Good morning to all from the West Texas desert. We are all well here. Same paper goods, cleaning supplies, eggs, any forms of vegetables shortages, continue as before..... Home schooling and yard work await my wife and I here....But first a little more coffee..... Yall stay safe today.......:)..........yourdeplorabletexasrednecktrophyhusbandreportercody22..........moo
We are about to run out of critical supplies in this household-namely, Gummies for the 2 and a half year old. It's the only thing we have to stop the tantrums. BUT we won't be making any frivilous trips to go buy them either. He will just have to get over it. Tough Love.

You can likely find them on-line somewhere.

Has anyone had any luck ordering TP from anywhere?
Nooooope And stores seem to be out when we can get there. Good luck. I’m practically ready to start rationing tp to my own household members lol.

We have these community FB groups that announce when TP is in stock - members post and so far I’ve gotten what I need and shared with others who haven’t had the time to go when it’s stocked up/ even with limits it’s gone in 15 minutes

Keep any newsprint that comes thru your mailbox. We get weekly flyers and I am keeping them as a final solution. Newsprint tears really well. :D

And, the leaves will be out soon. LOL

I had a "CTJ Meeting" with my husband about shopping, and the difference between "want" and "need". He is finally beginning to "get it".

He just isn't used to the concept of "going without", he is used to "immediate gratification". As the cases continue to escalate here, every time I go to the store increases risk for both of us.

He made a list of things that he really wants, I will get them today. And end this, "Run to the store and get me a cucumber".

I grew up with a Grandmother who lived in the Depression. If anyone wanted something, you put it on a list on the fridge. Food, clothes, whatever. The reasonable items were purchased, no problem. Any sort of "want", had to be reviewed with Grandma. There was no immediate gratification in our house.

I need to do that with certain family members - I’m exhausted from the fear of going to the stores - and still working (grateful) today is a fresh lemon ...when we have lemon juice ..sigh

My kid did a shopping trip - 4 stores - no TP but she got a package of paper towels! She found hand soap at the 3rd stop. No breakfast bars of the type I can eat is disappointing. I eat those when the nausea is bad.

My medical order came in - I got the 70% alcohol wipes! (Medicare has a monthly order allotment of medical supplies, in case you weren’t aware.)

My vehicle tire has a nail or something so my kid is taking it to the shop. Now, we have wipes to clean everything off after she drives it. Also, before I go for my next treatment. Huge relief!

I got applesauce for that tip in mind. My grandma used tio use it as a substitute as well. She had 8 kids so she conserved food whenever possible. Making breakfast took a dozen eggs at a time. LOL

I get it. My mom had 7 kids. She got powdered milk once. Blech. I use alternatives because I'm vegan and I like cake, cookies, muffins ...

I just received a call from my ShopRite shopper.

They have NO toilet paper of any kind and NO Parmalat milk. I was able to find dry milk at Dollar General last week, but was looking for boxed milk too.

Again it seems the shelves are bare. People must be stocking up more.

My next delivery is from Peapod on April 10th. By then I will be desperate for TP :(

I do have a couple boxes of Klennex. Is that better for the sewer than paper towels?

Better to bag the tissues as you would if you were blowing your nose. If you put anything other than TP down your toilet, you could have plumbing problems. Dont want to have to call a plumber in times like these.

If you get flyers/newspapers, keep those cause newspaper tears easily! :D

Stay safe, stay healthy!

NOOOOO, don't flush any Kleenex!!!!! I made that costly mistake a few years ago. The plumber urged me to never use it again. It clogs the pipes because it doesn't fully break down in water.

Today, I was ordering from amazon prime. They showed toilet paper, clorox wipes and paper towels as available, so of course I loaded them in my cart. Wouldn't you know, when delivery windows became available and I went to check out, those items were no longer available.
They just tease you with the good stuff, and just when you think you are going to get it. Puff... It was just a dream.

Report from rural Georgia Walmart from thedeplorableeducatedredneck: Toilet paper. One package handed out per: not much left at 330. Spaghetti sauce and pasta restocked. Butter and eggs- some. Don’t drink milk, so no idea. Fruit- finally fresh, not old and icky. Veggies too
