing.

If the BIL admits to running drugs, or fireworks (something illegal). The police will want to know 2 things:

Who is he getting it from and who is he selling it to. That opens up the flood gates he will be turning other people in. As some people mentioned on this forum, they could be higher powered people and he wants no repercussions from it.

The Polish firework arrest is from the past and not something that is ongoing or related to Rebecca's disappearance. The drug angle source is ??? Rebecca's father? Where did that information come from?

At this time, I haven't seen anything to connect Rebecca's disappearance to anyone except the brother-in-law. Rebecca's phone was connected to her sister's house until at least 8AM on the day she vanished. The only other person there was her brother-in-law, yet he said that she was not there at 7:15AM.

I don’t think it’s been mentioned, and I don’t think it’s that important, but anyone can buy followers on Instagram through different apps. They’re mostly computer generated. I don’t think social media played in to Rebecca’s disappearance, but what do I know?
I’m just praying Rebecca is safe somewhere and is found soon. And if something has happened to her, I hope her family can acknowledge and accept it, and there can be a confession. Ugh, sweet girl-I’m still holding out hope!

Can we clear this up : I thought sister deleted photos from HER own account and Rebecca’s hasn’t been touched ? Is this correct

Another thing I find strange is the public is moaning that the photo used to look for Rebecca is a highly filtered / edited photo , again am I’m correct in saying the parents don’t have any normal photos of her ( it’s hard to follow all the translations) but surely they have a normal photo like on Christmas Day or school photo or one from her friends when she’s just a bit more natural

'7:36: The parents of the missing Rebecca are with the nerves at the end. "We get weird calls that we're the killers," they said in a conversation with RTL. "We're not hiding anything, of course we're worried about our daughter."

"In addition, the homicide commission is now also considering the use of divers, as the forest bordering a lake.(March 10th)"

About fireworks in The Netherlands.. I have to agree that it really gets awful here and hardly call it fireworks, but explosions. More and more people are asking for a ban on fireworks. It is not normally that some morons use it against
rescuers, LE etc etc. But I always hear on MSM that most illegal fireworks are bought in Belgium, instead of Germany.

I have looked at many pictures of RR on Instagram and RR has idd 2 accounts there, but to be honest.. I think on all those pictures, she looks very different. As her sister stated, her hair is (dark) blond with a pony and pink strings. Also saw a picture where her hair is completely pink...
Must have been her favorite color, I think.
The pink camera is brand Fuiji

I am confused about that too.. MSM does not clear that up. Also I did read that the found gray top/sweater was Rebecca's..
From my memory, I do recall that the mall close by has CCTV.

Oh yes not much more came in MSM about the top they found

To clear up the deleted photos on Instagram: Each of her accounts only has about 3 photos her. Her sister deleted photos from both accounts.

The Rebecca.Reusch account (255 followers) has a missing flyer among them. Her sister most likely deleted photos on this account as well. Not to distract from the missing poster.

The one with 36k followers has three photos of her. (no missing posters). So the sister definitely deleted many photos of her from that account. It makes sense now why she carries a camera around. You don't get 36k followers with 3 photos.

People like the Kadashians have the money to buy followers. Not 14 year olds usually.

Correct. That is what we figured out at the beginning of this discussion. Rebecca's sister deleted photos from her Instagram account, Rebecca's account was unchanged.

I don't know if this has been posted, but there is a video of an interview with Rebecca's father that has interesting comments in German. If you search at Yo***be (I don't know if I can mention this site) for "Rebecca's Vater im Interview," you can find it.

Case Rebecca: Search ended with no apparent success

Policemen and THW focused their search for Rebecca on Lake Wolziger near Storkow - with no apparent success.

The Berlin police continued on Tuesday the search for Rebecca in a forest near Storkow. The police were assisted by forces of the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). The search focused on an area on Lake Wolziger, 50 kilometers southeast of Berlin.

The action in the forest near Rieplos near the motorway between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder) was finished in the evening in the dark without any apparent success, as reported by local photographers. The Technical Relief Agency (THW), which had supported the homicide squad, also packed up. About the results of the action and a possible continuation of the search on Wednesday, initially nothing was known, as a police spokeswoman said. According to information from the Berliner Morgenpost, there were no new findings justifying the new search.

Rather, this is due to the exchange with other authorities, in this case the THW. The operation was supported by a tracking and salvaging squad of the THW from Steglitz-Zehlendorf, who are equipped with special technology.

The metrological location group (MTOG) of the THW district association was also used. This specialist group explores areas of damage and locates trapped and missing persons by means of technical locating devices, it is stated on the THW website.

According to a police spokeswoman on Tuesday, a total of 25 people were busy with the search. The police were investigators of the homicide, forensic technicians and four dog handlers on Lake Wolziger. Twelve specialists from THW supported the search, which lasted until dusk. At first, nothing was known about new findings in the case.

Already from Thursday to Saturday, police hundreds and experts with special cadaver dogs combed a forest in the area. The Wolziger lake is located near the forest and the adjacent small village Kummersdorf. Nothing was found. Information from the population led to the area near the highway between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder).

As the "B.Z." reported on Tuesday, the investigators took on-site plaster casts of tire marks.

"In addition, the forensics have taken plaster casts of tire marks. Apparently, the police want to match these with the tire prints of the red Renault Twingo of the suspected brother-in-law. As Bild reports, in the afternoon employees of the Criminal Police used white protective suits. However, it is still unclear whether this is related to an important find in the Rebecca case. However, the protective suits are often an indication that possible traces should not be contaminated."

Missing Rebecca (15): Forensics secures traces - Two riders gave a hint

Update of March 13, 6:57: Why had the police in the forest in Brandenburg, the search for Rebecca resumed yesterday? As the "BZ" wants to have learned, two riders are said to have seen a man there, which fits the description of Rebecca's brother-in-law. In addition, the raspberry-colored small car should have been seen there.

Forensics secures traces - Is tire impression crucial?

Update, March 12, 8:10 pm: Police have temporarily stopped searching for the body of the missing Rebecca on Tuesday night. After dark, the forensic technicians and THW employees left the forest near Rieplos. This was reported by local photographers. The police still could not tell if the search will continue on Wednesday in the forest.

Evidently, evidence from the population had led the investigators in the forest. The 15-year-old's suspected brother-in-law's Renault Twingo had been seen the day of Rebecca's disappearance and the following day on the highway.
