It´s been updated. A garment has been found, not sure yet if it´s Rebecca´s.

Oh my. That's not good. Hopefully unrelated.

How did they get the idea to search the old clothes containers?

Rebecca in Berlin missing: That's what an ex-cop says

In conversation with the Bild, talks Axel Petermann, the ex-policeman worked for almost 40 years at the Kripo Bremen, including profilers. For Petermann especially the day of the disappearance is mysterious: "The circumstances of the disappearance are strange. Why is she leaving so early? Why does she take this blanket? This makes no sense, for example, when planning a 'break time'. "Another evidence that speaks against a voluntary break from the student, is both the fact that Rebecca had no hygiene products with them and also no girlfriend inaugurated in their plans have.
A random crime excludes Axel Petermann: "One can never rule out that something happens on the way to school. Only: why did she leave the house so early? "And a suicide or a secret love are out of the question for the ex-policeman. "Then she still would not have had to leave the house early in the morning. And why did she take a fleece blanket? And not a small suitcase to go underground for a while? "Petermann analyzes.

Besides, it's strange that she was not seen by anyone in the city of Berlin and there's hardly any evidence. Why does not a bus driver answer? Other students who were traveling at this time? "Explains Petermann. If the ex-cop is concerned, the key to the riddle could lie in an incident the night before: "It would be interesting to know how the evening before was. The morning of her disappearance remains mysterious in any case. "

could the allegedly found "garment" be the blanket?

I am glad you brought up the potential reasons for staying the night at Sis's house...
As I was wondering that, as well...

Of course, in many cases, there needs to be no reason to stay at a relative's house... As it is just fun to be with other family members...

But is this a common occurrence with RR?...
Why on a night before school?
Was there a stressor which RR was experiencing which led her to "get away" and stay at her sis's house?
or was there a specific event at the sis's house on Sunday night?
(for instance B-Day party for a family member?
But then... The parents would probably be invited, too...)

I am just throwing some thoughts around...

All JMO...

Yes good questions.

There’s nothing wrong with her crashing at her sister’s home.

The reason I want to know if this was a regular occurance or not is because it sets the scene to offer up other clues.

Were people in the area and on that route familiar with her ride to school there or was this a completely new bus route/ experience for her?

Did she spend the night at her sisters because she was indeed meeting someone and her sisters place was close to the meet up or because there would be less supervision in the morning to leave early to meet someone?

I think it’s important to know whether this was normal for her to do. IMO

Search for 15 year old Berliner
Nearly 100 clues and no trace: Miss Rebecca's family with desperate appeals
Even nine days after the disappearance of Rebecca Reusch from Berlin is missing from the schoolgirl every trace. Despair grows - and yet nobody thinks of giving up.

Every hint gives a bit of hope. There are already 96 who have arrived at the Berlin police until noon in search of the missing Rebecca.

The student disappeared nine days ago, on Monday morning at 7.15 clock, without a trace from the apartment of one of her older sister in Berlin-Britz.

Since then, there has been growing concern among family and friends, as well as the police, that something could have happened to the 15-year-old. Meanwhile, a murder commission of the Berlin State Office for Criminal Investigation has turned to the case, "because it can no longer be ruled out that the girl has fallen victim to a criminal offense," a police spokesman said.

Police are looking for Rebecca Reusch by helicopter
On Wednesday, the police continued their search. Around the place of residence of the older sister, several riot police trains were again on the go,tracking dogs were in action, a helicopter circled over the area. , a helicopter circled over the area. "So far we have not been able to find Rebecca," a spokesman told stern at noon. The search will continue.

According to the "Bild" newspaper, investigators are also trying to get hold of any backup files from the teens' WhatsApp chats in order to possibly get clues about their communication before disappearing. The police spokesman did not want to confirm or deny the information.

The investigators do their work, the relatives what they can do. On Tuesday, a call from the family was followed by dozens of Berliners to search for youth in the district of Rudow. But where do you start? It's the proverbial search for the needle in a haystack. There are countless gardens, green areas, backyards.

A sister of the missing person published desperate messages on Instagram: "I will not give up and look for her until I can hold my Becci in my arms again," she writes. And: "We love you, God is with you and protects you." The family posts in social media online reports, photos from the life of Rebecca, thanks for the support. The posts under the #FindBecci hashtag are viewed and shared ten thousand times. "We are sure that she did not just run away, she told her dad the day before that she wanted to redesign the photo wall in her room, she had so much in mind that I can imagine her being held somewhere "said mother" Focus Online ". "We suspect that she wanted to meet someone", the "Berliner Kurier" quotes the girl's father.

"We will find Becci"
To reconstruct the morning of the 18th of February is one of the tasks of the homicide commission. So far, the police have been certain that the student spent the night on Monday with her sister in the Mason Way. At 9.50 clock she had started school in the Fritz-Erler-Allee, about two kilometers as the crow flies. But there the girl never arrived.
Rebecca got up earlier than necessary on the morning, reports the newspaper "B.Z.". In the morning, her mobile phone should still have been logged in the sister's Wlan router. When Rebecca's mother called her daughter at 7.15, the phone was down. According to "Welt", the teenager sent a WhatsApp message in the morning. To whom is not known.

One sister of the missing is certain: "Rebecca definitely went to the bus stop Monday morning where the bus goes to her school." Has anyone seen her? Not clear. Striking is: The student has allegedly taken a fleece blanket. What for?

These are questions that the homicide investigators investigate. But there are many more: Did the girl have a friend she wanted to meet? Was there a fight or bullying at school? Trouble at home? Rebecca is considered popular and reliable - it does not fit in with her, say the relatives. Also, that she could have done something to herself, exclude them.

Recently, a sister of Rebecca posted another video on Instagram. Close to tears she is sure: "We will find Becci."
Every new hint gives it a bit of hope.

Rebecca is 15 years old, but could look older. She is 1.70 to 1.80 meters tall, slim and has dark blond to brown, shoulder-length hair. Upon her disappearance, she was dressed in a pink plush jacket, a white hoodie labeled "Rap Monster 94" and "BTS," blue jeans with torn knees and black and white "Vans" sneakers. She had a beige and pink purse and a red backpack with her.

Fast 100 Hinweise und keine Spur: Familie von vermisster Rebecca mit verzweifelten Appellen

Thank you for the updates!

If her phone was no longer connected to the house router at 7:15 AM when she received the "wake-up text" then something happened in the middle of the night. Did the family lock the doors at night? Is there any sign that someone entered the house through something like a window? Is there any CCTV footage in the neighborhood for the 3-4 days prior to her disappearance?

For me, it looks like she did not voluntarily leave the house, where she was sleeping on the sofa, before 7:15AM. The WhatsApp message may be a decoy, depends on whether the phone was connected to the house router. Isn't it possible that there was an intruder who abducted her and she left clutching the blanket?

I understand that scent dogs tracked her to the bus stop. Didn't she often spend the weekend at her sister's house, so there's no way to know which day she left the scent? At the very least, wasn't she there for the weekend, so it's possible she took the bus during the weekend.

If tracking dogs had gone anywhere but the bus stop, that would be helpful. Tracking to the bus stop doesn't seem to add any good information.

I can’t make much of the tracking to bus stop, as you note we don’t know when she last took that route. I am not seeing any evidence that she left the house that morning to go to the bus. Or anywhere else.

Exactly. The answer lies in the night before: were the doors locked, were any windows open during the day, who was home and at what time, who turned off the lights, who last saw her? Was anything else different in the morning? How did the sister not notice that she was missing at 7:15AM if she was sleeping on the sofa? Were she and her blanket missing when the sister took the toddler to kindergarten, or is the sofa in a different room so she didn't notice?

Exactly. No bus driver or students saw her that day. No one saw her at the house in the morning. Her phone was not connected to the house router at 7:15AM when the "wake-up text" was sent. She was not in the house at 7:15AM. What happened the night before, and did something happen in the middle of the night. If so, is there any CCTV footage of the area between lights out and 7:15AM?

If she was snatched in the middle of the night, clutching her blanket, there's a 50-50 chance it's someone she knows. She deleted many Instagram photos the day before her disappearance. Is there anyone in those photos who is unaccounted for between lights out and 7:15AM that day? There is also a 50% chance that it was a targeted yet random abduction, a la serial predator.

She deleted many Instagram photos the day before her disappearance. Is there anyone in those photos who is unaccounted for between lights out and 7:15AM that day?

This has been corrected by the father yesterday (quote and link a couple pages back). It wasn't Rebecca who deleted photos on IG, it was one of her sisters who deleted photos on her own IG account.

Thinking about something else the father said, that it looks like she went out to meet someone. What I find odd is that she would meet that alleged person on a Monday morning, a couple of hours before school starts. If this was a planned meeting why not meet some time on the weekend when there's more free time to hang out or do whatever they wanted to do together?

Meeting someone on this day and at this hour means to me that a) it was spontaneous, or this was the only time the other person could make it, b) it was secret, and c) it has a kind of urgent, almost desperate feeling to it. She just had to see this person urgently before school! So much so that she even gave up sleeping in. And as I said before, the fact that the person she messaged before 7am hasn't come forward is highly suspicious. I'm thinking, maybe an affair with a married man.

This is all moo and based on the theory that she was sleeping at her sister's place till Monday morning and then left on her own account.

I fear the worst, hoping to be wrong..

Seems like the garment lead police to the suspect..?

'The finding of a piece of clothing has apparently put the police on a hot trail in the search for 15-year-old Rebecca Reusch.
In a green area on the Johannisthaler Chaussee the officials had on Wednesday afternoon, according to information of the Berliner Zeitung a light gray top ensured. A civilian emergency vehicle brought the garment to the criminal investigation department of the State Criminal Police Office. There, the substance is examined for DNA traces of Rebecca and her possible kidnapper.'

My first thought was they got the WhatsApp info.
Either found who she was messaging, or found it wasn´t her who was using it.

I´m guessing it won´t be long until they find her now...
