Wonder how his phone tracked him in the house. Maybe he had more than one wlan station?

Organised crime

Greece

Greece ranked 68th in the world, with the country marking an important point on the so-called ‘Balkan route’ for Afghan heroin heading to Europe.

Several significant Greek organised crime groups have also been caught facilitating illegal migration and providing fake documents to both them and other groups in recent years.

Europol says people smuggling is one of the most profitable and widespread activities among European organised crime groups.

B now seems to be saying he accidentally smothered C!!

«Μίλησε» το κινητό του πιλότου – Τι έκανε πριν και μετά τη δολοφονία

“I lay down next to her and hugged her. I told her to take the little one and go upstairs and she replied "no, do not bring the little one, I do not want you". And she started shaking her body to leave my arms. I kept holding her tight and telling her that the little one had to go upstairs to sleep. At one point as her face was shaking it was on the pillow I mean that her mouth and nose were resting on the pillow, I kept holding her tightly in my arms until I realized that Caroline had stopped rocking.

All this must have lasted around 5 minutes from the time I hugged her until the time she stopped rocking.”

I only have a Google translation but elsewhere in the article B also says he thought C might kill Lydia. Also includes time stamped data from B’s phone which disproved when he was immobilised

BBM (bolded by me)

I think we need to put this part under the microscope because it might be as important as the word ανατροπή was to us earlier (in the first thread):

ηθικός αυτουργός

we could also translate this as inciter, instigator, or even as, accessory before the fact

check out this video with AK. (you need to watch the clip from 3:45-5:45 to get the full context, but) specifically at 4:48 the newsman asks him to clarify if he's referring to this phrase, and he qualifies his answer.

How do you interpret this interview (from 3:45-5:45)? Although he never uses this word, the way AK is talking it says to me that for sure (in AK's opinion) B was involved in, what we say in Greek, βρομοδουλειές, "dirty work," in other words, in the context here, criminal activities.

The curtain behind the curtain isn't about some mistress as some here are speculating, it's about "black" money and criminal activities. IMO

AK: C probably found out about these criminal activities and she had to be silenced

The issue and the mystery here then is what kind of criminal activities is AK talking about?
I completely agree. And mr AK must have some knowledge of those βρωμοδουλειές, because I highly doubt he would make such allegations on TV if they didn't have any basis.
I was also thinking about those reports I read
He keeps saying, over and over again, via his lawyer, "The only one I care about is my child", "I did what I did with my child's best interest in mind" etc. Now, I know this is probably just an attempt to play the role of the loving father, gain public sympathy, and have a shot at less (than the already ridiculous) jail time, but what if there's some truth into it? What if his baby's life was indeed threatened? And what if he believes (rightfully or not) that she is still in danger?

Why not rent a flat or room in the beautiful and romantic town of Chania instead? The girlfriend/mistress angle doesn't make sense to me because the house is in Souda.

Chania - Wikipedia

IMO there is something about Souda that will come out. Why Souda?

If B is eventually charged with other criminal acts, eg espionage, smuggling, etc, found guilty and sentenced for that, then that sentence will be added to his sentence for murder. Would those sentences be served concurrently, or consecutively?

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in but I have been quietly following this thread.
I don’t really have much to add but a snippet regarding an unsolved suspected murder of a British millionaire in Souda Crete Feb 2021. I’m not implying it is in any way related but a possible insight into criminal activity in the area. Food for thought
Family of dead Brit found tied to sunken yacht off Crete 'fear he was murdered'

I looked into that case too a few days ago but I then found out that:

"Local media reported that he was the victim of a robbery on his boat two years ago and was found with his feet bound by a rope.

Mr Roberts’ family told The Sun they fear his death was no accident as he has had fierce rows over property developments in recent years."

So there could be a connection to this case but I doubt it.

In my opinion they should run consecutively as they are different crimes. But the judge can choose the highest sentence to be served and others to run concurrently. I wonder what will be the parole limit??

How pathetic is this man.

Wonder how his phone tracked him in the house. Maybe he had more than one wlan station?

There are many apps which have a pedometer which measures one's steps as long as your mobile is on your body. But they seem to also have been able to find out the time and know which room he was in as well at that time.

Step Tracker might have been the one B had.

Real-time Map Tracker
In GPS tracking mode, step counter tracks your fitness activity in detail (distance, pace, time, calories), and records your routes on the map with GPS in real-time. But if you don’t choose GPS tracking, it will count steps with built-in sensor to save battery.

Maybe B deliberately waited until he knew C was well asleep before he murdered her. Her being a Karate expert, his best chance was to attack her from behind.

In my opinion it is him trying to shift the blame on Caroline and infer that she was not looking after the baby and he was only worried about the baby's safety and that is why he was angry with Caroline He is only interested in himself.

I read he downloaded this app a few days before the murder. Did he forget about it??

Good point.

IMO the only way that would make sense is if his organised crime boss told him to murder both his wife and child but he could not bring himself to murder Lydia.

He is still lying, always lying :( And he seems not to be aware that his lies are ridiculous. I view him as detached from reality.

He must have forgotten that it had a GPS Tracker. They tell you if you have gone upstairs and this one tell you the time you do it. Mine does not have the time or GPS Tracker.

Or they could have told him "Kill your wife-who knows about your illegal activities and could rat you out-, or we will kill both her and your baby". That's my own opinion of course, and the whole "baby possibly in danger" is just speculation from my part.
