I'm local and know some of the LE involved. I think he will be found guilty of obstruction.

Ugh, "Fred Gwynne" as judge again.

He's all dressed with a light blue bow tie and to me he looks like the White Rabbit in Alice In Wonderland.

He absolutely does!

Also, my boss is traveling out of country this week- Guess who can listen to the trial non stop??!! Ahhh yessss !

Also, also, I love the cameraman on the stream zooming in on TM and crew. He/She knows what we want to see! IMO

Opening Statements, State is talking now.

Assistant Solicitor Josh Holford is addressing jurors now. Talking about the very start of the investigation.

Holford says Moorer's story changed multiple times in early parts of the investigation when Moorer was asked about when he spoke to Heather.

Holford says Moorer lied about a pay phone call he made to Heather Elvis when he was asked about it by law enforcement.

Moorer's attorney James Galmore now addressing the jurors.

Defense opening statements...... talking about how everyone in the court has a role. That's basically all he is saying. I see no correlation between his speech and this case.

Right, he should sit down now. The Judge just went over the same things.

There is no substance in Sidney's defense. I hope he gets up on the stand this time around but I highly doubt it.

Galmore: "You have to be firmly convinced of the guilt of the accused...you have to listen to this evidence, and you have to decide."

I feel like what we just witnessed as the defense opening statement was what was taught in law school the day they learned, "How to Make an Opening Statement When You Know Your Client is Guilty."

I can't seem to get any of the live stream links to work, so I'll just post the tweets from Kaitlin:

Sidney and Tammy Moorer are here. We are just waiting on the jury panel to be brought up to the courtroom to continue the selection process.

Asst. Solicitor Josh Holford says Moorer was dishonest and deceitful in the first few days of investigation into Heather's disappearance.

The defense is talking to the jury in their opening statement about reasonable doubt and burden of proof.

"You have to be firmly convinced of the guilt of the accused." - public defender James Galmore said

Defense is urging the jury to keep an open mind and not to jump to any conclusions

Galmore said to jury that their common sense and life experiences will be used to make a decision in this case.

Sgt. Danny Furr with Horry County Police Dept. is the first witness called to the stand.

Totally agree. My theory of the whole case is a little different but mostly from SLED agents I've talked to. I think TM should have been tried first.

Has the judge been reading the public opinion of himself online? Or does he really prefer male attorneys? JMO Thinking out loud but he's "over ruled" several of KT objections.
