How do they decide when to send them home or how long to deliberate for the evening?

She keeps wiping her eyes and nose. I think she's been crying. She looks scared. But, I'm sure not nearly as scared as HE was. Moo
She also said on the stand this morning she has a cold. So it could be that too.

Has anyone seen older son in courtroom today? I haven't seen him sitting with the family.

Could be a show for the jury.

Tammy's neck is turning red and she's swallowing hard. Hope she's feeling fear.

Int hat case I hope they give her 2 days ..of wondering...Then rock her world with a guilty verdict...

Two days makes me think of the Casey Anthony case...Ugh.

If I had to guess, I would expect a verdict within 24 hours, but that’s jmo, of course.

Juries usually work within regular court hours and can choose when to take lunch and when to take their breaks. They'll probably work until 5:30pm to 6pm this evening. If it went later than that I'd be surprised.

No he's been too busy on one of the game FB pages trying to convince people of TM innocence. IMO

Conference call done. Couldn't concentrate. Must backread. Missed the State's final word. Did the good guys win yet? (Kidding, I know the jury has to deliberate.)

I expect this jury to take about 8 hrs of deliberation. That seems to be an average amount in many cases. But who knows...

Knowing that your fate lies in the hands of strangers has got to be terrifying. If you don't do the crime , you hopefully will not do the time.

TM, you put yourself in this position.

I now understand why the State took issue with that part of the judge's charge. He just explained to the jury that if the State proved TM was at the scene of the crime, but did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she participated in the crime, they must find her not guilty.

Yikes. So if the video of the truck and all the phone records only get them to the point of believing TM was at the Landing that night, it's not enough.

Yes, I don't understand exactly why that statement was made by the judge in the instructions. The law in SC is hand of one hand of all.

Criminal law in South Carolina recognizes a form of accomplice liability commonly referred to as the “hand of one, hand of all.” This is where a person who participates in a crime with another person or group of people can be charged with some or all the crimes committed by the other person or group as if the person participated in the separate crimes.

Where are you folks seeing Tammy in closeup? All I've seen is a wide view of the courtroom and nothing that allows me to see her or her neck closely.

Has anyone else noticed how her table has been ignoring her all day? Literally turning their backs to her or staring straight ahead or to the left.
