BBM

I can't help but feel that the above bolded comments are a denigration of a little girl who, through no fault of her own, is now deceased & a victim of homicide, perhaps by her own mother's former live-in lover.

There have been zero reports of Hailey taking off during the night.

Lots of teens sleep on the living room couch, for a variety of reasons.

I find it offensive to try to paint Hailey in a negative light in order to defend the adults in the home, one of whom is a named suspect in her disappearance.

I find it utterly OFFENSIVE too and I have stated it previously. There has been NO mention directly or indirectly by anyone other than the POI, SA, that Hailey was anything other than a good girl with no history of doing anything immoral or illegal. That can NOT be said for the parents and the live in lover of Hailey's Mother.

The media will have the info soon enough.
Has CD made it home?
Is he able to plan her funeral soon?

(if you can answer, if not don't)

Someone on facebook said he was flying in from California yesterday.

Looks like everybody self-edited. Thank you all so much! Saves us mods lots of work :)

Yes - PH & Statement analysis is not allowed in our threads. On occasion when PH has a radio show of interest to WSers, we open a thread in the parking lot for following the show and discussion. That's the only time we do Statement Analysis here.

Again - thanks!

Ok, so, suppose your daughter disappeared, and lets assume you knew she had enquired about getting pot.

Then, when the LEO investigating asked you if she had ever had expressed an interest in drugs, would you lie and say no, because you were concerned about her reputation?

Or you would you tell them what you know, because it could help them find her?

Keep in mind that SA was not the only person to have said this, there were at least two others who independently said the same thing. So, why should we assume that SA must therefore be lieing?

Since SA failed 2 polygraphs and walked out on a 3rd. Why would we assume he was telling the truth?

Anything on the news yet locals?

I have their sites up...clicking back and forth, waiting for a big red "BREAKING NEWS" banner across the top. Nuthun yet. :-(

I don't take anything either adult occupants of that household have said as gospel truth. JMO.

Too many lies, too much illicit stuff that could be the reason for some of the lies, but which?

Nope, easier for me just to stick to what LE has to tell me in this case.

we are all checking newslinks and vinelink like a bunch of crack monkeys as my friend Minette is fond of saying.

sigh. Wish some news of an arrest would hurry up and break. Gonna have to go get kiddo from afterschool prog here shortly :(

The bigger question is why did he tell them a county to look in instead of a town such as Snyder??? I don't refer to where I live as Stonewall County. I live in Aspermont which just happens to be in Stonewall County. We only refer to our county's during weather updates.

Maybe it is a regional thing. For instance out here in West Texas if you live in town it is referred to by the name of the town, Snyder. If one is referring to "out in the country, outside city limits, it is the county. So when LE asked SA where Hailey could be found he essentially told them exactly where, outside the city limits of Snyder Texas.... Scurry County. JMO.

Amen to that! Often an abuser will try to sully the reputation of their victim, or they will claim the victim enticed or seduced them. They always blame the victim for their own actions. Makes me sick.

Sending hugs to those here who have told their own stories of abuse. I am in awe of your strength and your willingness to share so that others may know the truth about family abusers. It happens more than people realize, and it is only in bringing the topic out of the shadows and into the light that it will stop.

Also Friday, KTXS News learned there may be an official suspect in the case.

"We have possible suspect information, but at this time, nothing that I can really put out," Colorado City Police Chief Roy Tinker Owens said.

Previously, Shawn Adkins -- who was Hailey Dunn's mother's 25-year-old live-in boyfriend at the time of the child's disappearance -- was identified by authorities as being a "person of interest" in the case.

Are trials televised in Texas?

I just don't know...I've never watched one that was in court in Texas, maybe if the media, like court TV finds the trial interesting enough then they ask for permission to cover the trial???? I just have no idea. I hope someone knows for sure and let's us know.

  • #897
Do you think there will be a trial?
I'm :fence:

  • #898
Please DO NOT SPECULATE that Hailey was pregnant. There are NO facts to back that up. Don't go there.

Susan Wright's trial was televised she lived in Houston TX
But there is no "CourtTV" now...

"Wright's murder trial had been nationally televised on CourtTV"
