My points...why report a gun stolen if you didn't intend to use it? Which she did we all agree on. I think the gun was first, no blood because he was washed off. So even tho the ME carries a lot of weight my experience says this is his best guess with his acknowledgement that the body was decomposing. My whole thinking on the sequence has changed.
Thinking about Travis's position sitting in the shower perfectly aligns his right eyebrow to JA holding a gun. It now totally explains his expression in that last face pic and she had to have held him hostage in this position for a minute while she probably berated him the whole time.
She shoots him and JA is shocked that Travis manages to escape the shower.
Travis is mortally wounded but still somewhat mobile.
Travis manages to escape the shower and somehow manages to knock the gun from JA hand.
Mortally wounded and crippled from the shot to the brain, Travis manages to stumble to the sink. He is spitting blood from the gun shot to the mouth.
Meanwhile, having lost the gun, JA resorts to plan B and starts stabbing Travis in the back.
Travis is severely handicapped by the bullet to the brain but he manages to turn around and face his assailant. He throws up his hands to defend himself. JA administers a fatal stab to to heart.
Travis is doomed. He crawls down the hall. JA straddles his body at the end of the hall and slits his throat.
One minute and fifteen seconds from the shot to the end.

Either way it was way overkill and then to call him and leave that voice message about going to a play and she sounds soooooooo happy.

And to change the subject, today with those statements she was giving.....she really thinks someone will believe what she is saying. JA obviously was taking her time to think of the next answer because it was not on the tip of her tongue as it should be if this really happened to her. Her body language reeked of "let me think about this question before I answer because I don't want to trip myself up." jmo

I think it is demonstrated on an xray of Travis' skull.

The only xray i've found doesn't show where the entry wound is. If anyone finds one that does please post, thanks.,

I agree. And, I think that the last photo of Travis alive, with the look of some type of anger/frustration/fear, was when he finally realized that Jodi was taking photos of him after he had told her that he didn't want to have his photos taken in the shower. I'm not adverse to thinking that there might be more to this photo than just that, but I also think that the previous shots were not ones that Travis knew she was taking. Once again, she was stalking. She stalked him right up to the moment of his death.

I understand why people believe that she took them without his permission but I do not think that's the case. Men are much less likely to play up for the camera than women are. I can believe that he really did say to her that he felt gay. The intent of the shots was clearly to be sexy and show off his newly toned body not to smile head on.

I don't believe TA was still alive when she shot him. Why? Because if she slit his throat before the gun shot, once his throat injury was inflicted he was done, finished, fini. He would have lived for maybe 15 to 25 more seconds. I remember the testimony about the (same) neck wound Nicole Brown got from Simpson. The M.E. said she was gone with immediate loss of consciousness. This is the same exact wound.

And the M.E. said if TA got that bullet to the head first he would not have been able to stand up or move around--he would be down immediately. So just through logic (plus the fact that the shell casing is sitting on top of a pool of blood), the stab wounds had to come first, then the neck wound (which left huge pools of blood), and the gun shot last, though he was already a goner by that point.

Considering this entire sequence took place within a 90 second period of time, it's possible JA thought that TA was still alive, but in the photo where she is dragging him on the floor, you can see he has that neck wound because the blood is sloshing back over his shoulder. None of his other wounds would have bled like that, in that direction.

Okay, what experience is it that tells you the ME is only guessing????

What was the deal at one point when she had a fist to each temple? I thought we were going to see "fisties"!

She was ALONE in the room waiting for the detective to return.

She has admitted killing him, so there's no question she was, in fact, toting those weapons immediately after handling the camera. Thankfully, the jury does not have to figure out if Jodi could have shot, stabbed and sliced Travis-- she admits it.

gotta keep that in mind the defense isn't contesting that.

He was taken by surprise and stabbed in the heart first. That would have not only surprised him, but it would have incapacitated him to the point of him falling to the floor very quickly. I don't believe she necessarily was facing him at this point. Once she stabbed him, he most likely stumbled to the sink, where we see the blood spatter. as he is getting weaker and weaker, she goes up behind him and continues to stab him in the back. He is so taken by surprise and is suffering from the stab wound to the heart that he falls to the ground and she waits a couple of more seconds until he appears to be fully incapacitated and then slits his throat. She drags him back into the shower where she shoots him for good measure. I can say with certainty that if they were both at full capacity and facing one another, he would have easily overpowered her. We know there are defense wounds. I think that he was so shocked that he tried to get away from her. If he hadn't been stabbed in the heart, he would have also been able to fight her off. But, with this wound being ultimately a fatal wound, I guess you could say that she lucked out.

Speaking of Jodi's motivation to stab and shoot Travis after having many hours of wild kinky sex with Travis. She was his dirty little secret and she knew it. He felt filthy and felt she was filth that kept putting him in that position and he let her know it. He had a deep desire to stop feeling this about himself. The relationship didn't start this way, but became more of a perverted addiction in his mind. It was making him sick, she was making him sick. He could hardly stand her anymore but she kept forcing herself upon him.
He could almost vomit and let her know that he was never ever going to give into her again, was going to live an honorable life, with a clean minded family.
She Felt rejected, used and no longer in control. She couldn't stalk him effectively being so many miles away. That was it! She decided shew was going to screw his brains out over and over, kinky as she could, be every bit of everything he claimed he didn't want in a wife, but did it over and over with her. Then, she told him he was never going to see her again because she was going to kill him and he was going to be in every bit as much pain inflicted by her as he has put her through.
Well, it's just a theory but ....

I thought her grandparents reported to police that their gun had been stolen (and not that JA reported the theft)?

That is a horrible thought, but I think you may be right. She was in a frenzy and couldn't stop. Each stab was a 'you take that' type of thought. Such a waste and such a silly crazy girl. jmo

it makes a huge difference - thats why they were arguing about it - shot first still going - defends w/ knife - innocent self defense - stab and sliced dead then shot after guilty murder 1

I am having trouble understanding why it would make such a big difference which order. How could the defense claim "self defense" even if she shot him first? If he started to attack her first, did she just happen to have a gun handy? That makes no sense either way to me if her attorneys claim self defense.

There were so many stab wounds to his back. That surely shows his back was turned to her at some point. 20+ stab wounds....It seems like she at some point could have run away.

I think her goose is cooked no matter the order.
