That is so wrong and disgusting.
The poor man :(

Oh, you mean, like the Georgian who was falsely accused while LE allegedly knew it was B the whole time? Give a read to this Ef Syn article from today to get your blood boiling.

Supreme Court investigation into the leak of Caroline's diary

[...]

The subject of the order of the prosecutor of the Supreme Court, V. Pliotas, is the publication of data from the case file for the crime in Glyka Nera . In particular, Mr. Pliotas ordered the Prosecutor 's Office to conduct a criminal investigation into ex officio prosecuted offenses, especially with regard to the publication of Caroline's diaries .

[...]

He also points out that the publication of these "is already perceived and reasonably, as a possible insult to the personality of the victim himself [herself] and can even be considered, that can contribute to creating a favorable climate for the accused, during the course of criminal proceedings."

Some strange goings on - the resignation of the defence attorney and the leak of the diaries. I wonder if there is any link.

I'm getting a sense that C knew something about B's dealings that might have prevented B being assured of custody rights of their daughter, and implicated another party, if they divorced. Speculation only.

Well, he did tie up and beat an elderly couple in a previous robbery, since he was charged with bodily harm. So there's that. But yes, four days of that kind of treatment must have been brutal. I didn't realize Greek police were allowed to treat suspects that way.

In what form were the diaries written? Handwritten or on mobile or computer? I wonder how they could prove who wrote them if digitalised? My gut feeling has always been that B wrote them after the fact as part of his premeditation.

"I was tied to a chair for four days. I was beaten very badly by the police, I was dizzy and when one of them was tired, the other continued. They did not ask me anything, they just told me to confess that I killed the girl. I did not know what girl they were talking about. They told me "You killed her". I later learned that her husband had killed her and that I was being accused of theft. I have nothing to do with any theft. I only had fake papers. "
OMG!!!!!!!!!!

You could be right. It had to be someone close to B. His family seems to have turned his back on him and I doubt a friend would have done it for him, although it's possible.

At any rate, things are not looking good for Babis. The evidence against him is overwhelming. If he was a real man he would plead guilty to the crime and accept his sentence.

A 'real man' who crept up on a sleeping 19 year old mum and smothered her for 6 minutes, and hanged the puppy? No, I don't think so. He's only admitted what they've shown him proof of, there is no conscience involved in this case. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I found out "Also included in the file are notes and Crouch's diary in code".

{{ngMeta.title}}

A previous poster said CC wrote texts in English and her diary in Greek.

But if they were written in code, who deciphered the code?

Yes, that's why I'm guessing he will plead not guilty and the defense will continue to develop their case. From everything we've heard so far he's preparing to fight, and in the process attack the victim's character and reputation for his own benefit. Imo

She probably hadn't even graduated high school.
I even think she was pregnant (1st pregnancy that ended with miscarriage) that time. Thats why she was given parental consent and the wedding was rushed and even her friends weren't informed. Shotgun wedding??

Do we know how good B's understanding of English is?

That's what I speculate too.

According to B, they married on May 14, 2018. She was 16 and wouldn't turn 17 until July. Even going by Greek tradition and saying she was already 17 because of the year she was born in, this confirms that they eloped to Portugal because she was too young legally to get married in Greece. Since social media is not an approved source here, you'll have to go check his ig out for yourself, but ya.

I have been wondering whether CC was pregnant before they were married in Portugal hence they decided they needed to marry as soon as possible so had to go to Portugal. I thought I read that no parents were present and they went there alone. Is that correct? Then she had the miscarriage two months after they married. As media states that she was pregnant again two months after the miscarriage which is a very short time between but was it really two months after they married which would have left a longer time between?

Google told me this: Pregnancy after a miscarriage, contrary to popular beliefs and even many official recommendations, can have a high chance of success. More specifically, couples who try to conceive within three months of a miscarriage may be more likely to become pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy than those who wait longer.

So an eye for an eye? LE isn't Old Testament, it's supposed to follow procedures and laws and stuff, not spend 4 days beating a suspect, whether he's guilty of the crime or not.

He studied in Liverpool - chopper flights course. Young Greeks like other Europeans are fluent in English. This language is in school curriculum.

I agree. Great minds think alike! I just posted about that myself before I read your post!

No we don't know if B spoke English but CC wrote her text messages in English so I guess they were to him.

Turns out, B was joking, according to one of the hashtags. So unless we get more info, we have to assume they married in 2019.
