I just made up another name Nicey Icy's
LOL EXACTLY MEGNUT. They don't know the fun of having to store them, use them, and then trying to decide whether you should throw them away especially if you didn't label them properly. OR was that just me. LOL. I am LOVIN' reading about your old computers. It pains me that the young among us have never had to save anything on a floppy disk.
Ohhhhh... Now it makes sense. My first thought was of cow licks (salt blocks) so it made me wonder why someone would want to lick a block of ice (water). Cows do it for a reason so was trying to determine if they were thirsty or something, then not understanding why they just didn't get their own glasses of water.Ice block is what Australians call a popsicle.
Popsicles and lollipops are 2 different things but darn close! Popsicles are frozen flavored water (the sicle part is from icesicle.) Cherry, root beer, etc. on a stick. Lollipops are hard candy on a stick. They aren't frozen. Thanks @iamshadow21 !
I was thinking that maybe something got lost in the translation.
And I always think that popsicles are like our lollipops
I don't always think that they're like our ice blocks, or other names they're known by, ice confection, water ice etc
Icy Poles was another name that became generic in Australia in the past.

What’s even more impressive is that Louis was either blind or partially sighted himself.4 January
is World Braille Day
It is a worldwide celebration
that takes place every year on 4 January.

It recognises the incredible legacy of braille,
the tactile code used by many blind and partially sighted people,
which was developed 200 years ago.

"Today we celebrate
the work of Louis Braille,
who at the age of 15
invented a remarkable reading and writing system
that changed the lives of blind and partially sighted people.
Braille helped them connect with the sighted world
and empowered them to more fully participate in it.
Increased literacy led to better education,
the ability to work and live independently,
and achieve one’s full potential."

My parents lied to me, but it’s a good thing that I’ve always liked carrots. They told me that carrots are good for your eyesight. I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts since I was eight years old.You can have ALLLLL my carrots. I hate them cooked. Only raw, please!
