If we expand out to the other victims found in Gilgo and Manorville, there might be even more 'exceptions'. With the unidentified Does in particular, there's not a lot of information about how tall they might be, let alone body mass. We know Asian Doe's rough height, which is about the same as Megan's, but they were skeletal, so any estimates of weight would require information about the sizing of their clothing, which isn't public. I can't find estimates of weight or height on Peaches, Fire Island Doe, Cherries, or Lattingtown Doe. So any of these could be taller, have a more robust frame, or a curvier shape. We just don't know.

Was Lattington Doe the suggested Asian female with the gold small pig pendant?

Yes. She was wrapped in material and buried. Police have not disclosed anything about what kind of material. That's why I think she's worth including as a possibility.

Do we have a thread for potential victims?

Two sex workers currently in Suffolk County Jail had prior contact with Heuermann and have audio recordings of him, according to the sheriff's office.

The two interacted with him through various social media platforms.

"He had reached out to them for sex," Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon said. "They had took the calls but fortunately, they did not meet with him."

Investigators are also talking to other sex workers in Suffolk County Jail, seeking anyone else who interacted with Heuermann in the past. That could expand to jails in neighboring counties and beyond.

Once Heuermann was identified as a suspect in the Gilgo Beach deaths, the Suffolk County Sheriff's office shared his distinctive physical description with inmates they knew were involved in sex trafficking. They could not share a photo of him at that time, due to the sensitivity of the investigation.

They also went through Heuermann's phone records, and realized the two sex workers serving time in the jail had previously been contacted by him. They were interviewed and provided the audio recordings.

After Heuermann was arrested, members of the jail's human trafficking unit were then cleared to show his photo to current inmates to see if any of them had contact with him. They are also reaching out to sex trafficking victims no longer in custody.
Having recordings is amazing and could be the nail in his coffin!

I am so glad the new Prosecuting Attorney formed the task force in place of the previously corrupt sheriff's dept. that proceeded his administration.

Kudos to him for making this investigation a priority. The new sheriff's dept. assigned 1 investigator full time as well as the state of NY did the same. Working with the FBI, they got the resources they needed to do an in-depth search of phone records, DNA, etc. to triangulate locations and work their way down to an individual who lived near the cell towers in both Ma. Park as well as Manhattan.

GREAT police work!

Right????
i wonder how recent those calls were that they actually kept the recordings.
or maybe they were so off the wall that they kept them?

Oh, here is Lattingtown Doe's thread, though, it's just in the regular unidentified forum.

I have to say, the LISK case was one of the best researched and best archived cases Websleuthers has ever done, imo. The work we did on the victimology alone was stellar. We always saw these victims as real people and we wanted to know who they were as individuals. That alone lead us to research that was solid and verifiable and, imo , important.

The thing that I was concerned about is the back taxes. If he owes so much in back taxes (even if she is not aware) and they filed jointly each year, isn't she responsible for paying those taxes, too?

Plus, if he is found guilty and she has any assets, the families of the victims will surely file a lawsuit for damages. I wouldn't think that a divorce would protect the assets, but I don't know.

All I know is that it has to be a nightmare for his family. They are victims, too.

JMO.
Despite the fact there may be financial obligations she may be liable for, perhaps the heinous nature of the charges alone were enough to catapult her to divorce. We also don’t know what the last 27 years were like for her. The grocery store clerk reported she never saw the wife smile. She might be relieved now that she no longer has to live with him and that can be more valuable to her than any possible bills she may incur as a result of this.

I have been impressed with the general level of logic and research done by members on this forum.

I was formerly in LE (in a side branch) and am retired now, but like staying up to date on some of these cases to keep my mind active. The victims families are always in my heart. They need justice.

About the burlap, I was angry when last week it was finally revealed that the burlap had a camouflage pattern. Can you imagine how many people would have been eliminated as possible suspect if that little tidbit had been known? Also, more tips re: people who had that type of burlap might have come from the public- especially if they had the vehicle and suspect descriptions.

ITA... soooo much info LE already had but absolutely NOTHING was done with it. Infuriating.

About Asian Doe, I am wondering, has anybody made a sketch of what they might have looked like as female?

This doe was found wearing women’s clothes. There is a very good chance they presented as female in life. I have to wonder if the current existing sketch is not a good likeness.

Brass said Heuermann mentioned the burlap sacks that the victims were found wrapped in—information that she is not sure was known by the public at the time.

"He just talked about the burlap sacks and bodies going into burlap," she said.
Heuermann "made the victims seem like people who didn't matter," she said. "He was just like, well, they were all escorts anyway."

BBM: why would he say this to her if she, herself, was a SW? Wasn’t that mentioned yesterday, that she was a SW?

yes, the divorce filing was really FAST.

Makes me think: 1) She 100% believes it even though he probably didn't admit it to her and 2) That house of hers is destroyed and she will never go back to it. Time to start a new life.

I hope she has some help to carry on with her family now that she has made the decision to leave for good.

I really feel for her. She is also a victim.

I'm sticking with the informants who encountered him and who are giving info to LE directly. FWIW.

Wow! And she told people she thought she had dinner with the Gilgo Murderer. She was that convinced.. he was enjoying the conversation about the murders too well.

they are ultimately going to find a TON of people who had contact with this guy

Edit because I struggle with properly quoting posts
