GUILTY Greece - Caroline Crouch, 20, British, tortured and murdered, Athens, 11 May 2021 *Appeal filed 2023* #5

I suspect it was premeditated as LE have said they know when he removed the security camera - about midnight.

Why do you think he would have called his father (if, in fact, he did)?
Well, by not premeditated I mean it all happened during one night. If, as Police say, he called sb close to him after the murder, he must have been in absolute dismay and panick - the effects of murderous rage.

Yes but it cannot be classed as a "crime of passion" as B made sure C was asleep first.

Yes, of course.
I just used layman language.
It would definitely be treated as premeditated in court.

LE doubts there is an accomplice. LE also believe that the threatening calls and car damage that therapist EM received are unrelated to this case.

eta: Are you as confused as I am?

I give up :) I will patiently wait for the trial.

It might mean that the therapist stepped on someone else's toes, no?

Oh yes, they mentioned that too! I imagine all the publicity about her lack of qualifications hasn't been great for business!

Am I surprised? Not in the least!

Fimes Aug 25/26 A bit of an update on a possible accomplice after the fact, not sure if it's the person who allegedly made 3 threatening call to the therapist.

Who has been summoned three times in the last few days to GADA for questioning in the case of the murder of Caroline in Glyka Nera ? ...
[He] is a relative of Babis Anagnostopoulos who allegedly played a role in the development of the case.
In fact, according to an ELAS officer, the person in question allegedly provided some form of assistance to the killer.

Ποιο άτομο κλήθηκε τρεις φορές τις τελευταίες μέρες στη ΓΑΔΑ για ανάκριση στην υπόθεση δολοφονίας της Καρολάιν στα Γλυκά Νερά;

It looks to me as if there could be two different persons - one who B called after the murder and another who made the three threatening phone calls.

LE are now saying that they were prank calls to EM's colleague and not related to this case BUT they have not cleared who the person was who B called after the murder hence the confusion.

Then the latest article states: ".....it does not appear that there was a person who assisted the accused in the cold-blooded murder of his wife. "

"Police note that neither the examination of the scene of Caroline's murder, nor the analysis of telephone calls reveal the involvement of another person in the murder of the 20-year-old girl. of the Attica Security that investigated the case, it was noted that there had been lifting of confidentiality of communications and relatives of the murderer without anything worth mentioning "

But it also states that: "In the coming days, data on telephone communications, camera footage, banking data are expected to be presented, while relatives and friends of the couple will be called for deposits."

My takeaway from that is that they have not checked out family and friends yet as it says "it does not appear" that another person assisted in this case.

Why would they have claimed that B phoned someone after the murder if he didn't?

I don't know; your confusion is as good as mine! It sounds like LE is preparing to present their findings on the communications angle, but what on earth does it mean by 'deposits'? They've already interviewed everybody connected to B & C.

I think LE knows B acted alone and the evidence will likely eliminate the possibility of anyone else being involved. Imo

You could be right but I am open to finding out otherwise at the moment.

I read somewhere that it was not connected to this case.

If I were the therapist, I would be immediately retiring to a far away cottage somewhere in the country.

Ha haha Yes, and she is at appropriate age to retire. You know - sth ends, sth begins...

Did anyone interpret the article to mean that EM's colleague was actually the one who was harassed by the prank phone calls? That's what I understood.

I don't know, it depends on which MSM you read? The one I linked mentions phone calls, but only a phone call in regards to the colleague. It also said they shared common office phone numbers? Maybe it doesn't matter, b/c LE are of the mind that none of the calls have anything to do with B? With all the news coverage, I'd think that EM experienced a lot of harassment, given her unprofessional actions.
