I wouldn't discard the idea that he wanted to flee with a baby. She is of his "blood" and macho men are very possessive about their children, often treated as "heirs". He is a monster, granted, but it doesnt exclude love (however twisted) for his child. Mind you - he didn't kill Lydia. Nothing is that simple, especially when concerning humans.

It's not remotely funny of course, but in a different situation I may have smiled at the notion that in these modern times we now argue by text.
I can relate to that because I sometimes text my teenager at night when I'm trying to sleep and her music is too loud, then she texts back with all kinds of excuses.

In this case it was very lucky that the evidence was in the phone data. He must have known it would only be a matter of time. The cellphone and camera data prove the murder was premeditated and not done in a sudden fit of rage.

I doubt it. She was, as you say, in Athens with his parents. I don't think he planned on returning to Athens after the memorial.

ETA - Macho men may be very proud of showing off and telling the world that they have a child - but often they are far less interested in actually looking after the child on a daily basis. MOO of course.

It is never about love, it is control. Whether it be his wife, his parents, his baby, or the dog, it's control.

Or he may have planned on leaving the baby with his mother. He would have been easily identified travelling with a baby.

In an attempt to justify the heinous crime against 20-year-old Caroline at their home in Glyka Nera , he allegedly said that he decided to direct the robbery because he did not want their daughter to be left without a mother and father.

[...]

At the same time, the data from the security camera and the removal of the memory card revealed an interaction that the camera had with the home router.

[...]

He allegedly lost his temper, climbed on top of her and strangled her with his hand, pressing a pillow to her face.

EL.AS sources note that he did not use a T-shirt or anything else.

Is it for a Court to decide with whom the baby will live? Will adoption follow? Will B as a murderer of the mother be stripped of parental rights? It is very interesting.

Doesn't C have a brother and sister? Maybe one of them could adopt the baby? Taking on a baby full time would be a lot of work for his parents, as I assume they're much older, and her father is frail, so her mum might not be able to either. Do we know if he has any siblings?

YES:) They deserve this reward 300.000 to fund their Department. Or was the reward just a smokescreen for B's benefit?
I don't think the government would offer such a huge reward if they didn't want to find the suspects responsible for the "real" robberies. One woman was tied up and beaten in front of her 12 year old daughter and another man died from his injuries at the hospital. They should be held accountable. Many of them had reportedly already spent time in prison and chances are they will continue to reoffend. LE apparently recieved over a thousand calls according to an article linked earlier, but none were helpful in Caroline's murder. They still may get tips that lead to the other crimes, though.

Whoever is responsible for the elderly man's death should be charged with murder. It was because of the recent violent burglaries in the area that Babis was able to come up with the scenario in the first place. Police said there were some similarities yet some differences. The main difference was the "intent" to kill Caroline. I suspect in the robbery in which the man later died there was no intent. Imo

One thing I learned from my relationship with a narcissist, they tell outrageous lies and excuses as if they are believable. They don't seem to comprehend how obvious their lies are, even when confronted they will add another excuse.
The one I knew was from a very wealthy family with parents who both neglected and overindulged him, I guess the overindulgence is to make up for the neglect? They bailed him out and hired the best lawyers so there was never a record or consequence for his bad decisions. Not until drugs killed him, anyway, and even then, the parents blamed others.
Everyone has a reason for who they are, people sometimes struggle with relationships as a result of growing up in unhealthy environments lacking connection, love and nurturing and without being taught and grounded in ethics.
Jmo from knowing a narcissist intimately and reading a lot about narcissism during our relationship.
I'm not saying this is what happened in this case, it's only an observation.
