Hailey Dunn General Discussion #1

My guess is that it takes a lot of trust for LE to let a 3rd-party organization come in and search on their 'turf'. Although everyone wants the person found, LE has to worry about the preservation of evidence as well.

While some have faith in Tim Miller and TES, I'm not sure all LE agencies do.

Just my take. As for me (and I realize I don't really amount to a hill of beans in these cases), I admire and trust TM and TES 110% - and then some.

Yes but the weird thing is they let Gayle St John in and Tim has to be more reputable than her surely? I actually think TES would have done a far better job than LE seems to have so far.

It could simply be the way her jacket was zipped but one thing to consider is IF she was what your trying to say it doesn't necessarily mean that Shawn was involved with that part of it.

She didn't have the hoodie on all the time, there are some shots of her in a t-shirt. Could just be that she "likes to eat like all Country Girls" but she does seem a bit thick through the midsection. Lots of girls get a slightly chubby look just before they develop a real feminine figure, who knows.

I DO feel that, if I wanted to hide a pregnancy, a half-zipped hoodie would rock. I could zip it over the bump, let it hang over the top of my pants, so even if I couldn't fasten the top button anymore, nobody would know (or I could switch to sweats).

I am neither supporting nor attacking the theory, or Hailey.

I remember several years back when we first got an X BOX for our son it had the ability to allow other users to access the hard drive and use it for extra power in research. I think what my hubby had set up was to allow a University to use it when our son was not to help them with some type of genome . I was not foun of the idea since I have no knowledge of these new advancement in technology and was not comfortable letting unkown sources have access to our home/unit.

I dont think they kept it up but I wouldnt be suprised if hackers have had their way with it, so just letting yall know outside sources can get access to that box if you let them or perhaps if they know how...im not not anywhere near up to date on these hightech thingys

This just made me think of something. I recently fixed my long-dead desktop PC and also my even older laptop. When I set up the network connection for our wifi, it found my daughter's XBOX all by itself. Apparently, if she has a movie running, or is playing a game, I can watch too?

The only reason I post this obit is to clarify rumors about DO's death. Personally, I think we should not be discussing her dead Father. MOO~

I tend to agree. He was born 23 Nov 1961 and died 22 Oct 1992 in a hospital in Lubbock County of a gunshot wound.

He was 31. Billie was in her early teens. About the age Hailey was when she disappeared. So it seems having children at a young age is not unusual in the family.

My apologies if this has already been covered recently, but at what point did BD stop outwardly defending SA? I'm trying to comb through all the threads, but so far I can't tell when it happened.

I was just re-listening to Tricia's show from Feb '12 where BD was a guest, and she seemed so insistent on his innocence back then. I'm trying to pinpoint what and when caused such a huge change of opinion from her?

She says it was based on her observations of his behavior (stalking her?) when she tried to end the relationship.

I'm of the opinion that this case and people surrounding it, ie. armchair detectives investigating the PI, and other troublemakers in general, have almost ruined Mac's career. I'm not just guessing at this, I know it for a fact. I believe he almost HAD to "change his mind" about what happened to Hailey and who did what. By contacting Peter Hyatt, I believe he was trying to save what was left of his sullied career by trying to appear as "one of the good guys."

Lord knows I used to have an extremely high opinion of Mac, but since this case, and things I personally know...well, now, not so much.

God be with him though

LOTS of people are taken in by Billie at first. I was. I am still "on the fence" but I lean a bit more every day.

The odd thing though is they was recently searching for Ali Lowitzer who is from Texas so some parts at least are happy to cooperate with TES.

Wasn't Mac also on that case???

The reporter asked Billie Jean Dunn if she knew Callahan, who is serving five years in a federal prison in Fort Worth on drug charges, and she replied she did not.

“I was really upset with the way KTAB (presented the information) and even assuming that I might have met that Sonja lady,” she said. “I don’t associate with those types of people.”

I didn't have a fall, despite being a strong supporter of Billie at first.
I had a graceful slide... into a fluffy pile of pillows.

It was only a "little bit" shocking. :giggle:
I'm just talented like that I guess. :seeya:

Yes although she added him on her friends list on facebook after the relationship ended ;)

The waiting is painful ...

Sure wish LE would give an update, even if just to say it may be weeks or months. Just say something!!!

Surely they can determine sex fairly quickly? If nothing else?

Things have changed I guess. Clint was told a year and half ago that Hailey was dead.

Was he told that by LE? I also remember him saying they continually questioned him about her location.
I have never heard a confirmation from anyone that she is deceased.

With so many different agencies involved no telling... JMO.
One believes he has her hidden, then another says she is in Mexico, still another is telling him she is deceased.

I do need to listen to Hyatt's show with the PI.
Although, I don't care for his analysis/fictional true stories. Sorry, just saying it like it is.

The affidavit could be inaccurate - as long as they had reasonable cause to write it, could they get in trouble for inaccurate information in it?

If they knowingly write inaccurate or false information in the affidavit, they would not be able to use evidence gathered by the warrant, so truthfullness is a big deal. They might be delibrately dense, but saying that they did something or had information they didn't is not allowed.

They wouldn't necessarily get into trouble (beyond possible charges for making false statements in extreme cases), but they would lose their evidence.

Clint had said HIMSELF that he was told Hailey is dead :( No agency believes he has her hidden as he was publicy cleared by LE of being involved in his daughters disasppearance unlike her mother.

I never understood why Texas EquuSearch was not called in. I remember there being discussion about it early on, but it seems like Billie would not agree to it for some reason. It's been awhile, so I could be wrong. Does anyone else remember this?

Raising my hand, I remember something about TES wanting to search a lake with sonar or something. I just can't remember the details of what happened or what didn't happen. For whatever reason I don't think the search was done.
