McCollum, when listing examples of overt action for kidnapping, said buying cuffs. Umm, not if your client already had a pair -- like the police use -- according to her.

I thought he was sitting down twice now but he's still talking...

Ah, ok, thanks, Chelly. What would he be watching on the laptop? Probably not the livestream, right?

Wow - he brings up the Manson case and how Nixon said something about he was obviously guilty and that it's the jury who judges the facts and gets to decide.

And in the very next breath, he said the jury will look at the case and say wow - there is no evidence.

Sit down Please!

  • #406
Just sit down!

They are still investigating because a person is missing. Someone daughter is missing. Someone’s sister is missing. A human being is missing so yes they are still investigating

As I feared, he is appealing to the people on the jury who don't like the government. "If the government can do it Tammy Moorer, they can do it to anyone."

Oh lord, stop the political crap. I can't with this man.

#TammyMoorer - Defense theme during closing arguments is fairy tale (playing off prosecution closing), no evidence.

This is pure misery. Just sit down.

Now you mention it! I’m honestly baffled how they think he has done such an incredible job! o_O

He's putting doubt in the jurors' minds or at least trying- that's the defense atty's job and maybe they thought he was doing a good job doing that?

Tammy is looking tense.

Someone send this man some potstickers.

  • #415
Wow - finished off by making it clear there is only one victim in this. Tammy Moorer *rolleyes*

Defense, “Tammy Moorer is not guilty of kidnapping. Tammy Moorer is not guilty of conspiracy.” Said he doesn’t believe the state proved the charges without a reasonable doubt. #TammyMoorerTrial

Defense ends closing arguments. State prosecution now back talking. #TammyMoorerTrial

The defense ends its closing argument and told the jury that each of you is a separate juror and not a team to convict, and if you give a damn about what anyone else thinks during this case your violating the oath. @WBTWNews13

#TammyMoorer - Defense ends with: I"m confident that each and every one of you will reach a unanimous verdict of not guilty of kidnapping and conspiracy to kidnap.

State prosecution said they do not have a body. But this isn't a murder case. State Prosecutor said they will not let it go just because they have not found the body of Heather Elvis. #TammyMoorerTrial

These days, defense closings tend to be less abrasive and harsh
Ah, ok, thanks, Chelly. What would he be watching on the laptop? Probably not the livestream, right?

I don't remember ever seeing someone sitting with a judge before to counsel him/her. Strange...

Nancy says the only things the State has (evidence wise) are things that were outside of SM and TM's control.

Said everything the defense submitted could be changed by TM.
